[SOLVED][Q] xmp stock ics boot animation mod - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi,
Is there any mod, which has the stock android 4 boot animation (like this)
I found this Thread, but he stopped developing and I love the stock boot animation. Is there one I can flash with cwm?
Thx
Michael

You only need root access and some file manager to change your boot animation. CWM is not necessary.
Use file manager that can mount system partition (probably need to check 'allow mounting system partition' in the settings) and replace /system/media/bootanimation.zip with your own custom animation (of course you should rename/backup your old/original bootanimation file just in case). Afterwards set permission of bootanimation.zip file to rw/r/r.
Ask creator of that thread to send you bootanimation.zip file, and you're set to go. Also there are tools for that, so if you want to, you can create an animation yourself.
I changed my boot animation few days ago, using this thread. Hope it helps you.

Thanks a lot a few minutes before I had found the windows boot animation too.
Here's a very nice site for boot animations. I'll try some

[Q] Restore original boot animation?

Hello all, quick question. I rooted my LG Optimus T using z4root and Shorty after I downloaded "Root Tools" from the market. Really the only thing I used it for was to change my boot animations, I tried a few of them. Through the program it backed up my original animation in a zip file on my SD card. The program has an option to restore the original animation but it just won't allow me. Since I've done a full back up with Titanium Pro and a Band back up after installing a custom recovery. Is there another way to restore my boot animation from my SD card using Terminal Emulator or a copy paste?
You say you have the original boot animation then it's possible
Make sure the file is bootanimation.zip.
Things you need
1)Phone is Rooted
2)Root Explorer(Market)
3)Boot Animation (Original On Your SdCard)
Open your root explorer and find system. Then open that folder and choose media. That is where you should place your bootanimation.zip
Thanks, turns out I do not have the original boot animation that came with the phone. I must of missed the button when installing the new animation. I tried looking for one to download but did not have luck. Not that big of a deal, though.

[Q] Help - Stuck with ICS bootanimation

Hi All,
I had flashed the bootanimation from the Nexus Prime on my X10i and it was working fine. But now I am not able to change the bootanimation by any means and am stuck with the Nexus boot animation.
I have tried flashing the stock bootanimation.zip through xrecovery, as well as tried replacing the file manually, but once i reboot, the phone reverts to the old boot animation.
How can i chnage by boot animation now???

Wrong section, Post your questions in Q & A section
Anyways go to /data/local & delete bootanimation.zip if there's any, then go to /system/media & delete bootanimation.zip if there's any, Then flash the new boot animation that you want
Did I mention wrong section?
Use root explorer or any file manager which can access root files, manually delete the bootanimation from systems/media and replace it with your file.

Ok, so there this copy of the old bootanimation.zip in /data/local - deleting that copy did the trick for me. Thanks!

In many rom's bootanimation is present in the form of a ZIP Archive file! its bootanimation.zip in the media folder of system partition.. Just delete that.. Or if you only want to disable the bootanimation
Put this is build.prop in the /system partition:
Code:
debug.sf.nobootanimation = 1
This may not work with every device.. But trying isn't that bad

Samsung QMG Animation Boot - Post here as many as possible.

Galaxy Grand Prime Boot animations
As you know, samsung touchwiz new ROMs have a .qmg file format for their boot animations. This is a small tutorial on how to change your boot animations
I am not responsible for anything that happens to your device. Make a nandroid backup just to be sure. I am just showing what you need to do.
You need to have a:
Rooted device
Aproximate knowledge
(Optional) Custom Recovery.
Well,okay.
This is what you'll need to do:
Download the boot animation in a zip form wich has the qmg files. Be aware that our phone has a 960x540 resolution.
(Optional) Make a nandroid backup if you don't have one.
Flash the zip file.
Now,wait probably 5-6 seconds on the"Samsung GGP Powered by Android " screen, the system searches for the animation and "cooks" it.
Optional,if no Custom Recovery is installed
Download the zip format file with qmg files. (probably you'll like to have ZArchiver,Es File manager or ay other file manager that you like)
Extract the files and replace them in the root/system/media. You'll see here your original qmg files, rename them .bak (eg. shutdown.qmg.bak) and change the permissions to rw-r-r.
Reboot and hope for the best.
USE THIS THREAD TO POST NEW BOOT ANIMATIONS.You can freely post here you bootanimations if those are yours,if not POST THE AUTHOR'S LINK here.
!!! do not use mediafire for your/public bootanimations since it corrupts files and that's the last thing we want.

[How to] Restore Stock Boot Animation

Hi,
I own a Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A500G) running on Lollipop 5.0.2. I have recently rooted my device and have installed a Root Explorer. My aim was to change my boot animation. At first, I thought that I would replace the bootanimation.zip in system/media, but then, I couldn't find any zip file in there.
I had many files, but the only three which seemed to be related to boot animation were these :
bootsamsung.qmg
bootsamsungloop.qmg
bootsamsungmini.qmg
I am sure that I can also do it by flashing the animation in recovery mode. But, I also like my default Samsung animation. If I had found the original bootanimation.zip, I would make a backup and would be able to restore the original animation whenever I wanted. But, with no original bootanimation.zip, how would I do that?
Thanks..

Oh! I understood that. Newer Samsung devices like this don't support the bootanimation.zip. It uses the .qmg format. At least other people who have this query will be helped...
