Hey guys, I'd like to know what your thoughts are on these two roms. Been using BlackStar so far and battery life is so-so. Read some omega users switched over to it but I'd like some input 'cause I want to try out Omega as well. I'm looking for battery and performance opinions.
Hopefully replies in this thread will help other users

Hi there,
I'm switched from my old Droid to a new SGS2, so I was wondering what good roms were out there for this device?
I browsed this forum for a while and was overwhelmed how many different roms there are for the SGS2.
So far I only used CyanogenMod 7 and MIUI on my old Droid.
I'm mostly looking for performance and customization and I guess DlevROM looks ok.
Any recommendations for a new SGS2 owner?
In case I missed a similar post, I apologize.
greetings
For me Lite'ning Rom v6.1 XXKH3 is very good. I'm using this rom.
thx for the reply
What do you like most about it?
Compare yourself...!
I flashed Lite'ning rom v6.1.
Installed SetCPU & AnTuTu benchmark v2.3.1
Ran the benchmark.
It got 6842...!!!
I didn't change a single voltage...
Just ran & compare with ur result.
That's the answer.
Again,
As far as my experience, it is bug-free.
And I'm sure it's finely-crafted.
Perfect & also includes original Samsung apps.
Just flash it & u'll see.
Thank but unfortunately development has been stopped on this.

Litening rom was the first rom i ever tried and its really quick but I will say that it is a battery killer.
All roms out there are at a high standard. I nornally go for eye candy and user reviews.
I would try LeoMar 75 Kitchen Rom. you can customise the rom to how you want it. The advantage over most of the roms is that if you make a change (flash a theme you don't like) you can always change it back without messing around with Nandroid backups. Different kernals can be flashed on the fly so you can find the best balance between Battery life and performance.
Hope this helps

try CheckROM, it's great!
hi to all,
ı am using darky2rom and nimphetamine kernel. This setup is perfect for sgs2.
It uses low memory and you can customize whatever you want. 2 days battery life with 1000mhz cpu.(using voltage control)

I know you are asking for aosp rom, but, try
OMEGA 27.2 or wanamlite 3.7
+
JB Domination theme + android stock internet browser + apex or nova launcher
+
PIMP MY ROM (<- awesome mod)
+
titanium backup pro to RE-ODEX a deodexed rom
I am having the better battery life that I never had before<- thanks to pimp my rom
A great AOSP "like" experience with the JB domination theme + aosp stock browser
an everything works fine because it is a samsung based stock rom
but especially thanks to "pimp my rom", I think my flasholic adiction is over :silly:
If I understood correctly, these kinds of posts (what is the best ROM?) are against the rules here at XDA.
But anyway... I suggest sifting through the ROMs published in the development forum and just reading what they're about, reading user experiences, and of course trying out the ones that seem interesting to you.
That's what I do.
That's what I imagine most people on here do.
That's what's so great about this place.
Thread reported to moderator....best rom threads aren't allowed here nor are they looked upon lightly, selection of a rom is entirely based on personal preference.

These best rom threads are just silly.
Hey who's the hottest chick in the world? I bet there would be a thousand different answers..this thread is like asking that...

Hey all,
I used to run Cyanogen Mod on my SGS2, but since having got an SGS3 i've been running it stock.
Ive seen that CM10.1 has some issues which im sure may annoy me.. just wondering what everyone thinks is the best/most stable AOSP rom at the moment
- Best battery life?
- Bluetooth Audio must work. I use it in my car for music.
Thanks

Let's just use these threads to discuss the news. Did you guys know it's the International Hugs day?
DO NOT POST A "What's the best ROM/Kernel/Theme?" THREAD!
Thread Closed.
hi guys i wanna know that what rom are you guys using currently, and why you like that rom so much, give info about the battery life or bugs.. im a cm lover but too bad its draining my battery so im currently on ics Stock and rooted and i get about 15-18 hrs of usage before charge.
Every once in a while somebody starts a new thread with a question that's slightly modified but is actually a 'what's the best rom?'-thread. Search for some roms that represent YOUR preferences the best and try them.

Hi XDA community
I am new and recently decided to take a leap and rooted my Galaxy S3 GT-i9300!
I'm looking for a Rom...
I have a couple of needs:
1) Extended battery life
2) To look sort of like Carbon ROM
3) Not many bugs. My phone needs to be used in various times so having it become laggy or crashing isn't really what im up for
ALL ideas welcome, please post a link to the rom!
Thank You!
