hey guys.i have bouht a new sgs2 preloaded with ics..it plays most of the games good but has trouble with few hd games..
i tried spiderman total mayhem and gangtar miami vindication
both work for sometime and then crash...what is the trouble with these games?do i need some aditional software or rom or something?

Maybe those games doesn't support ics, yet...few games do tend to have problem with ics..

i hav d non g version and yeh seems so..some games are not supported yet..so bad of a big company like gameloft :/
Have you even contacted them for support? Why would you come to XDA for support of Gameloft games?

Root it and try over clocking to 1400mhz

the problem is that almost all the games that have dual analog stick config are crashing.... i tried nova,spiderman,splintr cell and many others...
they work flawlessly for 5-10 min and then stop working...
please someone let me know the solutio

yeah i do have modern combat sandstorm for our screen version even at 600 mhz you can play nicely but if you prefer to run it totaly smooth run at 729 mhz OC!
Where can you get a working need for speed apk for the optimus v? Or p500 if that one would work.

hello i have rooted optimus one (stock 2.3.3 V20B) .
I am trying to play HD games like asphalt 6,but its says "srry this video cannot be played" and then "force close",i have also tried samurai 2 and assasins creed but nothing works
So i read somewhere flashing new rom and kernel and overlocking may play these games.Is this right?
If so can anyone please suggest the best ROM/KERNEL for me.
Did you over clock it? I think you should get a rom with over clocking (I use openoptimus)and download an overclocking app like CPU masters (its free) to speed it up

Ummm.. I don't know who gave you that idea, but rooting will not help you play HD games. Also, Asphalt 6 is not supported by our phone. And even if you overclock it, you must understand that our phone is not a 1 GHz Nexus S, so some HD games will never work on P500. So if you try other games and they don't work, consider it as an unsupported game and don't post here about the installation failure.
PSlease read up on the sticky threads. They are here specifically to help newbies.

I think the main reason that the HD game doesnt work is the small screen res we have now... We are only using HVGA, while those HD games are meant for something like WVGA or qHD...
I am playing GRave Defence HD and Fieldrunners HD without problems. But most HD games are not meant for our Optimus One. You'll have to accept that...

Hi! I have android 2.3.4 and i installed Splinter Cell Conviction and Brothers in Arms 2 but those two have black textures. In splinter cell the water,light,people and sam textures are fine but the builgins and floor are black. In BIA2 all the textures are dark. Which could be the problem? Thank you in advance!

EDIT: Assassin's Creed blacks out after intro video. I force kill the game and tells me that i have to download 4 mb. I do that and the same thing.

Gangstar: Miami Vindication HD is lagging like a peace of ****!
(on stock 2.3.2, i haven't tried it on overclocked 2.3.3 or stock 2.3.4)
Strange! I a friend of mine with xperia neo had the same problem like you even with 2.3.3 but i did not have any problem with that game in 2.3.2 or 2.3.3.

i think it is because you have diffrent versions,
like for htc or sasmung you can sometime choose...
Have yet to try the games u say are having problems.
Maybe contact Cameloft about this?

If you install Chainfire3D and execute de Game with this, you won't have this problem of black textures.

Me too (off-market downloaded at least)
I have WiFi though? The problems with WiFi are from doomlords kernel but if u root with rootxperia u have root with no bugs. Only thing really that is missing is overclocking.

@electricbluejase yeah you were right, i did that yesterday with ClockworkMod Recovery,
and installed chainfire3d but i still have the same problem with gangstar 1....
I hAve tried almost all Gameloft games, and they run very smoothly,including latest hit - 9mm=)
Have yet to try many gameloft games, tried a few on a stock neo, 2.3.4 with root, no oc and no chainfire3d and they work very well already, wanting to try the 9mm one. is gangstar 1 the only one that has issues? no other gameloft games?

for me it is only on gangstar 1
Interesting that gangstar 2 is working better then number 1 but that is good to know that it's no other games that are having any issues.

try the Need For Speed Hot Pursuit for Adreno version. it worked for me
it's a matter of GPU (graphic processing unit)

I bought Asphalt from the Market, and somehow they managed to screw it up -_- had to get a refund.
After installing, opened the game and got a nice message that said: "Your phone is not compatible with Asphalt6".
Bought Need For Speed: Shift too, and after downloading like 5 times the data, all I get is corrupted graphics. No refund on this one tho
Try NFS:shift. It costs 0,10$ untill tomorow, and i find it awesome! No problems at all for me

Asphalt works great for me I got that nfs shift wot a game for the 10p price tag can't moan. Pro evolution 11 n 12 works great samurai 2 is a great game and works perfect there's loads I haven't come across a game that hasn't worked yet

I tried Nova 3 and Asphalt 7 and they worked.
