[Q] Best Froyo Rom - Hero, G2 Touch Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all just wondered what people's opinions on the current best froyo rom for Hero is? I'm currently running VillianRom12 which i'm very happy with but as ever i'm interested in the next best thing - Froyo!!

BUT - camera fixes are in the works, possibly froyd will be first out of the box with it, but there are no guarantees there.

the best thing to do is try them all, they are all pretty similar at the moment.

your title even has [Q] in it....maybe it should be in the Q&A Section....

In my opinion Duttys cdlc and mattc Leo + Froyo w/Sense 1.6b
Other users will report other ROM combinations as it depends on everybody´s preferences. So this thread seems to be not really useful
Dutty's and Xcelsior
A futile question if you ask me as everyone has their own opinions. My view (for what it's worth) of the best rom / android combination is in my signature .
These questions always pop up and are often closed as soon as they appear because there is no such thing as a best rom as everyone's needs and preferences differ. The answer to which one is best is the one that suits your needs best, so try a few and decide for yourself.
Nah
Nah use Energys micro rom and Foyos 2.2 Desire Rom - Very fast... although you will have some problems with soem app... but his is for all android ports i think

So to the OP I hope you are now better informed as to what is best than before you started this thread. I'm guessing not though.
Let me know when a Mod is going to close this thread....

I come from another phone development.. help me

Hey guys, I come from the "Mytouch 3G Slide" development forum, and well..
You guys just have so much its getting me lost lol.
My question is:
with sooooooooooo many roms.. which are the most used and people like the most?
Something that has features to impress the person next to you, its fun, fast, and nice.
Where I come from there's mostly just Cyanogen Roms.. so yeah, im lost, you guys have a LOT of roms.

Look all I want to know is which ROM(s) are good.. You guys have tried them, I have NOT.
I want experience from people who have tried them.
I have rooted LOTS of devices..
Dont go assuming I can't root because I'm posting a simple question.
The ones I tried and that I like the most are:
CriskeloRom V34 (under Galaxy SII Android Development)
CheckROM Revolution V4 (under Galaxy SII Original Android Development)
I hope that helps
Good place to get started
Best way to get started with roms on the SGS2 is go visit here:

John.
one mans good is another mans poor
just read through some of the more popular threads, you can see the number of replies in each one, and flash it if you want to. If you dont like it, flash something different.
Its not rocket science
I've used Checkrom, Criskelo Rom & Hyperdroid. Personal fave is hyperdroid rom. Fast, fluid and amazing battery life

[Q] Best/most stable AOSP based rom at the moment?

Hey all,
I used to run Cyanogen Mod on my SGS2, but since having got an SGS3 i've been running it stock.
Ive seen that CM10.1 has some issues which im sure may annoy me.. just wondering what everyone thinks is the best/most stable AOSP rom at the moment
- Best battery life?
- Bluetooth Audio must work. I use it in my car for music.
Thanks

Let's just use these threads to discuss the news. Did you guys know it's the International Hugs day?
DO NOT POST A "What's the best ROM/Kernel/Theme?" THREAD!

Best Stock ROM With Great Battery Life?

Hi everyone! my girlfriends sumsung galaxy s II drains battery way too fast so I'm trying to get it to a ROM that looks exactly like the original (stock) but extends the battery life. Do you guys have any recomendations? I already have it rooted and CWM kernel installed - thanks!
This will be closed soon as all these "Best ROM" threads do for the simple reason that there is no such thing as a best ROM because everyone uses their phone differently. Only you can decide what is best for you by trying them out and finding which one works for the way you use it.

I agree there's no such thing as a "best rom", just looking for recommendations.

As stated, try them. Everyone usage is different.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda app-developers app
OP, Sir as posted above recommendations are just that, the only true way to figure out what is best for you and your device or in this case your girlfriend. You should just try them and see what works, with so many variables involved with users and devices it is pointless to ask for recommendations. Example my wife and I have the same device, but for her the best ROM for battery life is stock rooted. As for me I use custom ROMs, same device, same carrier, but not same usage....or same apps.
BTW questions should be in the Q&A sections vice the General Sections.
Thank You.

Rom Install

I want to try a new rom for my phone cause i got bored of CMD10 what rom do you guys recommend to me i want it to be stable and fast
There's hardly anyone reading this forum. They have moved on to other phones. But read the currently and recently active threads in the development forum to see what's available, and get clues as to what is good.

thanks i remember talking to you about this like a year ago and you recommended me ShoStock 3 is that rom good or there betters??
Also i read the cyanide thread and looks pretty good what do you think its better i want the opinion of a that has more knowledge in this than me
Do you want Touchwiz or AOSP? If you want touchwiz, then I would recommend either Cooked or SHOstock3, as either one of those is stable. I'm not familiar with AOSP having barely ever used it, so I can't make any suggestions there. Read the threads, as I suggested, and maybe post your questions in those threads.
