empty cache from the browser and reboot if needed then try again,

Pls suggest me how to reflash or downgrade. I m having root.
Oh yeah ofcourse sorry xD
Ok, maby this works but you need the Honeycomb Update zip on your Tablet:
Code:
1. Boot into RECOVERY;
2. Flash [I][U]3.2.1r2[/U][/I] update zip;
3. During flash tablet will reboot 3 or 4 times, with 'green dots' screen.
Just before last 3rd dot reboot you've got to hold [B]VOL+[/B] button,
to get to RECOVERY just after flashing complete![B] IMPORTANT[/B]!;
4. Wipe device;
5. DONE.
[SIZE="1"]Wipe just after flash is very important, because if you will not gonna do this,
then it will be bootlooped in start animation, after wipe will boot correctly,
but after another reboot it will gonna boot again into ICS!
So if you will not gonna wipe just after flash, then just start all over again.[/SIZE]

Its a shame that there arren't many "Smart" people with a Sony tablet,

Maby you have to make an nandroid back up. thats all, then just follow these steps.
i have a little problem:
i just installed cyanogen 10, and all went great, except it won't do anything
it's just the blue icon on the start, and it's like that for hours, until the battery over
is there something i can do, or is complety bricked?
Doesn't sound like everything went all that great then!
What recovery did you use to flash the ROM? Did you wipe the device as per instructions first? Can you reboot into recovery mode? What ROM were you on before?
Just as a tip, you'll have to provide more detail and show you are trying to resolve the problem or you will find yourself on your own more often than not...

well, i'm kinda new to this, so i used this post on xda:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1803593 (my samsung tablet is 10.1, not 10.1v, i don't know if it makes the diference)
there was step 7 that says:
7. Once in recovery: clean cache & clean dalvik cache. (I did a full wipe to be sure I don't report bugs to pershoot which are linked to data problems).
and i remember clean cache, but the dalvik cache i couldn't find it
the rom i had was the same from the store, androind 3.2 i guess
and yes, i can go to the recovery mode, what can i do?
The first thing you shouod always to before flashing roms is make a backup in CWM recovery. If you have a backup then go to restore in recovery and restore it ans start over. Dalvnik cache is in the advanced section of CWM recovery. So is format system if you need to that per the instruction provided by the rom's OP.

i didn't made a backup, so there is any file that can bring the old system back (android 3.2) ?
or is it possible to do directly on the CWM menu? (if there is, how do i do it? )

Your going to have to use ODIN to get back to stock 3.2. Use the Unrooting process outlined I this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474971. THIS WILL WIPE YOUR SD CARD PARTITION. From there, reflash clockworkmod recovery with ODIN, but use the one provided by pershoot on his blog if you plan to flash one of his experimental CM builds. Goodluck! Follow all steps carefully, perform all necissary wipes. Oh and the first thing to do after you flash clockworkmod is perform a backup!
---------- Post added at 01:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:38 PM ----------
I think the links in the thread I gave you might be dead. If so you need the US 3.2 tar file. You can get it at sammobile.com.

You could ve flashed the wrong firmware or the one for different country.
try checking the firmware version and country version.
Still not working ?
Get a working store apk from Google.

Hello all,
New to the HTC One and hit the wrong damn box going to quickly and deleted the OS. Device shows "unlocked, tampered". In TWRP I can transfer a rom with my Mac using ADB side load. But when trying to install the rom.zip it fails automatically. Android Revolution is the rom I'm trying to install. Is there a way to just install stock ATT 4.4.2 and start fresh? Edit: Just tried flashing a rom from external sd with no luck either.
Anybody?

Yes, I can get to boot loader. The phone is recognized through ADB and through fast boot. Just have no clue how to get an OS back on the phone, just got the phone and hadn't done a backup since there wasn't anything on it yet. (stupid me)...Can I use the stock backup from this thread?

I've been reading about the RUU mode but how exactly do I go about it? I downloaded a stock backup from Mr. Hofs post based off my CCID, I'm just not sure how to get my phone back up and running:/ Just want to get it back to stock and I'll leave it alone.
Currently there isn't a RUU for stock sense just stock android for the GPE edition . Only way to get a stock Rom is to flash a recovery back up after u do the steps in that Thread .

What about just flashing a custom rom then?
Try to just mount in TWRP (not sideload) and adb push the custom ROM of your choice to the phone storage.
Not sure if this will put you in any better position. But its worth a try.

The is an actual "Mount" button on the TWRP homescreen. But it should already be setup by default (you can check in the "Mount" options) to mount the phone's data partition when you boot into TWRP and have USB connected.
After you've pushed the ROM to the phone's memory, install from TWRP the "usual" way. I think I've seen there this method has worked for people when ADB sideload did not (on my old EVITA). So hopefully this will work for you.
I did the same thing. I downloaded the custom ROM to internal memory .. popped into TWRP .. .. .. formatted all memory (INCLUDING Internal) .. then had 3.23454542234 seconds of wondering where my ROM was. LOL
All I did was copy the ROM to a MicroSD card (from a different PC with Micro to SD adaptor) .. installed the MicroSD card into the phone .. then flashed from the MicroSD card .. no worries. Easy Pasy!
EDIT: I see you tried. I also loaded Android Revolution .. I think you might want to try downloading the ROM again? I can confirm that I used that exact ROM and did the same thing of deleting the OS.

I hit enter and the terminal just sits there so I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly.
Put rom on external sd and install unless TWRP dont see external yet. ALways did this on my last few phones.

A lot of ROMs are almost 2 GB (depending on which ROM, of course). So it takes some time to transfer over.
If there is no error message right away, it might be a good sign its being moved over.

Hey guys,
I need a creative solution to restore my phone to stock for warranty claim. My USB does not work so I don't have the usual option of using Odin.
I thought I had found a solution with Mobile Odin but whenever I try to run, it mentions it is not compatible with my device. I am currently on Hyperdrive 17.1 via SS.
Thanks

If you are on NC5 I have a nandroid backup of a stock NC5 image that only has root. I could give you a link to my dropbox that has the zip and you could flash through safestrap then unroot, etc.... Yes it should work, generally you don't want to use nandroids from another phone of course, but if he's just doing it to return to stock for warranty, it should be enough to get it to boot, etc.

There you go. You should be able to download these files and put the in extsd/TWRP/backup/d.......
And "restore" in safestrap. You will then need to remove safestrap, supersu, and towel root apps and unroot. You may be able to unroot through supersu but I'm not sure. I hope this works for you...keep me posted so I can delete the dropbox folder if it works. Ill be deleting the folder in a day or two anyway just in case. The files are good but I assume no risk if something does go wrong as I've never done anything like this before...you should be OK though.
You may need to flash this https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358539843 for WiFi also.
Great. Well i have downloaded all files onto my SD in the directory mentioned...
When i go into SS to restore, nothing appears. Any idea?

This is an NC5 flashable zip, just install in safestrap as you normally would. It may just be a ROM but I can't remember. https://www.dropbox.com/s/mth9zpmxqg75jgc/VRUFNC5_Rooted_Stock-v2.zip?dl=0
You should be able to unroot and everything. Let me know how it goes.
try replacing usb port
I started fixing phones (mainly iDonts because screens are a LOT cheaper), but I've replaced a usb port on an s4 active and it took me less than 10 minutes start to finish (for your first time I would watch the youtube video a few times and take as much time as needed, and btw fridge magnets work great for not losing screws)
the part should be $10 to $20 with shipping on amazon, and tool kit is less than $5 (the part might come with tools, look in description)
just search youtube "how to replace usb galaxy s4"
the usb port (and attatched flex cable) is not carrier specific, however, it probably differs from the s4 active and mini, and unfortunately don't have one to see if it is, so be sure to look out for that. The procedure IS different between S4 active, S4 mini, regular S4 so be sure you're watching a how to video on the right model
if you need any help with this, reply to this thread or pm and i will help you out.
Unless you have very shakey hands and/or can't see those small screws, I am confident you can do it, for not much has to come apart to replace the usb. The hardest part is the flex cable connection to the motherboard, but if you disconnect it with a PLASTIC tool, you greatly reduce risk of damage, so use plastic. A magnifier may help to see what you're doing, especially when fitting the new cable connection
Good luck!
edit: just looked back n saw the part about warranty. Well, I'm pretty sure you can get away with this, if it is a defective usb port. Those long samsung cables go bad after awhile so try another one (if you knew that already, disregard) and make sure verizon doesn't claim misuse (i.e. forced cable upside down; I used to work for them, they wouldn't replace phones for that reason but that was almost 4 years ago) just maybe try and make it look well taken care of if going warranty route. I am still pretty sure there are no void stickers on any screws, but I can check as soon as I figure out how to get safestrap back after forgetting to flash supersu after Hyperdrive rls19. I miss mdk...wish i didn't break that $180 display, I went with $100 Asurion claim (btw it was a brand new replacement, so any void stickers would be there)
Anyways, hope this helps, reply if need more, and good luck!

If I'm not mistaken, that logo can only be removed with an Odin .tar full wipe, for that custom lock shows up when anything to the ROM is changed, which it still may be. Locked bootloader means anything before the safestrap logo is locked (i think). I may be full wiping via odin today for I need to get root again, so I can let ya know if it gets rid of that.
Obviously I'm still a newb to xda, but I've been rooting for few years now, so keep that in mind. Just tryin to get my thx count up so I can actually post things lol. But if I am wrong about ANY of this, I am open to any criticism (so long as not rude and quick explaination why)
Hope this helps
Edit: maybe try flashing that zip again, but wiping system first? But if you lost safestrap I'm not sure how that is possible

Hi guys,
So, I have this problem, after unbrick the phone it turn on whith the split screen. I use this method to unbrick: https://www.gizmochina.com/2016/11/20/leeco-x820-max-2-super-unbrick-guide/ and now the phon it´s like in the photo. I tried all the ways: installing a new twrp, only works the Cuoco92´s twrps but instead i can not flash any rom, it turn on in black screen. Also i tried to d flash with the adb sideload , whitout results. In twrp the screen is also splited.
Many people have this issue after unbrick, no solution.

It seems to be an issue with stock recovery and bootloader, their are not compatible. Why I´m telling you that? Because the digitalizator it is functional, the screenshots are entire and they are many people who can restore complet the phone, but they are offline , like STEVE_MARS and many other.
It could be the QFIL file you used , please try this one and tell us --> here

have you look here ?
Are you sure you followed the OP carefully? There is a TWRP that is designated for using with the 014s ROM. Please use that one. I think the issue you have is with the drivers. Some users had installed another TWRP and they fixed it. Before 016s it was another kernel, therefore a different TWRP should be used. Also please mention when the screen became split, after finishing with QFIL, or after installing TWRP.

Try 3.0.2-0 and 3.0.2-1. Unfortunately the post that I was referring to had a TWRP for 014s that worked for me and many others, but now the download link is dead. In that case, I can suggest the above versions. They look pretty old, enough to work with 014s. Try them and report back. By the way, you can find them in the unbrick guide, I posted the links there.
This it is the new stade of may phone. I have a custo twrp, 3.0.2 Cuoco92 and when I try to instal a new rom this happens:

40-45 seconds later, this happens, I let it almost 40 minutes and... nothing:

Really, I can´t find any solution, it´out af my understanding...
It was solved without replacing the screen!
Ok so, I did as shown in the topic : https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-...tboot-t3525831
download twrp (The one I know didn't had the touchscreen issue)
boot from twrp (wish I had know about it before!) and not from one installed
upload zip file to /sdcard ( here's the catch, while in TWRP in don't have access to adb, the phone doesn't connect to pc or I don't know even I mount it, could be me. So i just put the archive at the root of the phone before booting to twrp from adb)
install rom
reboot
And ... it's ****ING WORKING!*
Really big thanks to ThE_MarD for his help!

Did same steps bro, didn´t work . I only can install roms with 5.6 kernel, but still split screen. If is not a HW problem , I think is a kernel compatibility with display drivers and motherboard. I think the phone has a display named "trully" , manufactured after 5.6 kernel, so there is the problem. It.´s only my opinion.
