Have never used the flash on my legend before until last night. I was horrified by the bad bad overexposed white'ish photos appearing on my screen when using the flash to take a photo of a badly lit room.
Only when i go really close to something the photos are ok but otherwise using the flash is absolutely rubbish !
Is there an app or update or something to correct this ?
Running CM 7.0.3
AFAIK CM roms have the ability to make the light brighter than it should be.try another rom?
Have tried both 2.1 and 2.2 original rom for legend with the same bad overexposed result.
My friends legend running stock 2.2 also have completely unuseable pictures with flash.
Yes, I tend to rarely use flash and adjust my real-life background lighting and white balance to reduce that crap. I'm on CM7, but this problem persisted back with Blay0's 0.7, 0.8.4, and Stock 2.1 and 2.2, but that doesn't really matter.
The camera is great without the flash, the flash is only useful occasionally but then you experience shutter lag. I just use it for the flashlight
How come HTC hasn't tried to fix this since it seems to be a persistent design flaw ?!
I have the same problem with ogo2's ROM
Sent from my HTC Legend using XDA App
Hi all so i updated my phone to 2.3.4 through here KH3 firmware, and now if i use the camera it looks more like a vga camera than an 8megapixel (yes i have checked the settings its on 8) very grainy and unclear and worst of all when a photo is taken it lags then there is a black shutter and when u look at the pic after its very dark even in daylight or with flash whats going on. can someone please help me. Has this happened to anyone else?
thanks
Amy
Post a photo in full res, need to see how bad it is.
here is a pic its really bad what can i do
try to use flash
i did use flash.
i just took another pic with flash and its just the same
hey guys I need ur help... can someone please tell me how to configure my camera settings at its best so that I can take some good night photos
What camera app are you using? On the stock Samsung camera you should change the exposure value to 2 (you'll need to hold you phone still a little longer) turn on outdoor visibility. Or just scene mode> night time
I'm using default stock camera, rr rom 4.1.2
You are not using default stock camera if you are using rr rom as this can't have the stock SAMSUNG camera so you've got the stock Google camera. There are less options available on this camera it may be worth getting a camera from the market like camera zoom fx
This problem exist on all CM Roms like CM7, CM9, CM10.1... Why is that so? afaik only JB libs are missing but not ICS and GB
Try to put the scene mode on flourescent, the pics w/ Flash will back to normal, wo/ violet color, srry for my bad english
Hi everyone,
I'm writing to understand why my camera is no longer working properly after changing my ROM from stock to CYANO 10.2,
basically the camera focus correctly when I tap the screen but as soon as I push the shutter button, it focus back (refocus) making a blurry photo. It doesn't have any sense because It was working smoothly before CYANO and now seems that doesn't want to make sharp photos.
Two photos attached, one with sto ROM and one with CYANO.
If anyone can help It would be great because I can't keep a ROM that doesn't allow me to shoot photos.
Thank you very much to everyone.
