Hello
Are any one of you having a wi fi disconnect problem? I have stock Rom not rooted. My s3 disconnects but rejoins a second later. Any ideas how to fix it?

Seems to be an issue with the WPA2 encryption of your router. Had the same problem before with my One X, but not with my Galaxy Nexus. Works well with WPE encryption, but since there's a security issue with that, I'm working with MAC-Filters and had not a single disconnect since then.
Maybe this helps...

Hi
I have recently been getting an error saying my sim is not inserted or i get no signal at all. I was thinking if i reflash my firmware with rsd (651.167.26 en.EU) could that solve my problem.
Thanks

Thanks for that. i noticed that there are quite a few eu firmwares if i flash different one would that void my warranty and is one particularly better than the one i have, like the radio for example could it be more reliable.

The warranty is "gone" as soon as you change something on your phone by yourself. BUT no one would know it, when you flash your original Firmware back before you send it to support or something like that.
We got some guys here in Germany with the same Problem. Did you get an original Micro Sim?
Some of them cut their regular sim to an Micro Sim.

Its an original micro sim its vodafone if that helps. But i think it is the firmware, as i read somewhere on here that the radio is not that great on this firmware. Do you know of a more reliable one.

That's the 651.167.19.en.EU
It got the Baseband 91 (your Rom got 93)
After you flashed this, you will get an Update to. 21 over Motocast on PC.

Thanks again. i will report back when done.

I had similar problem last 2 weeks. I am using 4 years old SIM card. What I did was rub the SIM's contacts with rubber eraser. And the problem had been 'erased'

Has anyone else experienced sporadic drops of the mobile network antenna?
No apps running or anything, i try and make a call, and no network. A restart fixes it.
Just wondering...

Sounds like a modem issue. Did you have issues on another rom, or just this one?

Just this one. Downloaded a new nightly, testing... Will report if it happens again.

Ok, this is happening again. Does Anyone have a solid tested modem for Cyanogenmod 9? I'm currently on LPQ.
This is getting irritating, because this no network thing happens every time people need to contact me the most.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
O have tested everything. Different modems, different nightly builds, still problems with network connection.
Does anyone else have any other ideas?

Send form Galaxy S2. But I don't have it :-\
I purchased a galaxy s3 I9305 today. I have rooted it and installed supernexus. It all seems to be going well but now when I go into the network settings and choose LTE/WCDMA/GSM, as soon as I exit it reverts back to WCDMA preferred. I am in LTE reception. The only thing I can think of is my sim card. My sim card is almost 7 years old, I had to cut it down to fit the s3. I have read varying things regarding 4g sim cards. Could this be the reason?

You should be on the I9305 thread, not the international version one

Yeah, you have to get a contract with a provider which supports LTE...
!!!!THE CONTRACT MUST BE SUPPORT LTE TO GET LTE!!!!
Without this you cant get LTE....

I recently updated my Nexus 6 with Android M. Now I am facing 2 major issues, which are affecting my official life very badly.
1. Android L used to lookup contacts from our Corporate Exchange GAL. I didn't have to store contacts locally. Android M is not doing this and it's really painful now.
2. My company is using WPA2 Enterprise WiFi, which I used to add using 802.1x EAP in Android L. It worked fine. Now, Android M just won't connect to this network anymore, though it let's me add this network. It keeps saying 'Connecting...'
Anyone got any idea? If these are bugs, I would rather go back to Android L 5.1.1
Thanks you [emoji4]

Yes, GAL is a bug, already reported. You can use Nine from Google play store as a workaround. I think it has something to do with new permissions model, as I checked the bug report.
I am also using company wifi with PEAP authentication, it works ok.

rapmancz,
Can you point me to this bug report so I can track this bug and see updates.
I figured it was permissions related.
KG
I can't post links, so google - android issue 189195

Hi rapmancz,
I did reformat my device, but the issue with WiFi connection persist. How is WiFi AP configured at your end since you're able to connect? I'm trying to connect an AP configured with WPA2 Enterprise, which worked fine on Android 5.1.1

It is an issue with the RADIUS backend. See: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=188867#c29
Thanks nick.
It seems both issues are going to stay for a while. Neither we know when Google will release update nor our corporate IT would be willing to fix it anytime soon.
I'll go back to 5.1.1 for the time being.

Hi,
No problem!
There's nothing for Google to fix on the 802.1X/EAP front, certainly nothing that they should change.
Cheers,
Nick
Well, I believe Google should have properly informed of this well before and let customers know the impact.
But by saying Google to fix, I meant GAL issue. It really is a bug.

This is definitely a bug, at least Google is aware of it and have assigned an internal tracking number for this bug.
As rapmancz said, google "android issue 189195" and you will see the bug tracker.
Can I use an att sim in a Verizon model? Will I at least get HSDPA? And everything work if I set the APN settings? Is there a chance to get LTE?
