this is a copy of my thread from the one x Q/A section.. i wanted to ask this here too, to have more and more fair answers..
i am just corious, my girl friend is about to choose one of them and i wonder if our issues will be similar if she chooses the SGS3.
i have played with them both but i could not have an opportunity to run the same tests to have an equal comparison.
we have the heat vision view of the one X and the actual numbers on the internet but nothing yet about the SGS3.. so maybe someone who has both of them can run the same application or create a test enviroment to comapre them eqaully and tell if the HTC one X is the only one which suffers from the heating problem..

Do you think anyone would be able to get this tab on the Touch Pro? Would love to have an application like this on the Fuze (once I can get one). Of course it might be difficult given the difference in screen resolution (800x480 vs. 640x480).
And in case anyone cares, the full Touch HD manual is available here.
Wow I'm really hoping this shows up in a custom ROM or a cab or something for the pro.

The Touch HD is almost identical size to the 3G iPhone so perhaps they may produce one for us too.
Don't bother putting a xenon on one of the worst camera phones aka iPhone.

Don't know if anyone saw the article on technobuffalo but there are photo's of a sales guide provided to HTC Reps to persuade potential customers into buying the HOX over the SGSIII. It provides points and examples to customers why our HOX's are better than the Galaxy

it looks like the homescreen's solely purpose is to draw beautiful icons since smartphones entered the massmarket.
Does anyone remember the Today Screen from the old Windows Mobile devices?

Every single piece of information in one place, without the need to click/enter/open anything. You were even able to read the last message/email directly from this screen.
I tried hard to achieve a screen like this using widgets, but these got title bars and spaces everywhere. In 2011 there was a project called SlideScreen which seems to have been pretty close to what i am thinking about, but it got abandoned.
Help me guys, how do i get something like this on android?

First of all, this is my first post, so hello all and good to meet you
I've been browsing this community for a while, and in my travels I come across these two numbers: either U5 or U6. I've searched my phone settings far and wide but I have no clue where it is or how to find it. Doing a search here or on Google hasn't come up with any results yet either.
Most people who talk about these numbers seem to just know, and it's making me feel mighty silly (which I most likely am)

First of all,
Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Information
Then look for Baseband Version and you will see a number after U or after S.
I have attached a picture showing the same.
