To get official updates you need to relock your bootloader then repair via sus or pc companion.

if u want to flash via flashtool, you dont need to relock
but if ur using seus or pc companion u need to relock.
Go here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159
It will help you relock your bootloader..
And if you just want to get to a custom rom, you can flash using latest version of flashtools.. Simply download a firmware and flash it via flashtool and you are back to stock

Yes first thing you need to do is relock your bootloader. After re-locking it you can repair it via SUS or PC companion, then you will have stock Kernel and Rom.
Thanks! :good:

Guys , some people are reporting that they are unable to revert to stock rom after flashing custom rom.
If you want to save your phone , then i highly recommend you to make a complete backup before flshing stock rom
go to cwm recovery and select backup/restore then backup (it will make your stock rom backup)
whenever you want to revert , go again to clockworkmod recovery and select restore under, backup/restore option
now last and most important thing to run stock rom ---> flash stock kernel using fastboot method
first grab stock kernel to do that , download your phones stock firmware from here = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10885406#post10885406
using 7zip extract kernel.sin file from .ftf firmware file
connect your phone in fastboot mode and run this command
fastboot flash boot kernel.sin
I'm doing it again and again without any problem.. just be sure to flash stock kernel before flashing stock rom.
thanks, i will try this method too
first flash stock kernel , then using flashtool flash firmware , am i right ?
Stock kernel (kernel.sin) is included in the package (of official stock firmware). So everytime you flash an official stock firmware, kernel.sin is also flashed. No need to flash kernel.sin before flashing stock firmware. Correct me if im wrong.
I also think same , i tried that method by noooooob and it worked too

yes you have to unlock boot-loaders first
i recommend to unlock by this method = http://androidflip.com/unlock-xperia-phones-bootloader-without-losing-drm-data-track-id-working/
if you want to install clockwork mod recovery then follow this = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1384200
Install CWM without unlocking bootloader
You don't need to unlock the boot loader to install CWM.
Follow instructions here to root First

Install CWM using this tool

This is how I did it on my Ray
I always considered flashing with Wotanserver to be the best way to go back to stock. It basically takes care of everything. Sure, you'll have to root again afterwards, but that's not exactly very hard.
wotan server is also a good choice
How can i revert back to stock rom from custom rom if i havent made any backups of stock rom??

Going back to stock with PC Companion does NOT relock your bootloader, so you don't need to unlock it again. Check with S1Tool, you will probably see your phone is still bootloader-unlocked
i already relocked the phone and when to companion and don flashing or recovery but it is not working
I looked for this all over XDA and google and couldn't find an answer,
I have an unlocked and rooted HOX+ international that had CM 10.2, I flashed a backup of my stock sense 4 using TWRP to try the official sense 5 update.
Now I need to re-lock bootloader and reinstall stock recovery for the HTC update to install, I can't find a stock recovery image anywhere and I'm not sure if it is even possible to do it this way without flashing an RUU?
Any help? any one can point me to a stock recovery image?
RECAP:
What I have: HOX+ International, stock sense 4, unlocked, rooted, TWRP recovery, HTC software update downloaded and ready to install
What I need: Relock, Revert to stock recovery (stock recovery img)
Thanks in Advance!

U have to unroot first........must be ok if u still get the notification for the Update installation...
Use SuperSu from Playstore.....and in the setting do full unroot......
then flash the Stock recovery and relock the bootloader.....
The main thing is u have to still get that notification to install the update.......

Full unroot with SuperSu
Flash stock recovery
Relock bootloader
Update wasn't in notification but worked from settings menu.
Now I'm on sense 5!

Yes. Flash stock ftf first then relock bootloader. If you try to relock bootloader on custom rom it won't boot.
Sent from my C6833 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yup, be sure to be on a stock ROM before you do it, and remember that you have to have root to restore TA. The standalone TA tool (from the cross dev section) restores and locks the bootloader, so no need to do it again in Flashtool after you've restored TA.
Worst case scenario: You restore TA and lock the bootloader and the device won't turn on, and all you get is a simple vibration and a blinking red light. Open Flashtool and unlock the bootloader again. This will happen if you're not on stock kernel (i.e you have recovery), so be sure to be on stock ROM w/ stock kernel.
Hello,
Since I can't find the FTF file for my region is it possible that I flash the lastest firmware directly from official softwares like PC companion or Sony Update Service on my device that still have the bootloader locked with recoveries? or is the risk to high and I should just unlock bootloader and flash the update via flashtool?

You shouldn't have to unlock the bootloader to flash a FTF, just grab a generic version for your model and flash away (by default flashtool will wipe data so back it up)
