I know how to downgrade and root, but with the new .28 firmware released today I was wondering if I can still downgrade to say .15, root, then do the OTA direct to .28 or will I mess something up? I have a US version, if it matters.
Is .28 releasing today?

Hello,
You can try this method, it doesn't need to downgrade and is known to work on TF300 (.26 & .29) and TF201 (.21).

9.4.2.11 was released last night at around 1:00 am GMT to US Transformer Prime units. That is why we have deodexed system dumps of it in the dev section already.

Saw the tweet. Interesting that they are calling it a graphics update. We still don't know what exactly is in 9.4.2.11

That's why I'm confused they said the other update was gps and this one is graphical so now we just wait and see if they push another update out

Does nobody read the official ASUS threads,
1/19/12 Update - The ICS 9.4.2.11 update being rolled out now addresses the horizontal line and random signal line issues after the initial ICS load. It also addresses poor video playback (especially YouTube), however if you still have the YouTube corruption problem after this update, please uninstall then reinstall Flash from the app market. This patch also addresses the random reboot problem after the ICS update but we still have another patch that is in qualification testing at NVIDIA to fully solve these problems.
taken from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1449992
and the other 2 official threads also.
Yes it was a graphical update, however, it also contains a new GPS driver.
OK mods close this thread please unnecessary thread

Which version are you running? I have no probs on 9.4.2.11
An uninstall and re download of all the tables seemed to correct it.
Thanks for all the input.

How can I upgrade to .15 with an unlocked bootloader?
I'm afraid to do so because I've seen some people in this forum that bricked their TFP after upgrading with an unlocked bootloader.
I'm on .14 at the moment with root access and CWM recovery installed.
I'm in the same situation, and looking for a solution as well. Is Asus going to release .15, so we can manually apply the update?

Well I always can lock my bootloader right?
Nope, once unlocked, you're unlocked for good. Maybe one day someone might cone up with a way to relock the bootloader but like it was when I had my Atrix, always unlocked once you took that leap.

There is a stock ROM for.15 that just got posted to the dev section.

Nope. ASUS has your serial number on their server as unlocked. There is no going back now, no matter what ever happens, you will receive no updates or support from Asus.

I was given the message that there is an update available.....not sure if it's the one we are waiting for or something else. I'm on travel, and don't want to chance an "early" update....so I"ll wait.
there is none yet. or at least here in u.s. just checked twice. they said north America releases on Friday, the 30th.
I'm on a custom rom so i don't get the updates but i am excited for this as developers will bake it in
Hmmmm....you're right....no firmware update.....The update I was referring to was shown on the Google Play site....identified as "ASUS Transformer Prime Updates"
Must be some google thing
what updates did you get? i checked my Google play on my prime, but didn't see any updates
I suspect you have the Drippler Transformer Prime app installed from the market. I believe there was a recent update to the program and if I recall of did say something like "transformer prime update available".
Just a theory...

Excelent news!!
https://www.facebook.com/asussverige
anyone read Swedish? what are the the comments saying? yay or nay?
This is GOOD NEWS!!
As for now no one was able to download the update yet
Hmm... I wonder if OTA rootkeeper and EZ Overclock will work after the 4.1 update? Me thinks I'll be holding off until there more is learned.
Isn't Sweden included in the WW firmware releases? If so then there will now be WW, US, TW and JP firmware releases (Germany brought in to the last WW upgrade) and I would think that as posted elsewhere the upgrade is being packaged and Asus Sweden wanted something to put on facebook.
If Sweden were first with a WW release then isn't it just a case of navigating support.asus.com to get the download?

The last comment says:
When can we expect to see it? My TF201 find nothing. Perhaps it will be rolled out in batches or is it, as usual, the U.S. time as valid as everything will start at 19:00 tonight?

Probably because we all have been talking about it in a different thread since this morning. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1777396&page=19
Typical. I RMA my prime the same day that 4.1 starts rolling out.

Then again if you are already on CM10, then why not just stay there?
I've been trying to update sporadically for an hour now, here in sweden, and nothing.
Guess they anounced it a bit early? I sure hope it'll become available during the day Can't wait! CM10 did wonders to my Xperia Arc, so I can only imagine how powerful the prime must feel!
It came to my mind that does the Browser2Ram affect the installation of OTA update? I don't have any other modified system files in my Prime. Root will be of course gone too when updated.
Asus Finland stated in facebook that JB is rolling out in end of the week.
