Hi,
I flashed mwakious3Drom® v7.0 as described in the thread by mwakious. The phone booted without any problems. I then downloaded and flashed the latest update, 8.6. All went well until the phone displayed 'Setup Wizard' at the begining and then a message 'Setup wizard has closed'. The phone then got stuck on HTC logo (white screen with HTC logo) and didn't respond to any button press or anything else. I took out the battery and flashed both the ROM as well as the update again making sure that I did 'clean' the system using 'Superwipe' provided in the thread. Phone booted fine and again stuck at the HTC screen.
I then tried v8.5 and the phone again got stuck at the HTC logo after boot.
The phone works fine with v7.00 though.
Thanx.
P.S. Awesome bootanimation 'mwakious'.
Special thanx to ALL the developers here.
Cheers
Phone: HTC EVO 3D
Sounds like its the rom and not the phone just for keepsakes go ahead flash 7 again and do flash image gui the app in the market flash the new 8.5 and then go from theres
Hi, I got the same issue with the same rom and So you flashed the 7.0 complete ROM. Then mwakious asks to boot once and then patch it to 8.X . What has happen is mwakious haven't included proper working "HTC User Seteup" bundles with the 8.X patches, Its only included in the ver7.0.
So your problem has starts when you wipe your "Phone data", or "factory reset" or any User related data. Then on the boot screen phone tries to find the user settings (i.e language, wifi bla bla) when it cannot find the settings it starts the User customization wizar (which is not available in the 8.X updates) So here comes the stupid error. So here is the fix :
1. SuperWipe the phone
2. Install mwakious 7.0 base ROM as usual.
3. Boot once and Run it and go through the customize wizard and set language etc.
4. Then put 8.x patch in to your SD Card and reboot in to recovery.
5. ONLY WIPE APPLICATION CACHE and DELVIK CACHE , Do not use factory reset, or full phone reset (as this will erase your customization data)
6. Flash the zip file using recovery
6. Then reboot phone and you will be prompted in to a dialog box that android is upgrading the softwares.
7. Wait a moment, voila you phone works back again..
Thanks if i helped you out

First of all, I would like to say hello, since I'm new on this forum!
So, to begin with, my problem is the following: I'm trying to install the CyanogenMod on my vodafone 858 smart. I followed the instructions on this forum:
-rooted my phone
-installed ROM Manager + Clockwork recovery
-in ROM Manager I selected Install ROM from SD card -> checked to make a backup, to wipe data and cache and to wipe dalvik cache
-phone rebooted into recovery mode -> could't see anything but the small hourglass
-waited for more then an hour, nothing changed, hourglass was still there
-took out battery, reinserted it, started phone and everything worked properly, but I still have 2.2 version of Android
-I tried to install CyanogenMod again, this time switching off my phone, and rebooting into recovery mode manually
-after rebooting into recovery mode, a message appeared, saying it is unpacking 1/2 (the process bar not moving anything not even after an hour) and below it states that the 'update has failed'
Could anyone please help me with this issue, I'd really like to upgrade my phone, but I can't seem to manage.
ps.: sorry if this has been asked, I couldn't find a similar thread.
Thank you!
HELP! My phone stuck on boot screen (or boot loop) can someone upload their backup of vodafone 858 phone (or system.img) file???
PLZ HELP My phone dont work...
Hi,
I tried to root my phone and install jelly bean 4.1.1 rom but f*cked up.
I used the wrong rom (for Verizon S3) and soft bricked my phone.
Worked 3 hours to get it back to a functional state.
However, since this happened the following problems occur:
Overal performance is a lot less smooth, I installed a stock ROM + CWR.
When booting, it often has problems at the "Samsung" logo, laggs etc...
Worst: It takes about 2 seconds for the lock screen to pop up EVERY time I turn the screen on.
I made a video to clarify what I mean: (can't link because new on forum, search on youtube for "Slow unlock screen Samsung Galaxy S3"
This makes the phone pretty useless imo since it drives me crazy to wait this long for just the screen to pop up.
Any help would be appreciated.
What would be the best course of action?
Install a -as close to stock as possible- ROM and start over again?
Or can I just wipe whatever's on there and flash/install a new ROM?
Thanks in advance, I'm freaking out because I'm afraid I just threw away 500€
Few steps to possible recovery as I have faced the same problem before....
1. download any rom like OMEGA V19 put it in root of the external sd card.
2. boot in CWM
- factory reset
- wipe cache partition
- go to advance
- wipe dalvik cache
- wipe battery status
3. install the omega rom.
4. remove the battery
5. press VOL UP + home button + power key to enter CWM
- repeat step no. 2
6. reboot.
It should solve the problem buddy... and bring your phone to a normal state...
Find the official firmware for your region..from here
Unpack the zip and use the md5.tar file..
Boot your phone in Download mode..vol down+power+menu
Open Odin and select the tar file as PDA
Start..
If you are stuck at the boot screen..hold vol up+menu+power to go to stock recovery..wipe data factory reset from there then reboot..
Your phone will be as good as new..
So I recently got a nexus 5and I'm giving my old ZTE Skate to my dad. So I wiped all user data, formatted system, flashed a jenkins CM 10.2 rom (the 2nd or 3rd newest build as of posting this.I flashed a stripped gapps found here. And now whenever I start the phone it successfully boots but Setup Wizard crashes whenI tap on next on tzhe language select screen. I figured thet I used a bad gapps but I thought it would work, since it worked with an earlier cm 10.2 jenkins build. Sure I would just reflash but for some reason if I boot into cwm recovery (5.5.0.4, don't remember where I got it) from a turned off state (power+volume down) the buttons doesn't work in it. I always had to boot into it with the extended power options. But setup wizard crashes everytime I don't have access to the settings app so i can't enable advanced boot options. so I basicly can't do anything woth recovery. and I can't do anything with fastboot and adb either because i can't enable usb debugging
any help on how to restore it would be appreciated

solution for your problem, just use google translate
I have an HTC Desire 620G Dual Sim.
Hello , today i got a notification to install a software update , and so i thought 'why not' and proceeded. When it finished , it booted , then went to a screen saying something like ' no command found' , and i got into a menu with multiple choices such as boot , backup/restore from sd card , install update from sd card , cache , adb etc , so i chose boot , but when it booted again , it got me back into the screen saying ' no command found ' or something similar , then i chose 'backup to sd card' because i thought , for some reason , that once it was done it'd boot properly . On the next screen there's a droid with a blue thing rolling in it's stomach , a blue bar that is now full and it says ' installing system update' . It has been going on like this for 20 minutes now . When i press the power button the blue thing stops rolling and it says :
'SD card free space : 14831MB
User data allocated:4182MB
backup file : userdata_20151008_180633.backup'
I'm rooted , i have no custom recovery , no mod or kernel or anything , i haven't been messing with those things at all , i just got root to get past a license verification.
What can i do to boot properly , back to my homescreen? By now i know that my warranty is voided if i bring my device to a service.
UPDATE : It's now finished the backup and went back to the multi potion screen. Would a factory reset do the trick?
I think you're stuck in the recovery/bootloader. Try to do a factory reset. If that doesn't help, you must flash stock firmware. Be aware for the next time you update. If you have root you can stuck in bootloop or stuck in the recovery/bootloader. Make a nandroid backup before you update with OTA.
PS: For flashing stock firmware, you should search for a guide in google or xda.

I let the device discharge overnight , and now , when i plug in the charger , it boots up but now it doesn't even let me access the recovery , it's stuck at the white htc logo screen . Any help , please?
Update : It's now been booted , and brought back to the recovery screen . I did a factory-reset but it just brought me back to the 'No command' screen. How do you flash custom firmware if you don't have a custom recovery installed?
You don't have to flash COSTUM firmware. You can flash STOCK firmware. Search for a guide in google or xda: HTC (FULL PHONE MODEL NAME) How to flash stock firmware
Don't ask me how to flash with fastboot because i don't know that (I'm a Samsung User).

Pasting this from another thread. I really need help.
Hi, I'm an android noob, and I'm having trouble installing this ROM. I go to recovery mode (TWRP 3.0.2-0) and I select factory reset and/or wipe dalvik and cache individually. I then go to my SD card and install the ROM and Gapps 6.0. I then reboot (tried wiping dalvik and cache too again before this step) and then, the motorola warning boot message shows up. I understand that it should show up for some 10 mins, but an hour is ridiculous. So I suspect that I'm missing something. Please help.
What is the rom and your device???
I got the same problem.
OK guys, so today I encountered the same problem. Actually I was trying to install the stock ROM, but I downloaded the wrong ROM and then when I had cleared all data(Internal Storage, dalvik cache, etc.) I accidentally rebooted my device and since then I'm stuck at the bootloader warning screen. Even when I try to power off so that I can go to recovery, it just restarts and I'm again stuck at that screen. Please help!
