I was palying with my newly rooted Xperia Neo , I chnaged couple files like SustemUI.apk and everything was working great, but when I replaced framework-res.apk with the one I extracted from this theme my phone started loopBoot, I didn't know that this file senstive and I thought that it will be OK to replace it same as for others, but now I read that I will need to reflash ROM or unlock boot loader
And also I found this solution but SuperOneClick can't root shell untill I boot, and once it done my device will reboot again !! so I don't know what to do, is there any other solutions or I did something wrong?
Thank you in advance.
P.S
I flashed 42 and after rooting upgraded to 63, also I have a backup copy of framework-res.apk in my framework folder, maybe there is some way to reach to it and replace the new one?

what buildnumber do you have man?
this is for 4.0.A.2.368 so its not good what you did,
if you have backed up you framework-res.apk restore it then, and then reboot, but mate what is a loopboot? you mean a bootloop
@TMSxXDA:do you have CWM on your phone?

Connect phone into flashmode and then flash any new firmware you like using flashtool via pc.
Or repair your phone using pc companion.
Sent from my Turbocharged Neo V
Thank you very much vor your fast replay.
I flashed the rom again with flashtool with uncheking Clear user data option and that solved everything, almost.. I went in the famous "as i figured out" problem of google play crush, anyway at least i was able to backup data and make totaly new flash of my ROM.
Also I installed CWM, the special version from google market for Xperia to avoid such problems as you mentioned, and tryed to backup the rooted clean stock rom, but it stops with error of incapability of bucking up android_secure, is that normal?

Hi everybody and merry christmas!!
So i've a problem with my mini pro sk17. It was unlocked, rooted and with latest firmware 0.58.
I've tried to install hybrid rom v4.5, so for that, i put cwm on my phone. I entered it one time (for installaing the rom) and since, no way to get it back! I 've read the thread about cwm installed, and there is one post wich talk about this issue (missed it of course before flashing!!!!gggrrrrrr): now my phone stay at sony ericsson logo.
Flashtool doesn't work on my pc (java problem, but can't resolve it)
I can put my phone in fastboot mode, but when i try to install another recovery, it says that i'm not root, but yes i am.
Nothing else works. Is there a way to erase completely the phone and push back stock rom or something like that?
Thanks for help.

First of all some questions.
How did you install CWM?
What version of CWM did you run?
Is it nAa's recovery?
I think that your recovery is not able to install custom roms and that it has been deleted during the installation of hybrom.
To install a fully functional CWM and to be able to flash custom roms, you will need to install a custom kernel first, that contains CWM.This can be done only by using fastboot. So you better try and make it work...
Hi, thanks for the reply,
the cwm i've installed was with SE extrem tweak installer found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346190
but i don't know wich version it was.
Yes i've already tried with flasboot, but the problem is that, when i push the kernel, it says that i'm not root!!
Is there a way to get root with fastboot or adb? cause superone cliq or doomlord script root don't work until my phone is not fully started.
I get adb working some times, but i'm not sure i can do something with it.
Bye

If fastboot says that you are not root, then your bootloader is still locked.Unlock your bootloader (visit this page:http://unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com/instructions)
and then flash whatever kernel you want....
Yeahhhhh,
it works!!
Thanks a lot, you're a god for me!!
It is strange cause, it wasn't bootlaoder locked before, so that's why i didn't try to unlock it first. For me it was already unlocked.
So, it's great now i can't do what i want.
HAve a nice day.
Thanks again.

hello, I've got a huge problem. I own Xperia Arc S and I wanted install the new Android ICS without waiting for my country release. It wasn't rooted and bootloader wasn't opened. I downloaded and installed Flashtools 0.6.8 for Windows from here:
http://ul.to/w076p5wf
Then I click on "Root" button, the process started but also ended with error and root failed. I also installed Flashtool-drivers --> click on Flashboot mode and flashed the kernel with kernel of ICS. Kernel was from:
http://eddy.uni-duisburg.de/bin4ry/L....0.562_NCB.ftf
from the page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1598072
It was ok so i click on "return to hone mode". But it failed and now my phone can not start. I only see startup sony ericsson animations which always reloads I tried remove the battery but it won't help. My computer on windows 7 also do not see dhe device, always trying to install the device driver and fails everytime. Please help if you can and know how
It seems I've got BootLoop...
So the Kernel is installed? Try to boot in recovery mod, maybe you have it now (I can't see the page where you downloaded the kernel). While you're smartphone is booting, press "Volume Down" again and again until you see the menu appear. Then you could do a wipe cache, maybe it will help
Hope someone will have a better answer...
I will try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1450902
I am downloading 2.3.4 global generic from here:
http://uploaded.to/file/gsfx4w60
and then I will try to flash it with FlashTool 0.6.8.0
Ok, I think it will work! I hope you could use you're phone ASAP!
But to do this I need .ftf file, global generic, but I can't find it anywhere
even on XDA forum I tried, It is said that it is.ftf file and then I've got plenty of .sin files
Can somebody send me an .ftf file please?
I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330314
you have to unlock your bootloader first to be able to flash anything other than the stock rom on your phone. it is free and you can do it through sony. but you might be able to flash the ics stock its just tricky due to flashtool needing an update
heres ics stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598072
and how to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24825196&postcount=103
one post up has original .ftfs
it works! )
OK, I created my own ftf file (a few files, one of them worked), and flashed it with FlashTool, it seems that now I have pure stock 2.3.4 firmware although two of four branded applications from Orange has gone. I don't know why two are still in my phone if now I've got World generic (I've checked it in service menu), wired, hmm. Wired seems that all my applications I had before are still installed in my phone Also some new from stock sony like Let's golf or Video Unlimited. Now I will try to unlock bootloader, root the phone and will try to install ICS with FlashTool. Thanks a lot everybody for help and suggestions
Great!
Go unlock the bootloader and have fun!!
I have no idea what I'm doing so I thought following a step by step guide would help me...but apparently not.
I followed this guide because I wanted this ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1206625
BUT I used xRecovery from here (also I used this guide to get root access):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1682966
I already had the baseband so I didn't do the optional step, but I did download the file after searching the topic for a live link (I wanted all the files I might need before starting so I could focus on the job).
My phone is now in an infinite loop of turning on, saying Sony Ericsson, then shutting down after a minute or so and retrying. I'm not sure what info to provide so I will just list off things I wrote down beforehand:
FIRMWARE: 2.1-UPDATE1
KERNEL: 2.6.29
BUILD: 2.1.1.A.0.6
SI: 1248-0835
I just wanted to let anyone who wants to help know I restored the backup through xRecovery...so it's like I never did anything....but I still really need to get rid of the OS I have and replace it with something clean, preferably what I tried the first time (first link).

You don't need to unlock the bootloader becasue you're trying to install a modified stock-rom from SE, which will run on SonyEricsson's stock kernel with no problem.
I hope you did all the wipes in xRecovery?
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache
Go into advanced menu
wipe dalvik-cache
wipe battery stats
Usually a bootloop on a rom that is proven to work is due to left-over junk in the cache or dalvik-cache. You can do these after you've installed the ROM.
Oh okay. I hadn't unlocked the bootloader and I was having trouble keeping my phone off and connected to my puter so thought I had better leave it for a day when I have time to focus on it. That was the part of rooting I was afraid of.
I did the first two cache but not the other two. Will try again in a few minutes and do those!
Same thing. Think I'm going to have to try the bootloader thing.

If you want that particular ROM there is no need to unlock the bootloader.
It is more dangerous than just rooting your phone and only needed if you need a custom kernel, which you don't for this ROM.
If you have flashtool (you can get it from here if you don't have it)
Make sure USB-debugging is on on your phone
Start flashtool
Connect your phone to your computer
Root it using the ROOT button in flashtool (the button with the lock on it)
Install xRecovery using the button with the cross on it.
Use the menu to boot into xRecovery
Choose Install zip from sd-card (no need to rename the zip this way)
Choose zip from sd-card (it wil show you the content on your sd-card)
Choose your ROM's zip
Choose yes
After the install is done reboot your phone.
If it won't boot the zip-file you downloaded may be corrupted.
You can get back to your original firmware by using Sony Update Service or PC Companion, so your phone will work again.
I find myself with a big problem. I just got a new Huawei Ascend D1 (not quad) and I am having MAJOR issues. My programing friend decided that he was going to root it for me and add the play store to it. He didn't and now now it won't boot. Near as I can tell, he did something to the system file, based on how gapps seems to be installed. Anyway, I can boot to the splash screen and put it in download mode. I can get to the bootloader, but it fails to allow me to flash the factory ROM back....something about a signature failure. I really need help. I have some knowledge of ADB, but seem to be failing. Can anyone help me?
Any pro. expert help you

I was able to get some info on what Z did. After rooting the phone with Root Bin4ry v18, he copied the contents of the System folder in the gapps package, using es file explorer, into the system folder of the phone. He then restarted the phone and now it goes straight to bootloader and will not flash the ROM. Unfortunately, I could not tell you what firmware was on it other than the latest one. The one bright spot in all of this is that Z made a copy of original system folder. I think I just need to get that back into the system folder on the phone and I should be all set.

have you try data wipe in recovery ?
if no so check and try wiping :good:
That was the first thing I tried.
This is old and very complicated way to root your phone, follow my new tutorial here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438752
First of all, this tutorial is mine only 5%, all I did is find all of the files
needed to perform tutorial (because original links are broken), and also I will try to
explain the steps little better, to make the process much faster, for all of you that are
still trying to find a way to root your phone..
It took me 5 hours to find all of the files and go trough with all of this, let's try to
make it a process that takes only 1 hour..
I used this to root my HDC Galaxy S3 G9300 LTE MTK6577 - Android 4.1.1
Also, this is just the old version, "yuweng" made a new one, here is the link;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923764
If his new version does not work for you, than you can download files of little more explained old version;
http://www62.zippyshare.com/v/30037369/file.html
P.S.
There are 3 files that I have not uploaded, because they have working links in original tutorial
and they are too big in size;
1) jdk-7u17-nb-7_3-windows-i586.exe
2) Android-Kitchen-0.223.zip
3) dsixda_cygwin_install.zip
If anyone needs asistance, just contact me..

You just need to make a backup of your system and send it to me, or just post it here, and I will root it for you and send it back to you..
Here is a simple guide for that..
http://bm-smartphone-reviews.blogspot.com/2012/04/creating-rom-dump-of-your-mt65x3-device.html
And remember I would need full rom, all of the parts, and not only just a recovery like shown in example..
When you are done, just zip the foldr where you have created your backup and upload it on www.bitupload.com
After that it should not take me more then 20 minutes to ROOT it all for you and send it back to you..
Regards,
Emrah.

Of course.. follow my tutorial, or just backup your system with SP flash tool, and then use mtk droid root and tools to unpack backed up rom file, while unpacking mtk droid root and tools will ask you if you want to create cwm recovery from it, click yes, then just install that recovery image to the phone via sp flash tool, that is all I am going to tell you.. and anyway, why are you so lazy.. just follow my tutorial and you can root your phone on that way too.. what do you want from me? do you want me to do it for you? -.-"

If you do not know what I am talking about, then if you start playing with that you will brick your phone.. so I suggest you not to do that.. Use your phone as it is..
There is no one click solution for this, I am expirianced user, and I had to work on this for one or two days to root jelly bean on mt6577.. so it is not something for begginers.. do not touch that..

Use this: http://blog.morrison.nl/how-to-backup-and-install-cwm-on-your-no-1-mini-pad-rom/
You can see in that tutorial that they have said that you should copy the hex code after the cache image ( http://blog.morrison.nl/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Capture9.png ), but on that way you will not get userdata and chace from your phone, and it is recomended that you get that too.. Soo take the code after "NODL_EMTPOOL" or if that can't go, use the code after "NODL_FAT"..
When you are done with that tutorial place this file on your SD card: http://www11.zippyshare.com/v/70088402/file.html
Get in your CWM recovery on your phone, make at least 2 or 3 full backups via clockworkmod recovery (for each of these backups you will need less then one Gb space on your SD card (probabbly you will need at least 4 Gb SD card), and make sure your battery is 100% full), and then install that file from your SD card.. System backup and Rooting done!
P.S.
ROM file you create while you follow that first tutorial on that first link is very important, that is your STOCK system backup, save that somewhere safe on your computer, becouse maybe you will need it if your phone ends up in boot loop.. Also save these clockworkmod backups on your computer too..
It is recomended that even after you root your phone and have all of these backups, then you can connect your phone to the PC, open MTK droid root and tools, and then do a FULL backup with cache and userdata from there too..
If you do everything as I told you now, you will keep your phone 100% safe, and be done with rooting process in maybe 3 hours.. if you miss just one step, you will most probabblly brick your phone, and then you can throw it in garbage..
Also do not ask me to explain anything anymore.. use your head for a little bit!
Good luck,
Emrah.

If you are asking if this root option will work for you, I dont know, becouse it depends on your Android version.. Also, my suggestion for you is to follow my explanation that I provided here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44099755&postcount=13
There is big chance for you to get it to work that way, but even if you fail and something goes wrong, you can reinstall your system again..

Okay, here is what you need to do in order to fix your phone, follow ONLY THE FIRST PART of this tutorial to back up your system first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438752
After that when you back up your system, do not root it.. insted of rooting it return your phone to factory defaults.
When you return your phone to factory defaults, your camera maybe should start working, if not.. ohh well, you are out of luck when it comes to your camera, I told you to first back up your phone because after trying to root your phone on many occasions and then after trying to restore the phone to factory defaults you could soft brick your phone. (even though it might not even happen do the backup just in case).
Okay so after you have backed up your phone, and restored it to factory defaults, you should follow this tutorial from beggining to the end: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438752
You need to back up your phone again! And then after you back it up for the second time you will find the way to root your phone on the bottom of the tutorial, it is pretty easy solution actually.. Instructions are under "rooting process" .. read the part for "* MT6575/MT6577 devices with Jelly Bean" ..
At earlier times when I had that model of phone that you have, I didnt know how to do all of this,
But anyway, if you follow everything 100% as I have described, you will most probablly even fix your camera, and you will definetlly be able to root your phone easily.
Remember DO NOT skip any, and I mean ANY of these steps, because if you do you might brick your phone and there is no fix for that since there is no original firmware for your model out there, meaning DO THE BACKUPS!!!
Good luck man!
P.S.
After you are done with everything, you could save your IMEI numbers and use this instructions to change your imei number to all zeros: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BW5lSVeMC4g
After that do the third backup of your system, and then start a new thread on this forum called * ORIGINAL FIRMWARE FOR e1920_v77_zlh_fwvga * , upload that firmware on maybe zippyupload.com and put the links in your thread.
You will be the first guy to put originall firmware for this model on the internet.
Just as I helped you, you will be helping many others with that! And ofcourse they will be thankful for it.
Regards,
Emrah.
