Going back to stock with PC Companion does NOT relock your bootloader, so you don't need to unlock it again. Check with S1Tool, you will probably see your phone is still bootloader-unlocked
i already relocked the phone and when to companion and don flashing or recovery but it is not working

Heya, I'm using .67 Firmware w/ Bootunlock, Rooted. I tried to update .73 Firmware in Sony PC Companion, it's new released version. Have any way to update it?
If you have installed the doom kernel and the recovery correctly, just restart in flashboot mode (blue led) and you can flash some 0.73 prerooted stock rom which you can downloadd from the xperia s android dev.
You can not use pc companion to update your phone when your bootloader is unlocked,
Thats why there is a re lock method, when relocked you can use the se software again
But will loos root probarbly
I have rooted my device on 6.1.A.0.452 and I wanna update it but it can't be updated because of the root (I tried to update it from Sony PC companion and phone updates it self and i failed ). So anyone give links to flash the new rom without any change
because you have rooted your phone im assuming you've unlocked your phone, you cant update your phone if you have unlocked your phone,
if u want to update via seus or pc companion you have to relock it again.
relocking bootloader
or if u just want to flash latest update, flash it via flashtool,
flashtool
firmwares
thanks for the reply and the links.
But I can flash without relocking it. Right ?!
I Guess I rooted it without unlocking the boot screen.
i need to restore xperia s to stock, currently it is unlocked boot loader, cwm recovery running ics 6.1.A.2.45 rooted.
the stock image requires flash tool that i am not sure i can use as have custom recovery.
will stock rom install stock recovery kernal etc i am having so many reboots and massive battery drain i think i will need to send for repair

what about stock recovery and will i be able yo install using flash tool as when an update was available it could not flash the official update because of modified kernal
To get official updates you need to relock your bootloader then repair via sus or pc companion.

if u want to flash via flashtool, you dont need to relock
but if ur using seus or pc companion u need to relock.
Go here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159
It will help you relock your bootloader..
And if you just want to get to a custom rom, you can flash using latest version of flashtools.. Simply download a firmware and flash it via flashtool and you are back to stock

Yes first thing you need to do is relock your bootloader. After re-locking it you can repair it via SUS or PC companion, then you will have stock Kernel and Rom.
Thanks! :good:
Hi,
I don't know how to get out this time...
I installed Zellycream on my rooted Xperia Mini ST15i (4.0.4) with locked BL, after installing CWM with X-Parts.
After booting up, fonts were not readable so I installed it again, forgetting to wipe before
Now I'm stuck in a bootloop without CWM (due to locked BL) and PC companion tells me that there is no software available.
Flashtool does not work with locked bootloader as far as I understand (I tried but it didn't work either).
Is there any option left I missed or can I throw it away?
Flashtool works great on locked bootloader. Just flash the stock rom .ftf in flashmode using flashtool and it'll work
Sent from my Nexus 4 running Android 4.4
yup... just like Mihahn said.. Flashtool works with locked and unlocked BL.. maybe you need to re-instal your adb driver on your PC so the flashtool will able to read it and works for you...
Hi
Im on Marshmallow AOSP 6.0.3 rooted and bootloader unlocked
so i was wondering how can i revert back to factory setup so that i can use Sony Pc Companion and update my Z2 to the latest sony stock firmware ?
some told me to just flash a stock firmware using flashtools but does it relock my bootloader ?
and I heard Pc companion only works if the device's bootloader is locked . Does it really need to be locked for the PC companion to update?

Did you backup TA partition before unblocking the bootloader???
If no then you cannot use PC companion
But why you need PC companion???
You can flash the lastest firmware with flashtools
