Just got my second hand S3 today, just checked it over and noticed there is a crack in the rear white casing next to the camera, it's basically on the bottom right corner of the bevel around the camera area around 2mm in size. Anyone else had this?
The device has had a qubits rear cover on similar to this, i'm wondering if it might have put some pressure on that area

Any thoughts?

Had my SG2 for a couple of days and I noticed a gap on front, top and bottom which makes it look very cheap. The case surround is slightly too big at the top and bottom yet the sides are sealed.
I don't have a camera just now so can't take pictures of it but will try to get some soon.
Anyone else noticed it or maybe it's a manufacturing defect with my phone?
Yes search its been posted here .

yep and annoying thing is that dust and particles gut stuck!
Noticed this on my GS2 also. Is it normal for there to be a gap? It's attracting quite a bit of dust.

Sides are sealed?
My sides have the gap too?? Or what do you mean?
As the title says, there is a slight gap in the body casing that runs for about 2 inches along the same edge where the charging port and hdmi port is located. It's between the edge of the screen and the plastic just big enough that I can slip paper about the thickness of 2 sheets of paper.
This is my second Atrix that I bought after market new in box because my carrier doesn't have them anymore. Other than this physical defect it works fine. My main concern is dust or lint getting under the screen. I'm wondering if that is an issue? Or is there another layer inside the phone that I can't see that comes between the screen and the chassis?
Was bored and decided to try and pry open the glass on the front of my X10 (bad idea, I know) and eventually the top half of the glass screen came off, but the bottom was still attached to a small, bronze colored metal strip. The screen then cracked (small crack) in the bottom left corner.
See first picture attachment (1060)- This is what I initially did.
At this point I decided to put the screen back on and only the bottom half or so of the touch screen was working, nothing that I did on the top part responded.
Attempting to fix this, I decided to take the entire front glass off and try to clean the digitizer as some finger oil, etc. had gotten on. In the process, I believe that I may have broken the same, metal strip (the one that is always attached to the front glass in pictures, etc.).
See second picture attachment (1061)
Is there any way to fix this somehow? I've tried aligning the bronze strip with the part on the digitzer but the touch screen doesn't work at all now.
The display itself seems to be fine and from what I know about touch screens, the metal strip is what transfers that the transparent conductor on the glass itself, so I'll only have to replace the front glass/metal strip right?
.
heh..I did same thing with my X10...I think there is no solution for this, you can only put new touch screen.

Hmmmm..... it's clear that the gap between camera lens and plastic rectangular bump should be filled to prevent intrusion of dust,,,,,
For all new Curtana users
Just apply a macro(small) drop of glue and rub it along sides of lens and let it dry for few min. it may make a seal to prevent dust from going inside ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, just a small drop , better use a transparent glue
For those users having dust inside camera lens
Use a strong jet of air , don't use HOT air it may damage internals (sometimes jet nozzle is available with vaccum pump) and blow it in all the 4 sides of rectangular lens this may help. Else go to Authorised Mi service center
This is a poll for CURTANA u may participate ?

Now with broken nothing can be done
teardown your phone and find a Curtana glass protector (Amazon, Flipkart, Alibaba) and fix it in place for original camera lens( might be a hard process)
Or

Is there any photo for the guide?

everyone concerned should have a look at this thread. apparently there is a gap between top-glass and the plastic camera hump with the worst gap in top right corner (main camera corner) and a smaller gap in bottom left corner supposedly letting dust through.
i took some macro shots of the four corners of mine.
both images are of the SAME worst top-right hand corner gap of my phone in slightly different angles . one seemingly has a gap other doesnt. visually its very tricky to find the gap, i would advise trying slotting the gap with a thin paper to find one if there is. i tried and could'nt. maybe it is fixed in the new ones, only time would tell.
the only proper solution i can think of is wicking some glue into the gaps with a piece of paper
Hi everyone, it really not bothers me too much so I am not replacing it, but wanted to confirm with others if they had the same issue (or if this is normal/to be expected). When I opened my S23 Ultra packaging and removed the films I noticed a few vertical stripes on the sides of the phone, except the left side. One on the top, two on the right side and two on the bottom. They are not irregular, it is like a pattern, i.e. they are equally distanced from left and right edge of the phone at the bottom, as well as on the right side (all closer to the side edges than the center). It is just difference in the color and standing like a stripe of a darker tint.
I am wondering if this could be result of the packaging process or maybe they didn't wait enough time when assembling and packaging the phone. Anyone else observed this on their S23 Ultra? I can post photos however have already applied an extra tempered glass that covers the screen's curved edges too and a hard-to-remove case below it so do not want to risk bubbles, etc.
Many thanks.
Don't see anything like that on mine... Picture of it could help a lot what to look for...
Are you sure this wasn't the clear protective stickers that are around the edges of the phone, which need to be peeled off?
I removed these when I've got the phone. Here are some photos taken with the case, the stripe-like deviations are still visible though subtle. I may be wrong but have the feeling there was some kind of a film, plastic or paper attached to the phone's frame (or else) before they placed it in the box for packaging; it's like it was not yet ready (dry), but I may be wrong.
I think you are talking about signal antennas. It's completely normal.
It's normal - antennas. Even every phones with metal frame looks similar.
Yep it is antennas..
