CPU:MTK 6577 1GHz Cortex A9 Dual Core + SGX531 GPU
ROM:4GB
RAM:1GB
Screen: 5.3 Inch
The phone works fine,but the app store pre-installed in in chinese...so I installed googlplay, it installed fine, but when I click on it It does not open. Although I can install many of the application via 'apk installer' but its really pain to find to apps on 4shared and some local apps are only available on GooglePlay.
I emailed, antelife, and no help or reply from them. emailed THL W6, they replied "We only deal with china customers" So basically there is no support for this phone. and I come across xda developer, although there are many other models of chinese phones here are talked about, but I could not find THL W6 model.
I am afraid to brick it incase I installed wrong image or rooted it incorrectly. I have rooted/jailbroken android, iphones, ipads in the past, but this time I m bit worried this time.
I found another website 4pda.ru/forum/ index.php? showtopic= 400088 and found to be helpful to some extent, but the image and contents are in russian, so not much of help either.
Can any one please help me to root and run GooglePlay store or guide me to right direction.

I am not sure, did you root your phone already or not yet. but its certain you have to root it and install CWM ROM and then move gapps zip to memory of your phone, restart phone in recovery mode and install from SD card "yes" it will install google play and also will fix Location services and will remove other not needed files from phone(only if you want to)
I had made a detailed guide at gurufoxy.blogspot.ie and also a small video just giving some overview, that what is involved etc.

I think it depends from who you buy the phone, some chinese sellers sell the phone rooted and googstore apks pre installed, some even asks extra charges to do rooting etc for you and some even dnt bother doing anything, they only send you the phone as it is(as happened in my case and other previous poster).
I found out after I got the phone that GooglePlay store does not work in China and they have different Appmarket and search such as Biadu over there. So people should make sure this thing with the chinese seller before they placed the order or better asked for rooted and googlePlay store installed to escape all this hassle.:silly:
Can it be that your phone only supports 3 languages,english and simplified/ traditional chinese ?
Then we knew the difference why my app store works, have an multilingual version.

The phone was not rooted, but after searching MTK Droid Root & Tools helped.
That may the cause of googlePlay crash.
On my phone it shows different version ROM than yours, and it does not shows many languages and choices either..
Well, the phone is in great form, its still fast while running so many different apps in the background, but you can imagine it drains the battery fast, but if I turn off bunch of apps, battery life gets better.

No, just rooted and added clockwork recovery to mine. The standard rom is decent once you've removed the chinese stuff from the phone.

To my understanding, the 4 gig ROM has been divided into several areas, such as system files area, cache area, Internal storage area, phone storage area. When you install applications, it will be stored either in the Internal storage or phone storage area. The 2 gig area you mentioned is the phone storage. You can check the spaces left on your phone through "Setting-> Device-> Storage".
For the gps issue, I think this may help. I have thL w6 with 22.10 stock rom.
My problem is regional restrictions in google play.
Cant download very important app for me.
Cracked market from Chelpus 3.10.10 helps with paid apps, but i still cant install some apps because of region.
Lucky patcher with its multi dpi patches doesnt help either.
Did anyone had the same problem?

I have got Samsung Galaxy S Duos ( GT- S7562 ) Android Version - 4.0.4, Kernel Version - 3.0.8 - 1102401
Purchased on 11-1-2013, from INDIA, so first i installed many app on mobile internal storage, than i thought it might slow down my phone, than i went on searching for moving app to SD, i came around rooting the phone, i rooted it, YELLOW TRIANGLE came around, i don't know how to remove it, that i unrooted the phone, went on updating the firmware, it did not work, it says " fail to verify whole file signature " " Signature verification failed ".
My questions are very simple
1) How to remove YELLOW TRIANGLE, Does it affect my phone in any ways ?
2) I am not able to update my firmware to JELLY BEAN now as it could have had if i had not done any rooting ! so what should i do now ?
3) How to move app to sd ? or is it possible, if i update my firmware to JELLY BEAN, i would not need to worry about finding external help for moving app to sd, by that i mean, do JELLY BEAN gives users inbuilt privilege for moving app to sd ?

My brother has an S Duos as well. It is a great device except for its inability to move apps to SD natively. You can find the method to remove the yellow triangle here in the forums or even in Google. It's called Triangle Away. You should probably wait for another 4 months to receive official jelly bean from Samsung. Hope this helps! Hit thanks of it did!

How To Remove Yellow Triangle
Hello people,
First of all i have resolved my own question, which i posted before, which was, removing the yellow triangle !
but i did not found any solution through post ...
but eventually i found the answer
it was very simple, you just need to put "stock recovery.tar instead of recovery.tar, in odin pda slot" so it would completely remove the rooted firmware and takes you back to original firmware & yellow triangle disappears ... yahoo ...
hope this would help people like myself ... who are very much new to all this

I would like to know if you can remove or delete the binary count ... in my case it shows 5 ! i actually rooted my phone for 5 times and also unrooted it, now i have this situation, so is it possible without USB JIG ?

Dont root your phone if have full warranty .you will loose your warranty if you root .if updates needed you can go through kies software .samsung itself pop up you for unpdate needed to you or not.

No info will upgrade rom GT S7562. You are trying to find on goolge
Can someone tell me that how to install MC4 on my galaxy s duos . It's internal memory is 1.58gb and the game is approximately 2gb.my device is rooted.

You can remove the Triangle by installing chainfire's Triangle Away.

Hi guys,
I have a samsung S2 with Android 2.3.3 - I9100DDKE4
The problem is due to some reason the USB does not work and the ota update says no update available. I want to upgrade to newer versions of Android. However without the USB Connection i cannot.
Can some one please suggest how i can upgrade may be through the SD Card. Is it possible.. Also can you please suggest the steps.

Since you just want an upgrade of stock ROM.. You can just drop by the nearest service centre and request for one. Simple.

Thanks for your reply taking it to samsung means sending the phone away for 15 days ... cant do that ... is there an option where in i can upgrade through sd card ??

I dont think the India version got an update to anything more then 2.3.3

I am sure they have... may be not the latest one but definately higher than 2.3.3
Just one question... there are a number of posts suggesting to root the device through sd card and then flash rom by sd card with new versions llike the andriod 4.2 supernexus and extreme... Wud some one please suggest if that option can be considered??

I am using Karbonn A10 handset.And when now when i try to install application from google play Store it is showing an error that Your device doesn't have sufficient space to store.Can anyone please sort out this problem and possible cause of why this error is displaying.I am also an android developer from last 3 months.

settings->apps->select app->move to internal storage!
alternatively if your on a rooted device use linktosd to move apps to internal or external sd!

i recently had my phone stolen so due to financial restrictions ive been forced to go back to my galaxy ace i have finnaly got it rooted i think ive updated superuser via playstore and i dont know what to do next .basicly the only reason ive rooted is to increase the internal memory and possibly clock speed a little .now im not a tech minded person and havent got a clue what im doing so any help would be appreciated

1. Flash TouchWiz-Resurrection ROM (in S5830i development forum) - instructions in main thread. It will revamp your phone, so you will feel it like SAMMY JB.
2. For performance, stay with stock kernel. For features use Rafael.Baugis, ThunderKernel, Cyanus, etc.
3. Configure your phone, to the best state (delete apps, that are useless for you [it's much personal thing], add useful, and move these apps to system.
4. Wipe data/factory reset again.
5. Ready!
It's way, in which I'm always going.

What i did was went to play store and searched "root required". lots of stuff came up that made my phone cool. I would recommend flashing gingerkat rom, it has been really good. my battery life has increased. i used to only get a day out of it, now i am getting more than 24 hours, this is with a little bit of use during the day, this is obviously with the help of cpu tuner. not sure if i helped, if i did please hit thanks.
