Is your wifi on all the time ? It can be seen in default battery stats. If so, just go to settings into 'wifi sleep policy' and turn it off.

Or if not rooted juice defender.
Careful with green power. It stopped me from receiving picture messages when I tried it.

If you actually reach a point that you need Juice defender to get an overnight battery life then you should consider doing a factory reset and install your apps 1 by 1 every other day or so as it points to be a user error.

EVERYONE always says that, but they never do!
Been 2 months now, nothing to report?
was it worth bumping a 2 month old thread for that?
if you need help with your battery as well there are plenty of other, more recent battery threads to look through.
I have a strange problem in my Galasy S3
After last update XXLF2 (4.0.4) no root, and made a factory default and format.
However, I noticed that when I go to Battery usage ( Setting---Battery) , I can't find any application in the list, not even with 1%. The only things showing are (Cell Standby / Screen / Android System / Voice Calls / Device Idle / Android OS)
I down't know how?!!! I'm using Whatsapp always and twitter and Chrome, but nothing appears.
I had tried the code of *#*#4664#*#* ( or something like that) and showed me that Whatsapp using the battery.!!!
So what is the problem of mine now?
Any help.
Thanks

Chill dude. It doesn't show in mine also. I think it's different algorithm to segregate task. For example if An app is using GPS , and GPS is eating up your battery..the stock might put that under GPS while badass might put it under apps. I'm not sure though.

Try Xposed framework, search it around XDA
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Unless its contacts / phone. Not even Xposed works with that well.
i read on xda some guide, these saying to add some strings in build.prop..i tried but nothing..
with framework like jkay and xposed i can lock app in memory,my aim is to find a way for locking app with the original framework. Is it possible guys ? thanks
I'm curious: why?
in this way i can put sms app in whitelist, so android memory killer never kills sms app=no lags because it remains in memory

how does xposed slow down the phone? it doesn't for me
Okay guys, so after using a lot of tweaks for the rom I'm at a point where my performance and battery life is pretty good. So here's the one one app which always saves battery life like a pro:
SetCPU - it's a life savor, try setting up some profiles in it for the different battery states and lock screen etc. By setting normal CPU on lock screen to 300 it got so much better battery life.
To find the app just search "SetCPU" in play store, it does require root acces.
Sent from my LG-D620 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Hmm, I am pretty sure that SetCPU needs a custom kernel with change-able clock speeds.

To overclock? Yes. To manage CPU profiles according to battery level, lock screen and so on. Only root is needed. Its only the frequency it changes

sorry for offtopic, before i factory reset i used rom toolbox pro for cpu profiles. i also found sd booster - it works for internal memory and external micro sd card.
i see there is standalone app for that also -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mehrmann.sdbooster&hl=pl

i don't know. imho it does not because it's about caching files, it's something like creating ram from int/ext memory and someone said:
Yeah it will degrade the life of the sdcard, which is why I advise users to perform due diligence in the Disclaimer/Warning.
But from the research I did it seems that the degradation is negligible enough that something else in the device will break before the sdcard. Or even more likely the user will replace their device due to pace of technology before the degradation is really noticed.

creating 256mb swap partition is more than actually making 4mb cache so i think it is barely impossible to damage the storage even because we download many apps or games so the storage is filling with data too
it is only my opinion

care to tell more about the app ? It's your app?
I wont install app from random people
Although it works , it's A Hungry Battery Eater ....
It would be better to use kernel rather than some app , the app would Make the Screen Active all the time hence lowering the Backup of your battery
