Flashing HTC EVO 3D to virginmobile - HTC EVO 3D

Hey, I will get used htc evo 3d soon, and I would like to know if I can flash it to virginmobile. I know its possible because they run off the same connection. Please, can anybody help me with this? And where should I go or what website should I go to? Thanks.

Its possible. But its illegal and nothing illegal should be talked in xda. Period.

Yes, I believe you have 2 options:
1. Take it to a virgin Mobile store and ask them.
2. Trade it for the evo v 4g, which is already on virgin Mobile.

Search and you will find a thread about how you have to change something that is illegal to change since Virgin only lets their phones on their network. Other prepaid carriers like Boost let you use your own phone if you set it up correctly, but Virgin does not.

Best way to unlock photon and keep 4G

I have a rooted photon, and am wanting to go the unlock route, but cant be without my 4G. According to reading on here, unlocking breaks 4G, unless you take the "long road". Is there any other way to do this, I have not been able to find the method that superseded the "long road". Any help will be great appreciated.
Section 8
I don't know about 4G, but if you want it unlocked, give it to any brother standing on the corner in the hood named "Bones" or "Smokey!" (They will also unlock car, house and any other security measures in place!!
Not possible. Unlock= No 4G as of now.

The "Long road" you mean is most likely from a while ago with Alien Rom where you could unlock, flash the Rom, create a backup of the rom, relock then use Bootstrap to flash your backup you made of the Rom. And then you would have a locked bootloader (4g working) AND be on a custom Rom, however you couldn't use a custom kernel so no overclock or kernel tweaks. Most of the newer Roms won't work to do that with, as far as im aware. There are locked Roms like Rocko and a few other that allow you to use Bootstrap and maintain your 4g though, they just won't provide the full experience that a full Rom with custom kernels do.

From what I have seen and read following the ICS threads for multiple variations is that until Motorola releases ICS keys... we are all SOL on the 4g. Once they do (which most people project will be by June) the devs will work it in as soon as possible. I do miss 4g a bit.. but ICS after the unlock is worth it to me over 4g.
IMO it is worth it to lose 4g. Im unlocked on cm9 ics and it is the best rom so far. a few bugs but thats something i can live with
I was running CM9 for a bit, but after a series of unfortunate events, i was forced to flash back to stock. I had all intents to unlock again, but the speed of 4g is just so nice! that is, if you are in a 4g area. i haven't gone back to unlocking the BL for about a month.
I live in an area without 4g so it was easy for me to decide to unlock. I'm running cm9 and couldn't be happier. I can't wait till 4g gets fixed tho. Rumor is wimax is getting switched to LTE and we will be able to use the Verizon 4g service.

The photon won't be able to use LTE, it is only designed for WiMax - so if you don't have 4g now, you won't until you buy one of the LTE phones coming out for Sprint.

Shabby, Joker, DeedScreen and a few others clarified this back in November. Its a dead horse. This phone does NOT have a LTE Radio. No software or drivers will change that!!
If you go to the FTC website, they have pictures of open Photon with arrorws pointing to the interworking?

Do you need someone to make a zip out of the linked file? Or you need a developer to make an app for you? I guess I'm not 100% on what you're asking for. Not being a **** dude, I assume there's a language barrier, and probably the reason you don't have many replies is no one is really sure what you need.

Juste someone add on evo 3d rom the eap-sim compatibility! Please
Tranks
You may need a custom kernel for this to actually work on a gsm device, even if you find a rom developer that will or can make this compatible with your device.
Check with some of the gsm rom devs in the gsm section, and look around for the custom kernels and pm one. You're asking for some pretty advanced work

I don't remember this feature in gingerbread. I thought it was only in custom roms... Either way, I'd also love to see this.
From what I've gathered, it's in the works. But, the devs are having problems with the coding? I remember one discussion of the code being present in Gingerbread but not in ICS.

It was a built in feature of gingerbread, was even one of the things they demonstrated during the gingerbread presentation. The reason you may think it was special for custom roms is that most carrier stock roms disabled it for whatever reason.

OK, here is another question: I being watching some of the PRO's and CON's of ICS for my EVO 3D (youtube videos), maybe is not good idea to upgrade to ICS get rid of the phone, get a new one with the new OS, move to Samsung phone. Like I said I could get out of the contract for $70.00 and get a new 2 year contract.
Sell this one as it is, and avoid the head pain someone created for me.
Any suggestion?

[GUIDE] How To S-OFF, Unlock, Install Custom Recovery-ALL IN ONE!! HTC EVO 3D (CDMA)

After hours of mess ups I've finally created a COMPLETE (extremely detailed) video (guide) on how to To S-OFF, Unlock, Install Custom Recovery for the HTC EVO 3D (CDMA). There are 4 different parts. The first 2 parts are for the users that have already unlocked boot loader, installed recovery and a ROM. If this is your first time doing any of this to your stock HTC evo 3d (CDMA) then you can skip to part 3. In each video there will be a link in the description for the next part. I hope this works for everyone that watches it and please like, sub. And pass it on to others who need help with this! Thanks again to everyone who has helped me s-off my phone and do all i have done to it today! I LOVE XDA!! Please let me know of anything you don't understand or any problem you run in to (if you do).
Also, the videos might seem long I just want to assure that your HTC EVO 3D is s-off, unlocked, and recovery installed. Please watch all 4 parts and your phone will be all of this!
I am using windows and only know how to do this for (WINDOWS).
Link to part 1 [GUIDE]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfgar9Flb_c
Please keep this thread Alive as long as possible! Thanks!
I will try this week to look over all of the videos again and create a text [GUIDE] as well.
