Quadcore meaning - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guyz sorry for being a noob. I have a small confusion about quadcore does it mean that every single core has been clocked to 1.4Ghz or does the 1.4Ghz work is distributed to every core. Again sorry for being a noob.

Each core can go up to that, including all simultaneously.

[Q] Which processor

Hey guys,
I am grishm from india. I have a new SGS 2 . I want to know my phone works on which processor - Tegra 2 or the Exynos processor? Can anybody help me?
Thanx in advance..
All SGS 2 are working on Exynos. Samsung Galaxy R will be with Tegra 2.
Wait, weren't some S2's equipped with other processors?

Nope, it was rumored there will be a Tegra 2 version, but that didn't happen. Apparently they will put Tegra 2 on Galaxy R.

how 2 double core sgs2

the is Software
on market name 2nd core
And your question was?
Sent from my sgs2 running cm9 using xda app
You mean Tegrak's 2nd Core ? What about it ?
As My most learned colleague Makrilli said, that wasn't a question. Actually, it wasn't even a statement come to think of it. Clarify for god's sake man !

That statment is misleading, 2ndcore DOES not double your cores, it just allows you, with the right kernel, to have more control over your existing dual core processor that is in the S2, FYI

[Q] ace or ace 2?

Except the CPU,gpu, internal memory and ram..i don't think he would want to lose much

CPU- Ace,800mhz single core armv6
Ace2,800mhz dual core arm ****(i forgot)
Internal memory-Ace, 512mb which is ****
Ace2,4gb which is awesome
RAM-Ace,512mb ram
Ace2,768mb ram
Camera-Ace,normal **** video at 15fps
Ace2,720p HD videos
Display-Ace,mdpi resolution
Ace2,helicopter resolution
Now,you know that these phones are not even in the same league.Antwerp, there might be errors in the specs i have listed out, since most are the ones i remember

Galaxy SII or III when it comes out, lol.
Ace 2
800Mhz ARM-Cortex A8 dual-core (ARMv7)
Defy-ing all limits.
the camera is more than 15fps. But yeah the ace2 specs look way better, I feel robbed having brought my ace only a month before ace 2 announced.

There has been no official word on the dual core version the only reason there is some speculation was because something a Samsung executive said when he should not have and a device profile for Verizon.
Now don't get me wrong here I still thing the US LTE versions are going to have the S4 chipset but I am going to keep my hopes up and pray to god we don't get an HTC One X clone(Hardware Wise)

Do what everyone else has done, read the reviews and posts, they will answer 99% of all "will it......" questions.
Don't mean to pick on you and I will say I am sorry if that's how I come off but the sections are really getting cluttered with some useless questions. I enjoy reading all the reviews and watching the videos of people who already have them in their hands. It's very informative.
can any one can make me understand that why samsung will use a dual core processor instead of a quad core processor for LTE?

The S4 has a built-in LTE modem, Samsung has not yet made their own SoC with a LTE modem in it.
Basically they would have to make room for a LTE chip, and instead of doing that they simply opt for the S4 with the built-in LTE modem.

Because the hardware for lte isn't currently comparable with the quad core.

samsung has promised to give LTE service in some selected countries. but one of you has said that LTE is not capable with the hardware of s III. then how it'll be possible to give LTE service? can you please make me understand?

The change is processors. The US versions have a dual core processor so they can support LTE. Any other version with LTE will also only have a dual core processor.

I think we need a thread that compare dualcore A15 vs quacore A9 once a for all so people can stop complaining that they didn't get a quadcore.

Galaxy S plus vs Galaxy S advance

which is better?
Spec wise go for the Advance. 1.4Ghz single for the S+ and the Advance is a dual core (I forget how many Ghz, think it was 1.0 or 1.2Ghz). Advance is alao slightly bigger I think (pretty similar to an S2). Also there's an official Jelly Bean coming out for it soon.
But. I think that the S+ had more ROM development for it than the Advance. I don't see many ROMs for the Advance so yeah...
