[Q] Wich ROM should i pick now? - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After all this changes in XDA...a few Developers leaving...and other are rising, wich Rom is the most stable, smooth, fast and light at the moment?
Write your opinion about wich ROM are you using?
What about AOKP? Xperia X10S? CM7, CM9? Jaf (Fera's) ROM? Debrand Engine? M&M's MIUI? Donut HD? Wich path to take now ???????

Donut HD is good for X10

If you talking about high performance, good for daily use, im proudly say DonutHD2.1 ROM recommended plugins are insidw my signature links if u view post here in computer internet or phone browser.
Whitefang

DiKeJ´s Dixperia 7, or wait 4 days and he will release Dixperia 8 - i cant wait for it, it will be awesome ROM ( like DX7)

try JAF/Fera for smooth butter like experience or MoKee v0.3 for lots of free ram plus amazing battery life

I also don't know which ROM to go for. I have tried Feras but never tried JAF - is it good? Like the look of the system menu with all the options on that ROM.
Whichever ROM I try though I always end up going back to WolfBreaks! Is JAF better?

Feravolt's ICS! Very cool rom, right now the best for our X10!

I've tried one of the ICS ROMs but it appeared sluggish because of the capped FPS. If that was not a problem I'd definitely use it

Been using donuts hd since it's first release...in my opinion it's the best for daily use.fast and reliable..it's like a superfast stock Rom without need of unlocking bootloader or changing kernel

Hey, is it done at Kernel level then? I was using the Alpha5 ROM by ChampionSwimmer (AOKP one at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1682343)
Would the kernel I used for that be uncapped? (FXP modded kernel)
Thanks

FeraVolt's ICS is very far from sluggish and fps is uncapped as far as it can be, up to 32 in 3d and 38 in 2d, sound is amazing, no colour issues, working deepsleep, it's fast, stable, smooth, beautiful and awesome. But, like all custom ICS roms, still no camera. It's your choice of course, but i can highly recommend this one. I never tried JAF but read a lot of good and positive things on that rom too.

I've tried almost every rom & I can confidently say that imo Z's CM7ZMOD is the best, it has the perfect balance & combination between speed & smoothness, stability & customizability
Right now I'm using Achotjan's Stock Replacement Rom which is also pretty good, not as fast as CM7ZMOD & a few minor bugs but still greattt

I think that ThGo v.17c with ThKernel n4-2 ( or ThKernel n5-1 which is extremally powerfull ) is the best for Xperia X10 for now.

What you guys think about M&M's MIUI ROM? Is it up to date, stable and smooth like the ones named by you guys?

What is the best ROM with Custom kernel for x10 mini pro

Hello, I would like to help me with the best custom ROM Kernel for x10 mini pro (I meet all the requirements) I'm looking for:
Make it smooth (That crash, as in the Stock ROM 2.1)
What keypad lights work well as in the Stock ROM
That the camera works perfectly, the photos are good and the video the audio is not delayed
Supporting swapp
That is stable and not constantly restart
That the battery lasts, it lasts as with the stock ROM, I was hard listening to music and browsing with wi-fi 12 hours
I do not use the ROM games exclusively for games as much as 2 games
I hope I can help recommending a ROM and a link to download
Thank you!

Bro, are you serious? :/ I thought MiniCM7 was the most stable ROM out there... At least majority says so. I myself am on MiniCM7, but dying to try MiniCM9. Just keep backing off over and over again.
Ahh, what the hell! Will install MiniCM9 today.
CM9 is slow and laggy. If u want stay on custom kernel install first this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1201116
But I prefer CM7 for NaA kernel, its faster, more stable and battery drain is better

If you want to continue using stock ROM, I recommend the ArcMini NxT6
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1225668
But CM7 2.2.1 with nAa kernel is a lot better...
Just installed MiniCM9 and boy its too good!!! And very very very stable. Sure some things dont work, but i dont even want video on my phone, so what the hell
I was using MiniCM7 before, so would suggest you the same. Install MiniCM7, use it for a while, later on make a backup of that ROM, then try out ICS and other ROMS, that way you can always come back to MiniCM7.
CM7 works for majority ppl's daily usage. Any other ROM just depends on your preference on what YOU want out of your phone. Lol, thats just the way I see it its always safe to go with CM, so better if you have it as a backup... Just in case.

Most stable and fast ICS rom (Xperia mini)

Hi guys, I have been expirimenting with many custom ics roms and some are really nice. I especially liked MIUI, but it had some problems like root permission not working for all apps, and other stuff. So I am looking for something that reaches the best in quality of use. What is in your opinion the most stable and fast ICS rom for Xperia Mini? Include the kernel if you want to....

I used Real ICS Lite 3 and I liked it quite a bit, but it was quite heavy and slow. I will give version 4 a go and tell you.
As for CM9 there are things that shouldn't be there, like bad preview on camera, no hd recording on video.

If you want a fast, lagless, not resource hungry ROM, then switch to GB. ICS is damn heavy. I used it for a couple of month, then reverted to GB again.
Try something like Spartan ROM, flush78, LEWA OS is pretty fast (based onCM7.2 though)
Every ICS ROM is going to be heavy in my opinion....
Or just wait fo a stable JB ROM...
real ics r4 and Krsh /mesa/raga kernel(its your choice)... i find it the most stable and fastest rom till now in term of ICS.. also the dialer respond is better than the stock one and you will get a lot of internal memory..just give it a try..
I have tried Real ICS Lite r4, and I must say it's a big improvement from r3. I am satisfied with it till now and I will keep it for the time being. !!!
I've found smultronic the best amongst ICS ROMs. Paired with mesa/krish kernel you can't go wrong. If you want a leaner, faster ROM, downgrade to gb.

Exactly what i wanted to say.Wait for a stable JB, till then use one of spartan or flush78, or you can modify your stock rom, that's what i did.Uninstall apps install scripts and modify the look of your rom. Then you'll have your rom exactly the way you like it, plus learn some things
P.S. GB and rage kernel = very stable
I'm thinking too of reverting back to GB.
I have the feeling that it was faster, smoother and less battery consumption.
However what about ICS new Feauture of better GPU overall perfomance, not that I play any games at all but i'm just saying..
Anyway I'm thinking of HaSa HyperbeamNewEdition rom ,,!
What do you guys think?
I don't want preety, I WANT STABLE, i don't mind even if the Boot Animation is a gay couple kissing, or Bieber, (preety much the same), i just want to open my phone and see everything working fast, stable , smooth and bug free.
* I can always go back to my Nokia N95 8Gb.. At least i could operate it even when my hands were swetty.. And everything were working ****ING AWESOME
****ing crappy SE phones + ****ing crappy Android OS.
best ics rom - real ics lite r4
best gb rom - either a tweaked stock rom or a hyperbeam cream.

what is the best ICS rom

i'm confused , plz tell me wich one is the perfect ics rom for X10

In my opinion, mcsquizzy98's aokp based hypersensation update 4 is the best. It's got Feravolt's FPS uncap (only works with Ferakernel v4 ) and is really fast, smooth and stable. On fxp cm9.1 and fera's ice v2 my phone keeps freezing and then reboots after 30 seconds. Haven't had that problem with hypersensation. If you do decide to install hypersensation, delete all except system_tweak script from the init.d folder, as the other scripts conflict and cause problems, such as lag in games.

Well the xperia pureness rom by Sand7 is pretty fast and
battery conserving. Most of the time I get around 170 to 180 MB of free ram.
Also if you are interested you can try the JB PACman rom by AllenHu. Only the youtube bug and accelerometer bug exist. And it is pretty fast and it also conserves the battery. And I mosty have around 190 MB of free ram always.

Serenity and Octane are the fastest ICS Roms at this moment. Both are battery efficient, depending on what kernel you using
They are also more or less bugfree.
This is battery life on Serenity, Octane has around the same. This is with kernelpanic 1.25, governor is ondemand, since I find smartassv2 laggy. Think you can get even a bit more battery life with Rage or Mess, but you lose on performance with those.

I recommend to the Hasa MIUI Rom. I just flash Unlimited Boost, I got 37fps on Nenamart 2 @ 924mhz.

[Q] The fastest and most stable ROM

So,
I've already tried out a few ROMs (CM9, MIUI JB, AOSP JB, AOKP B4).
I was very happy with CM9 - it had many features, was stable and also smooth. But it got after awhile a bit laggy.
Then I decided to go on MIUI JB. At the beginning it was the best i ever had, but then it was laggy as hell (even with overtakting) and unuseble.
I was very very happy with AOSP JB - cleanest and fastest ROM I've tried so far. Bugs and the less features told me to switch AOKP.
AOKP is good, but not as good at the rest. It's sometimes unstable and the booting time is just way too long.
I dont need thousands of features, but what I need are the notification switches (so important for my daily life!)
Any recommendations to me? And ofc, it must be FAST and STABLE.

You must be mistaken me with someone else. And the other threads I found are not really up-to-date and ROM-developing is very fast nowadays so I cant test them all... and that's why I aked.
I'll try out PAC and Jelly Sandwich or Ultimate HD
But I dont like to have too many features... Simple and clean is the best :good:
I have Tried so many ROMs so far but I came back to Stock ics .587 with Night-elf 1.5 kernel+ Holo camera also few other tweaks and I am fine with it. I really love stock Rom and with a few mod its the best for me.
I tried several ROMs:
*Stock ICS from Sony (two days)
*Spacious Smooth & Light ICS (four weeks)
*Icecream Pureness Build 13 (several days)
* JellySandwich 6.2.5, 7.3 and 7.4 (as of the middle of October)
So far JellySandwich 6.2.5 is the fastest I ever tested and worth a try. Some bugs though: No LED notification 2G-toggle-bug and "Xperia Home has stopped"-bug. But these don't count very much, everything else is running fine!
It's even faster than 7.3 and 7.4! These versions do not seem to be stable yet...

Then I wanted to use your new "Xperia Home"-patch. Unfortunately the link sends me to the "Mediafire" homepage. Maybe you could fix that link or send me the correct URL. I would like to eliminate that bug too.

You don't have to search best rom you may fall in to conclusion.
day by day every Rom is keeps on improving. Devs are doing every bit of best. We are not suppose to say this is the best or that. every rom has its own good feature.
choose a Rom which suits you best it depends on how you use daily basis and how it attracts you..

It's even faster than 7.3 and 7.4! These versions do not seem to be stable yet...

@Dev, I am a noob. Having Neo V running .587 rooted & with locked bootloader. Used x-parts to install cwm and then installed Jelly Sandwitch rom. It was a success but after rebooting stuck at Sony logo. Could not go to recovery when I tried booting the phone again (I had to remove battery to switch off). After reading the steps once again, I find that probably I missed "Flash kernel modules via cwm". If that is true, how it is to be done? x-part has no such option and rom manager did not do that? Pl help.
