can someone PLEASE tell me what this symbol is!?!? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

so i went to send a text like normal and i noticed this symbol i hadnt seen before. i thought it was something i just always overlooked. until i went login to something, and instead of a normal bullet point to hide the password, this symbol has replaced it. no matter what im logging into. it shows up no matter what keyboard im using. its just really weird, it kinda looks like a coffin with with wings and a letter N in the middle..if someone can let me know i would greatly appreciate it. im not signing in to anything until i find out!

[Q] (Req) Yellow theme!!!

Hey guys so ever since the Watchmen theme back in the old days on my G2, I have been in love with yellow themes. And with the vibrants screen, I would love to see a yellow theme kind of like this one

Also tuton, the other issue is no one has been able to figure out how to change the color of the clock numbers without causing all sorts of trouble, so a yellow status bar wouldn't look that great at the moment.

I definitely haven't tried! I know you'd been working on it and I thought you had some help too. I've been watching that thread because I really like the vanilla look. Oh well, heh.

3$ on my lock screen and notification bar.

I woke up this morning and noticed that $3 characters were on my phone. Anyone know what they mean? pictures below.

That's where your network should be. Try restarting and pulling your sim.
do you owe Tmobile $3 or something?
Maybe they trying to tell you something lol.
But for real, that's the strangest thing i've seen....

u have 3$ credit/refund w/TM...............roflmao
My first thought when I see the pic is that you're on the ****tiest carrier I can imagine lol, $3 how odd. That'd be the carrier you'd be afraid if your friends found out you were on, and they'd realize how cheap you are.
Odd...if pulling the sim/battery and rebooting doesn't fix it...I'm totally lost.

Green haze in text box

Where would one go to remove this?

Yes this, and I apologize for the late response. I thought this thread went dead. Thank you for the info georgegreco86.
tbh i like the green haze lol. matches all the other green i have going on.
That's like the one that's in the new Bionix rom. I was told it was intended.
Really bothered me.
Its in framework-res.apk. there are like 5imgs for it called textfield selected.png or something like that.

When I get home tonight I am going to play around with it. I liked it when I had a Gingerbread theme going on my phone but w/Splash of Color it clashes for me.
While we are at it, what are the frame images called? I might just go all creative here lol.

Nav POV changed, not sure how to restore

Over the past week or two, the orientation of my navigation has changed from "third person view" to an overhead shot of the maps that don't rotate as I am driving. I am just a little arrow that moves around the map.
I've tried looking in the settings for some sort of option to go back to the third person view, but I sure can't figure out how to do it. Anyone able to offer a trip on this?

I understand the "Bad" view is just the settings screen where you can select alternate routes, etc, but that's how it appears as I am driving in the main nav screen.

Do you see the carrier iq in HTC setup wizzard apk. This needs to be disabled. I'll give it a shot once I have some free time. I hate these spying crap. Why can't they just leave us alone

Thanks for finding it!
A bold move on their part after last time.
its easily removed
just delete the permission from the manifest file of the apk
possibly somin left over from long long ago in that thing that never got fully wiped out.... otherwise we likely would of found out much more of it by now...

This was my first thought too.
Hopefully there's nothin fishy going on here and that they've learned their lesson....that's likely just inactive leftovers.

Yeah the thing was so dang deep on the OS I wouldn't be the least surprised if bits and pieces are other places... Nothing causing actual harm but still there to an extent..
