Notification bar question? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an app called burn in saviour for running the notification bar only to stop uneven pixel degradation. It was preset for the galaxy s2 but now I have this but don't know how many pixels makes up the notification bar. Does anyone know exactly how many pixels it is exactly?

Yes I do have a screen burn which looks like the power off symbol on my bottom half of screen. I have no clue where it comes from though... Never had something like that shown on my display.
It is only visible on brighter gray and if you look close so since I prefer colourful wallpaper I only see it sometimes when pulling down notification bar

I have it also a tiny spot 2mms across which is seen on gray and brighter colors, not that much, almost nothing on dark colors.

Yes, I have slight burn-in from the AOSP Clock (time and the buttons at the bottom).
I've got one above the misdemeanor towards right corner of the screen. Gonna replace screen, never seen on previous exchanges models.

Yes...I've burn in of opera mobile's reload and tabs icon at the bottom... Specially visible when the screen is of near white color! Sad to see it happening so soon
Is it warranty covered? Is there anything else we can do about it?

[Q] You can change brightness by swiping the taskbar?

I just got the AT&T Note today and I notice I can control the screen brightness from ANY screen by doing this:
1). Press and hold the top taskbar
2). Swipe left to reduce brightness - swipe right to increase brightness
Is this a Note feature or a Kernel feature? I am rooted using Odin.
It is a Touchwiz feature, AFAIK.
Its called status bar, and its touchwiz feature.

(Q) How many of you use the navigation bar in resurrection remix Rom?

I been wondering how many of you use the navigation bar?
I been using it on and off. I just worried about screen burn in.

Never used it
I like my hardware controls so I've never had the urge to use the navigation bar. Seems a bit pointless on the SII. I've had screen burn in from the status bar, though, I wasn't happy about that.
I always hide my notification bar. So that is not a problem for me.
However using the navigation bar worried me. I made the navigation bar smallest possible. It doesn't take up to much screen space. I don't know. I am not sold on it yet.

Notifications not apearing on notification bar

Got my GS3 a few hours ago, but I have noticed something, on the notification bar all I get is a pentagon with a - inside it (don't worry I have a pic)
I was wondering how I can get rid of this, its stopping my notifications showing on the notification bar and is annoying me.
Up to now this is the only problem with the phone, any help will get a thanks.
Are you sure that notifications are turned on? If you scroll through the toggles in the slide-down part of the notification bar, you should see a toggle labeled "Notification". Make sure its icon is lit up green, like here:
Turn on your notifications, pull down top of the screen slide to the right and you will see it

In search of an app.

I'm looking for an app can capture does on your screen to use for later use. Example: if I wanted my status bar to match my background the app would allow me to click or highlight the background to get the specific for to use for the status bar. Any ideas anyone?

For clarity-i attached a screen shot of my home page, are you asking if there's an app that fills in the black strip that is the status bar. You want the status bar to be the same as said back ground?

No that's not what I mean. For instance if I wanted my status bar to be the same color as one of your icons on your home screen how could I get the exact color for that?

Yea I don't know. I did do some googleing around for my own pleasure and I came up with a few old xda links. The links talked about changing status color but it was in frame work etc...way out of my league. I also looked thru play store and came up empty.

I do not know if this will help but there is an app called super status bar, not sure if it is still on the market but I believe that it is, and you can have your status bar look however you'd like. As far as having it the specific color of something else, you may just have to play around with colors as I've never heard of (but does not mean it does not exist) a program that can copy a color based off of a picture or background. Hope that helps. Best wishes
