[Q] Best/most stable AOSP based rom at the moment? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all,
I used to run Cyanogen Mod on my SGS2, but since having got an SGS3 i've been running it stock.
Ive seen that CM10.1 has some issues which im sure may annoy me.. just wondering what everyone thinks is the best/most stable AOSP rom at the moment
- Best battery life?
- Bluetooth Audio must work. I use it in my car for music.
Thanks

[Q] Best Froyo Rom

Hey all just wondered what people's opinions on the current best froyo rom for Hero is? I'm currently running VillianRom12 which i'm very happy with but as ever i'm interested in the next best thing - Froyo!!
check my signature
BUT - camera fixes are in the works, possibly froyd will be first out of the box with it, but there are no guarantees there.

the best thing to do is try them all, they are all pretty similar at the moment.
oh, and you posted in the wrong section....
your title even has [Q] in it....maybe it should be in the Q&A Section....

[Q] Which is the Best Rom ?

Hey guys need your expert help, actually my girlfriend uses the ACE and i wanted to install a custom rom for her which is smooth n does not lag preferably looking for a daily driver. Need to know which is best rom which can fill the requirements.
Thanks
there are many same threads of this
herpderp ©copy+paste
None is the best. Saying so is like insulting dev working hard on other roms. Its just the matter of preference.
If u looking for stability and daily driver, go for any custom rom based on stock.
And if u do a little search, most thread asking for "best ROM" were closed by mods.
Sent from your phone
Well, if you want to go with a CM7.2 I highly recommend Jusada's Ice Cream Sundae FINAL. It runs smoothly and really fast.
But if you want a modified stock rom, you have Stock Lite v5 which is pretty damn good and you have quick reply from the dev if you encounter any problem.
I installed The Myth's Team's Imaginary ICS today, and I have to tell that it blown me away. Pretty fast and stable. And can't complain about the battery so far either.
Hope I helped
dude did u read sticky threads
if u didnt READ!
there are to much threads with best rom question
and i thought its gonna stop after that sticky thread
but noobs dont read
and there is no best rom cause of several reasons:
1.different base rom (cm7,cm9(beta),stock,lewa rom,miui rom)
2.its disrespectful to the developers
3.u need to make your own choice
You are not going to get an answer here so just PM me
guys i know how the search options works & checked out a ton of roms but the reason i created this thread was to know which of these roms do u guys think would serve my purpose.
i had no intention of being disrespectful to the developers n judging them in terms of work, we all know how hard they work so that we can get the best out there.
i've currently downloaded CyanogenMod 9.0.0-RC0-GT-S5830-GalaxyICS-KANG-nigthly i love the smoothness will check it out for a couple of hours & see how things go, the only problem i saw was the camera wont launch.
Next i'll be trying Jusada's Ice Cream Sundae FINAL
judging your responses you should look for a stock based ROM. Those have good battery life and are great for daily use. CM 7.x and 9 are just for performance, doesn't seem to be you need that. stocklite or omegarom works fine.
Try

Thanks guys downloading StockLite v5.0 now... appreciate it
AOSP Beta1 without a dout.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1447602&page=24
just a matter of time mods will close this thread. u should try n error instead of asking this sensitive question. u dont even have to pay to use their roms...

[Q] Stable and Fast rom for my mom?

What up!
My mom just bought a Galaxy S2, which I am to borrow for two weeks while I am going to the states, since LG pushed the Nexus 4 launch date in Denmark
I am really not a fan of TouchWiz, and I want a pure android experience.
But I don't know of any Galaxy S2 roms, I was thinking AOKP Milestone 1 or Cyanogenmod 9.1 stable?
It's my moms phone, so it can't have any bugs.
iOS.

CM 9.1 stable is stable only in name it still has minor bugs, infact there is no perfect rom even considering stock roms, you have to actually test and find a suitable one yourself, see for in cm 9.1 features like Wifi direct don't work , radio is disabled and H/W decoder doesn't support all common formats like avi. So since it's for your mom who I expect to be less tech savvy I say give her a debloated samsung based custom roms, i recommend you to try Neat Rom Lite v4.0 based on stock jelly bean rom, all features are working and no known bugs.
Using GT - I9100
I thank those who give helpful comments
I expect the same from others.

Anyway no moderators have taken any action against these kind of threads and if moderators think its ok to let this question be here, i thought it would be better to answer the poor guys, instead of ignoring/ridiculing/scolding them and anyway answering the questions isn't against the rule so heads up.

No action was taken as moderators have real lives to attend to, we're not bots, nor computer controlled.
OP, I suggest you do a little reading, first the XDA rules. Then this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1612881

[Q] Most stable ROM for a Daily Driver

Hi XDA! My SG3 fell victim recently to sudden death syndrome. Search isn't working at the moment so posting here in hopes for an answer.
I still have my trusty vibrant so I'll have to use this temporarily until my phone is repaired. I drive about an 1 each way every day and need a ROM that is stable enough in case of any (god forbid) emergency. Looks like CM10 isn't ready for this yet? Any help appreciated thanks!

if all you want is stable/working rom go with cm10.1(4.2.2) or with semaphore 3.0.0v kernel or my PAC-Man rom (4.2.2) is quite solid.
when you feel like getting brave try some of our 4.3 roms they are coming around.

Yessir stable working ROM is high priority for this legacy phone. Thanked for your time and efforts sir!
There is no BEST and yet they are all the BEST. Members are expected to research and read through the development threads before altering their device. The only thing you will get here is a list of all the ROM/KERNEL because every member has found what is best for them. You can get the same list by looking at the first few pages in development.

Have a great day!

Rom Install

I want to try a new rom for my phone cause i got bored of CMD10 what rom do you guys recommend to me i want it to be stable and fast
There's hardly anyone reading this forum. They have moved on to other phones. But read the currently and recently active threads in the development forum to see what's available, and get clues as to what is good.

thanks i remember talking to you about this like a year ago and you recommended me ShoStock 3 is that rom good or there betters??
Also i read the cyanide thread and looks pretty good what do you think its better i want the opinion of a that has more knowledge in this than me
Do you want Touchwiz or AOSP? If you want touchwiz, then I would recommend either Cooked or SHOstock3, as either one of those is stable. I'm not familiar with AOSP having barely ever used it, so I can't make any suggestions there. Read the threads, as I suggested, and maybe post your questions in those threads.
