Hi, I'm from Venezuela and this is a traduction made by Google's translator... I have a problem with my X10 mini pro (u20a), while putting on a rom I tried and did everything they asked: restore with PC companion, root and install XRecovery, but when I started it I came back because I needed a different type of baseband and compilation number and could not find how to change them. I decided to leave it, uninstalled everything that had been installed to the ROM (zroot, superuser and the servant to see the phone files), un-root and when I wanted to restore with PC companion a notification tells me "There is no software available for phone. Please try again later." If anyone knows how to fix this problem or have already solved this link (there are more than 2000 posts to locate one by one) would really appreciate it I HOPE FOR YOUR HELP, THANK YOU!

No, when I connect my phone with PC Companion, click on support zone, software update, it shows me that I have the latest version of the software then I click on repair, I do everything: disconnect the phone, turn off and turn on pressing back key, but when I do all these steps, PC Companion gives me this message: "There is no software available for phone. Try to flash this ROM with flashtool, it is based on stock sony-ericsson firmware.
Installing it will give you the right baseband to flash other ROMS, and will probably enable you to do a repair in PC Companion in the future too.
I will do it, but I don't know how to flash and it's for u20i but my phone is u20a, that doesn't give problems? Thanks a lot!!

I've checked.. the difference between the E20i and E20a is in the UMTS HSPA frequencies.
The E20i supports 900 and 2100
The E20a supports 850, 1900 and 2100
As far as i can see that is the only difference between the two.
I don't think there is much difference software-wise.
If you really use 3G just check if you have any issues there.
If there is an issue, I will try and help you find a u20a stock rom
You already rooted and installed xrecovery, just copy the rom to your sd-card, reboot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, go into advanced, wipe dalvik-cache, wipe battery-stats, press back for main menu and install zip from sd-card, choose custom zip, select the rom and wait for it to finish. you should be fine.
but, all the tutorials I've found I need a different type of baseband, because that I didn't install any rom. My baseband is M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404006 and the baseband who I need is M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
yes, and the rom i pointed you too is based on stock sony-ericsson firmware, with that baseband, that's why i think it will help you.

Hello All,
I bricked my x10, and did a PC companion update repair. I also reformatted the sd card. However, now I cannot root with z4. It is stuck on " running exloit in order to obtain root access, or that it exits and when I try to go back into the program, it says that an unexpected error had occurred and need to force stop. Once its force stopped, I cannot go back into the program. I tried restarting the phone, but the same thing happened. I reformatted my phone and card two more times, but same problem exists. Please help! Thanks!

Try uninstalling it. Then, make sure you download it to the sdcard before you install it using Astro or equivalent. I had a similar problem when I tried to install it straight from dropbox rather than downloading it to the sdcard first and then installing it.
I hope you are not trying to root the latest Generic 2.0.2.A.0.24 FW because that is not rootable at the moment?
how do I know if I have the Generic 2.0.2.A.0.24 FW?? I went to 'about phone" and only see that the firmware version is 2.1 update1. is that the unrootable firmware? I also tried using astro to install it thru sd card but it still doesnt work..... maybe I should just root it with one click and not use z4 anymore?

Yes it is recently released. It is a minor update that fixes some bugs but, there is no official changelog from SE. You can flash back to older FW from here.

Second, go here and follow the instructions in post #1.
Third, go here to install JiT.

hi There
PLEASE HELP ASAP I THINK IV BROKE MY BELOVED X10
Im new to all this Mod stuff and i have no experience at ....... But I LOVE this Theme i found , its amazing!!!!!! so i rooted my phone using super oneclick, i then found RECOVERY, also got the theme [X.Gbread for 2.1 Official ROM 2.0.2.A.0.24 + Battery Circle] [new-v0.6]
Installed everything it all and was great!! everything went smooth, but some things were missing on the theme like the new swipe button, the wallpaper, the new clock etc so...... i then installed a previous version [X.Gbread for 2.1 Custom ROM AOSP], thinking that version had the bits i needed and the later version i installed first was a add-on, and now the phone will not boot up, it gets past the Sony Ericsson but wont boot past the Nexus S Bootanimation, then it restarts itself, and starts all over again, i dont know what to do as i know NOTHING about flashing phones. PLEASE HELP
Phone specs - what i had before
X10i
2.1 Update1
build no. 2.0.A.0.504
Rooted with SuperOneClick
Also busybox
Many Thanks
Leon
************* update i can get the phone to the Xrecovery screen, ive tried reinstalling both of the themes but it gets to the lock screen and when the lock comes off, a box comes up with a triangle exclamation mark on it that says 'Weeks' on it and underneath it says "year" with a button that says "%1$s %2$s" and when you press it nothing happens apart from sometimes the writing year changes to years, after a minute it reboots and does the same thing.
does anybody know how i could sort this out???
Have i 'bricked' the phone?? if so what does that mean and can i sort it?? would i be able to send it in for repair??
or how i could i flash i back to the original SE theme, with out it starting up????
hopefully somebody can save me because at the moment i have not got a phone and i love my x10 sooooo much!!!!!!
i knew i should have just left it alone!!!!!!!!
Thanks Leon
i would recommend you to do
1. a full wipe using the recovery
2. re-install the theme u wanted. (perhaps u should re-download the theme u wanted)
btw, did u install using the option "install custom zip"?
if those above does not helps,
1. re-install the firmware using SEUS or flashtools from Bin4ry
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825201&highlight=flash.
2. root it and install xRecovery and then install the themes u wanted.
You'll have to really flash. The problem here was that you mixed up to FW (.24 & .504) when you installed the first theme... it clearly says for which version it is my friend....
So reflash to any ROM you want but check first the theme you're aplying and also if you have Xrecovery do a backup before any Mod so you don't have to reflash again...
Have fun you're not the first nor the last with this I've been there done that more than once....

seus is sony ericsson update service.you need to first download this from the se product site.Once you install and open this application on your pc,the rest of the work is very easy and explained step by step.go for it.another thing---in future before you flash any custom rom, backup your virgin 2.1 using xrecovery so that you can always go back to this opening condition when you are troubled by the custom rom you have installed.
do press the thanks button if this helps you.
Ok, sathkartha.
I'll try it and remember to do the backup. Was my first time and i forgot to do the backup when i remembered was too late.If it works i'll post the result here and press the thanks button.
Thanks
sathkartha,
so, I've made it and followed the intructions and the message that came up for me was:
"No new software is available for your phone. Your phone already has the latest available software isntalled"
Do you have any idea what I can do from now?
Thanks

Thanks for the print, but it doesn't appear for me.
I'll keep trying. Any result i post here.
look at the screen which shows to me
shuold i put some archive in /system or /system/bin?
I think I see what the problem is here:
miniCM uses a modified build.prop so that neither SEUS nor PC Companion update the firmware at any moment, that's why your SEUS says that it doesn't have nay new software for you.
I'd say that instead of trying to go back to 2.1, rather try to do a clean install of any of the custom ROMs, and please do follow the instructions to the letter, most freezing and rebooting in custom ROMs happen due to not doing a factory reset before installing them.
@Akath19 i understand. I would like to go back to 2.1, make a backup and then install a custom ROM. Because I've tried to install a lot of time the custom ROM and this problem keeps boring me.
Talking about build.pro... there is some solution for it? like change this specific build.prob for another one that makes SEUS works?
ohh
you have to flash with the flashtool
because seus or other software couldn't flash it
sorry
Hello,
I did something very stupid: I installed JIT enabler at my X10i running on rooted 2.3 Gingerbread and now my phone does not boot past the white "Sony Ericsson" logo.
If this is somehow helpful, I have XRecovery installed and I'm able to boot it. However, I haven't created a backup.
Please, help me as fast as possible, because I'm a bit desparate.
Thanks, in advance!
You mustn't use JIT on Android higher than 2.1 -
1. Cause it will make something like you have right now.
2. Android 2.3 has it in standard, so no need to use it pal .
To fix this, just flash some official ROM via FlashTool, or use PcCompanion.
Cheers mate.

Next flash the kernel only, start flash in flashtool, choose flash mode, select the file you made, clear all wipes, exclude everything but the kernel.
You should have only kernel.sin and loader.sin in content list, now flash.
Hopefully with the original kernel your problem will be solved.

I tried to create FTF, but failed. When I tried to repair using PC companion, it showed that Sony update service is not available to the phone and the phone is having some updated softwares. So I couldn't repair the kernel and thus failed to create FTF file.
At last, I found the problem with the phone. The problem was with proximity sensor. While making a call, when the phone is kept close to ear, the phone shows the problem and it restarts and boot loop is occurred. I found the solution for it also.
1) make the call using ear phone.
or
2) make the call with speaker phone.
Then no problem.
Today morning, I checked the phone once more. Now it is working perfectly. I have done nothing other than this.
Thank you very much for immense support and the help. Please help me to create FTF file for my phone. Could you please tell me, other step by step procedure for it as I am a beginner in this area.

Was the phone on nd connected to the PC when you attempted repair, or did you have to choose which phone to repair from a list?
It's weird update is not available.
Is your bootloader locked or unlocked?
Problem solved
1. Start your phone in CWM Recovery
2. Go to Advanced
3. Choose "Wipe dalvik-cache"
4. Now go to "Mounts & Storage"
5. Choose "Wipe /cache"
6. Reboot your phone
if the problems still exists after doing that and you're sure it's not related to the rom, then you need to do this:
1. Start your phone in CWM Recovery
2. Now go to "Mounts & Storage"
3. Choose "Wipe /data"
4. Choose "Wipe /cache"
5. Reboot your phone
