Market Force Closing - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,
Just swapped my One X for a Samsung Galaxy SIII today. Unfortunately after setting up all my accounts I'm having a serious problem with the Play Store. Whenever I try and install an application through http://www.google.com/play the Store on my phone force closes. I have cleared the cache and data from application settings, no fix.. Please help guys!

Had this issue after flashing the auto-brightness mod framework-res.apk from DocRambone's MOD thread (and subsequently put my stock LEF phone in a boot loop, so DON'T FLASH HIS MOD if you're on a stock/ODEX'd ROM!). All you do is go into Settings -> Applications -> All -> Google Play Store -> Uninstall Updates.
Should work afterwards, good luck!

Don't worry ..Play Store is completely supported on our device..
What you can do:
Clear cache and data from Google Play app in Application Manager
Clear Cache and data from Google Framework Services in Application Manager
Remove and Re add your account
If you are rooted and have CWM recovery..boot into recovery and fix permissions
I had the same issue with a HK ROM I9300 I purchased in China. What finally fixed the issue for me was using Titanium Backup Pro to convert Play to a system appointment. After doing that I have had no issues.

Google Play Issue

Hey guys, I recently installed the inverted Google play 3.9.16 apk on my phone. Now, every time I open it, I get a message saying seerver error? Any ideas?
Had that a few weeks back.
Check in your settings and see if your Google account syncing settings are ok. Try removing Google accounts and re-adding them.
I would suggest reflashing gapps or in the worst case reflash ROM.
I honestly can't remember how I resolved this error. If I do, I'll post here.

Go to settings > apps > all and select Google Play Store then clear data. Works most of the time for this kind of problems.

Phone details:

Android version: 4.1.2
Android ROM:ParanoidAndroid 2.x+ [JB]
Kernel version: Dorimanx Kernel
Recovery: CWMR Touch v6.0.1.2
Go to settings-applications and clear data from play store.
Then go to Google Play Services also in Settings-applications and wipe data and wipe cach.
It should fix the issue

Go to your app settings page (Settings > Apps > Manage Applications) and open Media Storage. select "clear data".
Then boot into CWM and under Advanced, choose fix permissions.
Reboot
In Settings > Apps > Manage Applications, open Google Services Framework. Clear data.

It was a pleasure to help you.
I came to this solution trying all what I found on dozens of forums. Most of them don't work. Sadly I don't remember where I found this one, to give the proper credits.
Anyway, you can press my thank button to increase my thank meter, LOL

My answer was based on my experience on a Samsung Galaxy S i9000 , with CWM 6.0.2.x (IIRC)
There was a "fix permissions" option in the advanced menu, I think you should search on Google "cwm +recovery +YourModel"
I'm sorry I can't be of more help.
Now I have a Nexus 5 with the TWRP 2.7.0.0 recovery
com.android.phone has stopped - My Solution
I've had this while showing my friend my new ROM & Recovery install.
Philz Touch had just turned itself into standard 6.0.4.5 so I re-zipped it ... WRONG!!!
First I got "Unfortunately .... com.android.phone" message, so I cleared the caches, factory reset (forgot to format system cache - but hey!) THEN reflashed the ROM (Paranoid Android 4.4.3 RC1) and the GApps (PA-Mini)
THEN I started getting "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped".
Hmmm ... So I started thinking "Media huh?"
Went into recovery and mounted the SDCard0 and SDCard1.
Aaannd ... she's working again.
Of course, now I'm waiting while all my Apps reload (Good old Google Sync :good: ), then Contacts etc.
But at least I got the damn thing back to working. :fingers-crossed:
Moral of the story "Don't mess with it if it ain't broke!"

Someone who knows what they're doing will probably post a simpler method ...

have you already tried to uninstall it?
it obviously won't uninstall the app, just the updates, and then you can reinstall them again. it's like resetting it

yes, i uninstall the app just the updates and all the aplication and install an older version, the newest version but nothing.
bump, help please.
phew, strange.
are you rooted? any modifications or is your phone in its original condition?
try to delete and reinstall google play services or at least clear cache.
if you dont mind: factory reset always helps
//edit: also, what are those apps running in background (the icons in task bar)
maybe one of them interferes with google play.
[just for experimental purpose: have you tried a different keyboard? ]
Is background data activated for the System Apps in the networked Apps menu?
On MM I had to enable the right: wright to SD-card for such bigger files. From the settings/apps menu. It was a separate option, so when I gave the trusted app tick, it was not enough.

Go back and see your video and pause where a Waring comes- it says download through WiFi only. Only two things can be there-
1. GO to phone manager > traffic manager >networked apps > system apps and search for download manager and google play store and see if both are selected for mobile data. If already selected then go to step two.
2. Deselect the WiFi option when appears during download then select continue. I hope nothing else would be required.
Do not forget to thank if it worked and you can also welcome to donate
