[Q] PS3 controller - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi guys, new Xperia S owner as of today. Was wondering if there is any way to force the PS3 controller to connect to the S via bluetooth, since I have a way to edit the MAC address that the PS3 controller will be paired with.
Basically, I need a way to add the PS3 controller manually to the phone, since it doesn't see it.
Or alternatively, maybe what I'm doing is pointless, since I don't even know if 2.3.7 has the drivers needed =)

[Q] PS3 controller does not work

So I bought yesterday a ps3 controller for my TF
But when I tried to pair between them its keep telling me
to enter a passkey in the controller....how the hell I can
enter a passkey with a gamepad
I tried with sixaxis but its still does not work
Can someone please help me
By default usually 0000 or 1234, or you can use Sixaxis Controller is better
PS3 controllers only shares its passkey over usb connection. Once you connect it once over usb it will pair again in the future. (Its the reason the PS3 system always tells you to connect the controller via usb)
download and run the sixaxis pair tool here: http://www.dancingpixelstudios.com/sixaxiscontroller/tool.html
connect your ps3 gamepad via usb to a pc, and change the bluetooth address in the program to the one you have on your tf (search for bluetooth address finder in play store if you don't know your tf's bt mac address).
After it has completed the pair process, just turn on bt on the tf, and press the ps button on your gamepad. It should work.
I just got my tab today and was wondering does the controller connects via bluetooth w/ this app and doesnt matter what ROM youre on.

PS3 controller on Atrix 4g 2.3 Gingerbread without root possible?

Is it possible to use a PS3 controller without root? I already have the SixaxisPairTool, but it only works with root.
I used to own a TF101 and would just plug the PS3 controller straight into the dock thru usb or turn bluetooth on and it would work fine. Albeit that was probably because of the ICS drivers, but is this possible?
I can't understand why the Wii Remote is possible without root, the app basically makes the wiimote into a bluetooth keyboard, why can't the same be done with a PS3 controller without root?

I have a guide for the ps3 controller hack in my signature. But the app you mentioned is the same one in the guide is only for ROOT access. I have it written for a Samsung Galaxy SIII. So keep those two things in mind when reading the guide.
Root is a must for this hack for any phone.

ps3 controller

Hi
Trying to pair my Sixaxis controller to my stock S3 running ICS 4.0.4.
Im aware of the sixaxis app and have had a play with that but Ive been told the S3 supports it as stock now.
Turning on Bluetooth and scanning it finds the PLAYSTATION(R) Controller
When I try and pair it asks for a PIN, then fails - I tried 0000 and 1234
Am I missing something or do you still need to do it all via the sixaxis app (which I had working a few months ago - when rooted)
Thanks
As far as I know you need to match the blue tooth addresses by connecting them, either via pc or an otg cable.

Yea, I matched them with Sixaxis for the PC and set Bluetooth address the same...
I thought they were supported out of the box per-se now though on S3 as standard without messing around setting bluetooth addresses.
Get the sixaxis app on play store

make sure you get the sixaxis app in the playstore. I got 3 .apk in the web and all of them doesn't pair my controller then I try to purchase one in play store and boom it connects in 3 seconds.

Stabilising Bluetooth address?

Basically my problem is I'm using a Uhost2 Android TV stick and using my Ps3 controller with the SixAxis App and I change the BT address on the controller using my Pc or SGS3 because the Uhost2 doesn't have proper OTG so can't do that and the controller works fine, But for whatever reason every time I start the SixAxis App it shows a different BT address and have to pair the controller again where I don't need to do that on SGS3 or any other Android device I ever used. And I tried factory reseting but looks like it's an inherent problem with device, So does anyone know any way to keep the BT set to a single address?

[B170] After update No reaction of XBOX360 wireless controller

Hello Guys!
I hope somebody can help me with this problem.
I want to use my xbox360 wireless controller with my Honor 7, but after I've updated to the newest B170 firmware, I don't get any recognition in games.
On B140 I was able to control the UI with my controller, but now nothing happens. I think they forgot to implement the support for xbox controllers...
Is anybody out there who can try to use his/her xbox wireless controller?
And is there any way to inform Honor about this bug?
I would not like to see this bug in marshmallow too...
best wishes

I used my USB-OTG cable to connect my phone with the xbox 360 usb receiver.
It's the same device I plug into my pc to play games with my wireless controller
Hey, I have an answer to this,
1. You need an app called USB/BT JoyCenter Free. Download the apk somewhere online. I'm using version 3.0100
2. Plug in your XBOX360 wireless to your phone using the USB OTG adapter.
3. Open the app, inside, top left, switch the IME to ON and choose the USBJoyFreeIME as your input methods
4. In the app, click on SEARCH NORM and it will start scanning for the controller. When it scans just click on the box that appears. Your controller should connect to your phone now.
Apps that are suitable would be emulators, I normally use this method for PPSSPP emulator. Hope this helps
