hi guys
I'm starting to get a crackle/static in my earpiece. I want to be able to get a replacement speaker shipped to me here in India, but I dont see many options at all for this... as opposed to the Atrix or other phones.
my question is - similar to the Moto Defy which takes k850i earpieces perfectly well, is there an alternative for Photon 4g earpieces ? I actually dont see a single OEM photon earpiece on ebay.
Thanks!!

Hi guys today i decide to buy a hands free for my wing and the problem is the follow..
i went on 2 stores, both of them recommend me to buy the RAZR mini usb hands free witch they say is capable.
however those two shops dont have this handsfree atm so i went to a third one.
the guy on the third store says he dont know if this handsfree is working on my phone but with the recommendations in mind i went and bought it!
now when i plug it in and nothing happens.. may i need a setting? or this handsfree cant work on my phone?
or its a broken one?
thanks in advance!!
??
no one? pleaseee
was a sale DUDE!
Really dissapointed with the cellphone sales man, but just to let u know i had two razr before w/brand new accs and the hands free never work w/my WING. I did use the the one i had on my pass MDA and it worked, ofcourse is the same brand. I think u should rturn it but keep in mind bluetooths for calls or even for music.
Good luck w/the sales man
Now I actually dont have one of these, I just use a Motorola HT820 (Headset) and a Motorola HS820 (Stereo Headphones).... But...
What do you mean it isnt working? Does it connect? Does the Wing see your Headset?
Like when you hold in the Power button on the headset until the light on the headset stays a steady blue, then try to find it using the Bluetooth on your phone.
I had a Vibrant 3g and loved it. I recently decided to purchase a Vibrant 4g off the Internet with no warranty. I rooted it and used it for about a week and then I realized when I call someone, the other person can't hear me. Yes I don't use much minutes and more of a texting guy and it took me a week to realize that lol.
- When I use Bluetooth headset, I can make calls fine.
-When I try to make calls with phone of wired headset, the other person can't hear me.
I even tried to record my sound using build in mic and it didn't record anything. I came to the conclusion that the mic doesn't work. Its a brand new phone. What should I do?
Should I call T-Mobile? (I didn't buy the phone from tmobile)
Should I call Samsung for their manufacture warranty?
or is there any way for me to fix it myself?
I would say you would be best off first trying to call T-Mobile or bringing it to the store to see what they can do for you. Otherwise since its new Samsung should hopefully be able to help you. Good luck.
Okay guys, so this is the deal:
I am in Germany for probably another 6-9 months, and then I will return back to America. But my Galaxy S which was the international version broke, so now I am without a (smart)phone.
Now which one of those should I get? But I am also very hesitant to buy anything for that kinda money, I mean I won't have LTE and I will also not be able to use Verizon since it's CDMA, right?
So I would love both phones, but I am unsure if those international versions are as good as the US versions.
Would anyone be able to help me out, pleasE?
Go for the Razr XT910, you can't compare S2 with this piece of technology and quality.
Okay cool, any chance you could elaborate this, please? And also: Does it matter that the RAZR XT910 doesn't support 4G?

Beware of mic & voice call volume problems if you go for SII... Two of my friends got each problem. One Guy's SII always echo while on-call.. One's SII mic volume is too low & need to shout so that the person on other side can properly hear...They come & ask help from me....found some tricks but not really help to solve their problems .... I can only say " go to service center " ....Other than that SII is good phone thoug.... Razr is much better than SII.... I only disappointed about the screen which has some big black sports under LCD.... Only can see them at night or in a dark room while watching YouTube or seeing movies... I am not so care in camera quality... but SII won on camera...

I am fed up with the Nexus One and this chronic power button problem I've sent it in for four times, and no GPS. No more HTC for me.
Looking for a newer phone for T-Mobile that gets 3G or 4G. No hardware keypad, and working GPS. That's all I ask.
I thought the Moto Atrix might be it, but it can't do better than EDGE. The Photon (Sprint) seems to be only WiMAX.
It seems that T-Mo has only LG and Samsung phones, and I am not enamored with either brand.
Recommendations?

I swore to myself I would never buy another samsung phone, but I ended up with a white galaxy s2 since it was the best phone at the time and it has been great so far (if you don't mind not having ICS). Perfect actually.
I have turned the Motorola site upside-down looking for a fairly current phone that would work 3G or better in T-Mo, but no luck.
Don't trust Samsung or LG, although I'm sure they make fine products. I've been very happy with Motorola phones since cellular services started. Wish for the Droid Razr, but Hate Verizon and ATT for cooperating with warrantless wiretapping.
Wow, nothing else?
Trying to determine if the Droid 4, Droid Razr, or Defy would work.
The Defy is a decent phone and really the only Moto on T-Mobile I could recommend, assuming you can find one. They are outdated as far as stock, but the Devs have kept the software up to date and are even working on ICS/CM9. I don't think the Droid models would work on a T-Mo network at all.
Get a HTC amaze and use the screen off and lock app.. then use go locker or something that allows using power AND volume buttons etc for waking.. thanks to the separate video and camera buttons you'll be up to 5 buttons configurable as power.. besides I think they (htc) are the best made phones

I have an HTC sensation, which HTC has made 2 updated versions, the XL and something else but i have the standard one, but its 4g, 4.3" screen, hd 1080p video recording, 8mp camera, and when running the elegancia Rom which is great quality you get ics plus lots of features, call recording, WiFi calling, volume button awake. It's really a great phone, id get the newer version XL, its got a 1.5ghz processor plus more ram, I think a gig over my standard sensation with a 1.2ghz and 756mb ram. Both are great, I'm sure you can get a regular sensation for 300 bucks somewhere on the web.
Also HTC released the HTC One, don't know if they are for t-mobile, but they are the cream of the crop for the HTC line. Gonna be pricey but well worth it.

If you really want to look for some more selection, try researching phones made for the Japanese market.
Many NTT Docomo phones have the needed 1700/2100 frequencies needed for T-Mobile 3G in the United States. I have heard of people running some of their Sharp and Toshiba phones here without issue.
Thanks all.
I have lost all confidence in HTC. GPS has never worked, mic quality is not good, and this chronic power button problem that I have sent it in four times for. Now they charge me. No more. They ditch me -- I ditch them.
I like the MIUI.us rom best, and have the vol keys set to wake. (built-in to the rom) Use Toggles to lock it. This is tolerable for now. Has recording and all the other niceties. I think it's the most advanced rom out there.
I've used Motorola phones since cellular service began, and they only ever failed if I broke them. I trust the Motorola phones and wish they worked with T-Mobile more. I will stay with T-Mobile as they did not cooperate with the government's unConstitutional warrantless wiretapping.
I'll check out the Defy. Maybe I can wait a while to see whether Moto comes out with something better. I wonder whether the Photon would work on T-Mo?
You are judging HTC off of a phone that is years old. There are many options for good phones on T-mobile. The Galaxy S2, the Galaxy Nexus if you want to pay for that, the Nexus S. I just came from the HTC Glacier which was amazing all the way around. Great GPS, no hardware issues whatsoever and a huge dev community. The Sensation is a great phone, better than the amaze from the research I have done. Almost all newer phones available aren't going to have GPS issues, so go to a store and pick which one feels better in your hands.
I am judging HTC for a phone that I paid $550 for which never could do GPS or compass, and which has a chronic and recurring power button failure that is a known design problem which HTC refuses to repair without ransom.
If a company intentionally refuses to correct their own glaring mistakes, it is dishonorable and they are no longer worthy of trust. Maybe I am just old-fashioned, and you youngsters see GETTING SCREWED BY CORPORATIONS as a natural state of life...
I do not. HTC ditches me, so I ditch HTC, and tell my friends.
A couple years ago I bought a Jaguar XK-8, a $76,000 car. Two years later it turned out that the timing chain tensioners (made of plastic) were failing on all those engines. Well that is a $15,000 repair. Jag refused to stand behind their car, and so many of us who can afford their cars, have turned our backs on them. As Dubya says, Fool Me Once... {splutter, gork} ... eh Ya Can't Fool Me Again.
helllo i have few question i will be happy to get someanswers
1.alot of people here refering like the phone got two versions att and none branded one is that true?i mean isnt it the same phone(or what is the difference between those two)
2.when the phone launched some people said that it comes with beats headphone (and they even uploaded a picture) but in all the review i see around the web every one says its reguler headphones...so...what is true?
3.i kind of did not get the way that tegra 3 is working with his 5th CPU i mean i got HTC Desire right now that used to use CPU method "on demand" and when i got a call some times it was very laggy and slow when i picked up it was hmm like you need to reach from 30km/h to 100km/h in 1 sec with a fiat punto or other brand that cant do that (i am sorry if i offended anyone :X)
4.i see around the forum that are some people talking about WiFi issues and sounds issues are we talking about specific units or ...(do i need to be worried)?
thats all for now thank you for your time and answers
(i am really really sorry for my bad english)

1) the AT&T 64GB version is only available in the US and has LTE (4G) support and is of course branded with AT&T stuff.
The international 64GB version is available unbranded when bought from electronic shops and branded when bought from carrier shops (the o2 version has a o2 branding even when it is sold without a contract and the Vodafone version has a Vodafone branding ect)
2) I think in the U.K. Vodafone sold a special 32GB version tgether with Beats headfones, but who wants/needs them really?
3) don't worry about not having enough power to fuel your demands, the fifth core is running when the phone is idle so as to safe power, and the other cores are activated according to demand tiger in a tank!
4) I never had any hardware faults with either my ONe X nor One X+, apparently there are issues with the AT&T version on BT crackling sound and some reports on having difficulties to connect to specific routers on their home/work networks.
The intl. X+ does not have WiFi issues really as HTC seemes to have learned from hardware faults on the One X.
The One X+ is an amazing piece of technology, enjoy it!

Thank you for your answer! but since you have HOX+ i will intregate you till death =P (kidding)
you said that the 5th core is being used on idle and i think the idle state is stand by mode so that is actually my question if i am in standby mode and than get a call is there any lags at answering or in touch generaly?
and about the headphones what headphones do you use? because the one that come with it are cheap and beside that i want in ear headphones
so if i will buy unbarnded device i should have no worries?
and one last thing i forgot to ask how is the video recording/taking picture quality?
i saw a video on htc one x video recording which shows a huge lag at the video recording like when you move the phone the picture on the screen lags behind the camera(i hope you got what i meant)
Edit:
i found a video that will show what i mean just skip to 1:31 dont listen to him talking =P or do if you want too
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZofWCaptBE&feature=related
he is moving his hand in a very stupid way but it does not matter the fact that you move your hand while recording and it might be very annoying
thank you for your answer

I wouldn't buy from that clove website. £474 is a rip off. There is a trusted seller on ebay who is selling them for £399 with free delivery. You can buy from O2 directly for £429. You can unlock them for about £10 I wouldn't pay much over 400 pound on an HTC phone. They lose value so quickly
