No.
Older versions (pre-ICS) had 512MB ram with 1 GHz for regular models and 1.2GHz for Turbo models.

My 101. G9 Turbo have 1.5Ghz and 1GB Ram

New Tablet PC - Android Support?

Hey
Im thinking about buying a cheap tablet, "chinaproduct"... http://www.efox-shop.com/ is e.g. a shop that sells good tablets, like the Allwinner Tablet:
http://www.efox-shop.com/allwinner-...splay-und-android-4-0-system-ultrann-p-260998
- Cortex A8 Chipsatz 1,5GHz + Mali 400 GPU
- 512 Mb Ram
- 4GB SSD
- 1024 x 600 kapazitive Screen
- 3G internal (? not sure about this. but dont need it.. )
AND: ULTRA LOW PRICE!!!
Whats wrong with it? The most important question:
Is there Android support for this tablet? Looks very interesting! Or du you have cheap alternatives?!
Best regards

[Q] Archos G9 Ram Problem

Recently i have bought a new archos G9 16GB tablet from a shop,
its come with Ice 4.0.4 OS and when i see system information its 1.5 GHz speed and Ram 512 MB
in archos is there is any way to increase RAM to 1GB
i already rooted my archos tablet with your petru Ice_Blue custom rom, but still my Ram is 512 mb, please help me to increase my ram
Thanks
some archos gen9 are with 512 mo...
it is old model
Install "Android System Info" from GooglePlay and check System/Memory/Total Ram in this App. I see 893mb there. If you only have around 500 there you got the old model

There's no easy way to do it.
RAM is mounted as PoP on top of the CPU.
To change it you need good soldering skills and very lucky hands
The trouble is you that might easily damage your hardware during soldering process and you'll have to find a supplier for a new one with higher capacity.
These RAMs are mostly OEM supplied chips.

Need a 9.7" tablet

Hi guys, I wanted a 9.7" tablet but not sure what to go for so would appreciate your help. This would be my first ever tablet!
I want something to read books on and play game/surf web/watch youtube etc, budget is $220 USD. I've done some research and have narrowed it down too (prices I got online added next to each tablet):
Ampe A90 $210
(has 1.2Ghz A10 CPU; 1GB DDR3 Ram and 16GB internal storage, plus 7000mAh battery)
ONDA VI40 $220
(has 1.5Ghz A10 CPU; 1GB DDR3 Ram and 16GB internal storage, plus 5000mAh battery)
ICOO D90w $218
(has 1.2Ghz A10 CPU; 1GB DDR3 Ram and 16GB internal storage, plus 5000mAh battery)
Cube u9gt2 $209
(has 1.2Ghz Rockchip CPU; 1GB DDR3 Ram and 8GB internal storage, plus 8000mAh battery)
Ployer Momo11 $200
(has 1.5Ghz A10 CPU; 1GB DDR3 Ram and 16GB internal storage, plus 7800mAh battery)
Given that there prices are so close which would you go for
If you are looking for something with dev support, meaning custom ROMs, you can get an HP Touchpad for this price if you look around online. It has a 1.2ghz Dual Core Snapdragon S3, 1GB of RAM and around a 6000mAh battery.
surely the Chinese tablets would have dev support and are better specs wise?
The Ampe A90 seems better though as it has extra 8GB internal storage but this has a Rock CPU compared to an A10. Not sure if there is a difference as the speeds seem the same.
Anyone else?
Im thinking its either the Onda Vi40 Elite, Cube U9GT2 or the Ampe.
Leaning towards the Onda.
Ended up getting the vi40 for £153 from the UK. Looking forward to it.
Not on your list, but I highly recommend cchecking out the Advent Vega.

[Q] Archos 80 Turbo vs Archos 80 1ghz

Is there any noticeable performance difference between these two versions?
yes 1.5 ghz is much smoother, apps run better, most have 1gb RAM. However, it still has problems. If you are set on an archos, go for the 1.5 turbo, and make sure it has 1gb ram (mine said it on the box)

What kind of problems? I'v found one with 1GB RAM, 16gb but with 1ghz core. Do you think that would be OK? Should i expect and little bit ocing?

you can oc 1ghz to 1.2, which helps a little. I would highly recommend 1.5 ghz tho if you can get one.
For the problems, just the standard bugs, archos firmware is still buggy, however 4.0.7 works good for most.
