not sure what went wrong, but I'm getting lots of forced closed errors. What I did.
I went back to GB .58, did a flash and unchecked Wipe data. this caused lots of errors.
I figured I should go back to ICS, did another flash in the same way, again I'm getting the errors .
Anyone know how I can fix this?

Backup your data first.
Then do a 'repair' using PCC or SUS. Or you could try flashing with wipe data ticked.
Hope it helps

I'm guessing my data on my SD card is safe, I'm not sure how to backup the data on the phone, personal.
Main error seems to be android.com.phone has stopped.
Not familiar with PCC or SUS.

So downgrade it with a wipe, and root it, and update it again with a wipe You can install all your apps from play store later Backup your contacts to memory card. You can find it in the options in phonebook. You can import them afterwards

Turn on USB debugging. In case it is already on, turn it off and then again on. Same goes for unknown sources.
Thanks,

i have a little problem:
i just installed cyanogen 10, and all went great, except it won't do anything
it's just the blue icon on the start, and it's like that for hours, until the battery over
is there something i can do, or is complety bricked?
Doesn't sound like everything went all that great then!
What recovery did you use to flash the ROM? Did you wipe the device as per instructions first? Can you reboot into recovery mode? What ROM were you on before?
Just as a tip, you'll have to provide more detail and show you are trying to resolve the problem or you will find yourself on your own more often than not...

well, i'm kinda new to this, so i used this post on xda:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1803593 (my samsung tablet is 10.1, not 10.1v, i don't know if it makes the diference)
there was step 7 that says:
7. Once in recovery: clean cache & clean dalvik cache. (I did a full wipe to be sure I don't report bugs to pershoot which are linked to data problems).
and i remember clean cache, but the dalvik cache i couldn't find it
the rom i had was the same from the store, androind 3.2 i guess
and yes, i can go to the recovery mode, what can i do?
The first thing you shouod always to before flashing roms is make a backup in CWM recovery. If you have a backup then go to restore in recovery and restore it ans start over. Dalvnik cache is in the advanced section of CWM recovery. So is format system if you need to that per the instruction provided by the rom's OP.

i didn't made a backup, so there is any file that can bring the old system back (android 3.2) ?
or is it possible to do directly on the CWM menu? (if there is, how do i do it? )
and thanks in advance for your help
Your going to have to use ODIN to get back to stock 3.2. Use the Unrooting process outlined I this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474971. THIS WILL WIPE YOUR SD CARD PARTITION. From there, reflash clockworkmod recovery with ODIN, but use the one provided by pershoot on his blog if you plan to flash one of his experimental CM builds. Goodluck! Follow all steps carefully, perform all necissary wipes. Oh and the first thing to do after you flash clockworkmod is perform a backup!
---------- Post added at 01:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:38 PM ----------
I think the links in the thread I gave you might be dead. If so you need the US 3.2 tar file. You can get it at sammobile.com.

Well since your getting a SoD... you most likely have to reflash your rom. If you don't have it on your phone you will have to to a sideload install. I've never played with sideload but I am sure others will be able to help you.
Do you have the android sdk installed? Sounds like you don't have the right drivers installed. Get the sdk, open the sdk manager, update the usb driver, reboot the pc. You should be able to push the rom to the phone with Adb.
You need to be bootloader unlocked and have a recovery installed like twrp or cwm as well.

did you update cwm I have heard others not being able to find it once they did. Also did you get that SoD from updating to a new rom? if so it is most likely corrupt or the install didn't complete.

Flashing firmware don't change "internal storage" just "device memory", but you'd lose apps and settings.
Titanium back can restore apps and settings but you have to approve installation of each app again and it takes a lot of time. The phone must also be rooted. For apps settings it should be ok.
Usually PlayStore install all my apps after flashing firmware. I think you need the acount backed up on google servers.
I need your help big time guys!! I edited my build.prop file. Now when I boot into my phone, its stuck and wont go past the Samsung galaxy logo. I read that i could use ADB. I got 2 questions:
1) I got the original copy of the build.prop file on my PC. How do I transfer it from my PC to the phone?
2) Is it possible to flash the same rom without affecting any of the data on my phone? If so, how?
If you have custom recovery installed in your device, flash the ROM that you are using, clear cache and dalvik cache and you would be good to go

If you do push the old build.prop and restart, you may again stuck in black screen. Push it to system via adb

It's very simple, and the script does most of the work. All you have to do is hit Enter a few times, and let it run.
Back up your data to be safe, and worse case scenario, there is an MSM tool available that will restore the phone to stock.

Use Google Drive backup, but you should first temporarily turn off your password/fingerprint authentication. That's the only way to ensure a complete backup is run. That's been an issue with Google device backup as a whole since 9.0 began enforcing encryption on backups.
You can turn it back on as soon as the backup completes.
One thing I've noticed already on this update is idle battery drain with 5G enabled (connected or not) has improved dramatically.
I would suggest that anyone who re-roots after makes sure to use a freshly patched kernel pulled after the update.
