I have been using the RAZR XT910 for over a month now. Lately I've been facing this problem of : 'There is insufficient space on this device', whenever I try installing an application from the market. My phone has over 3.5GBs of installation memory still free. Dowloaded APKs install fine. What could possibly be the problem that is hindering the installation of market applications? Kindly suggest a remedy soon. Thank you developers.!!

I've had this problem before, occurs usually as a cause of com.(appname).ODEX files in the root of your device`s system/app. Lucky Patcher fixes this for you but you need to be rooted
hey mate I have the same problem check my thread if u can find anything that suits you. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709970
I am still not rooted but I will root when ICS arrives so I haven't tested any of these suggestions yet
justcookiesncream : I am rooted, I got Lucky Patcher installed. What now?

Not sure what the problem is but you could always make a backup hard-reset and see if the problem is still there, you can use AppExtractor to restore programs from the CWM backup.
Performed a hard reset. The problem still persists.. What next? Please provide an alternative, guys!! Thank u.

I have the same problem and I am waiting for ICS in hope for fix...
hmmm maybe try
1) Wipe Dalvik cache via CWM + clear market data via the stock App Manager?
2) Uninstall any market updates and perhaps try again?
3) I'll try think of other solutions in meantime..
Try clearing the data for the market app and see if that might help. It's possibly a cache issue.
Have you installed a LOT of apps over the past month or so?
Mobzter : Thank you for the suggestion and thank you to all the members above for their suggestions!!
I have been able to fix the problem, in the meantime...
1)Downgraded to 2.3.5 using SPYDER Fastboot ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362956
2)Manually upgraded to 2.3.6 (and not via MotoHelper interface) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1534729
3)Rooted : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1492965
No 'Insufficient Storage' problems so far, hoping for the best!
Others can try the above method too!! Can't guarantee for any permanent fixes though, but I think this'll work..

I tried all possible ways of clearing caches and uninstalling updates (market), but nothing helped!! Moreover, I do not have much apps installed (just about 25?). I guess problem might have originated while upgrading to 2.3.6 over the internet...
Look at my post above. I suggested a possible fix for the problem!! Worked for me.
If you have any gameloft games or games in general (like N.O.V.A 3 etc big games) I recommend this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.slf.ListglApp&hl=sv
you need to be rooted!
Motorola razr v
I have a Moto RAZR V, running Android 4.0.4. I rooted, and alls good, cept I can't install barely any apps due to "Insufficient" space... A 320KB app won't install, but Amazing Alex HD will
I have 1.4GB free on my 2GB internal storage... and I can't access my 32GB UHS-1 SD card for app storage at all... Anyone care to help?
Oh, and before you say "Wipe the cache" and "Install Lucky Patcher"... I've done the former, the latter won't install, same "Space" issue.
PLEASE HELP!

Won't install. Insufficient space. (75K app )
Is there some way to manually install an app?
Did I mention that my phone WILL NOT work with any form of App2SD? Like, it is literally DISABLED.
EDIT: Fixed the "Insufficient space" issue, but still can't App-2-SD.
How did I fix?
1. Downloaded Link2SD (root)
2. Clicked Menu > Settings
3. Tapped "Install Location" > Automatic
4. Installed APK from Store/Download, no issue anymore.
Happens to me all the time on my nexus 7 tablet, you need to download and run luckypatcher

To get GoogleMarket on your ARNOVA 7 G2 you can use the files for the ARNOVA 10 G2!
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum...droid-market-without-root-on-latest-firmware/
Extract the files, transfer the files and then install the apks using file manager in this order:
1.Google Services Framework
2.OneTime Initializer
3.Setup Wizard
4.Talk
5.Gmail
6.Vending
1) After installing all the G Market files go try to login to Gmail. You will get an error.
2) Now go into settings and manage apps. Click on Google framework. Clear the cache files.
3) Do the same thing for Gmail and clear the cache.
4) Power down and back up.
5) DONT launch the market but launch Gmail and login. It should work.
6) Now you can launch the Market.

Confirmed, i just did this to my coby tablet day before yesterday so figured id give it a try on the arnova, u dont have to clear the cache, as soon as u finish installing all the gapps, just power down, reboot, and launch a gapp. loggin and all is good
i get the cannot establish a reliable data connection message
Did u do it as stated above? U have to install framework and stuff too

Hy there,
Using the market for 1 week now on my 7g2. IT seems there is a problem with framework.apk, cause after installing the internal Memory on the 7g2 is only 208 MB. It seems that internal mount points have changed... Waiting for a Firmware from archos
Gesendet von meinem HD2 mit Tapatalk
That's just the internal memory...the 8gb storage is used as an sd card basically...if u run out of internal mem, manage apps and move them to sd...
Sent from my AN7BG2DT using XDA App
if ull look thru ur 8gb storage, there is a folder, called sdcard...all app data can be stored there

Will this method work on the Arnova 7c G2 3G model?
See no reason it would not

This didn't work...
I did everything as said:
- Downloaded the apps
- Transferred all dir to my sdcard
- Installed the apps in the prescribed order
- Logged on to Gmail, got the error
- Cleared Data (not cache... there was no cache files) files from the prescribed apps.
- Reboot
- Logged on on to Gmail and I got the same error: "Can't establish reliable connection"
In the archive that I downloaded there was other files such as framework/*, lib/*, permission/*.
I transferred all of them along with the app/* to the sdcard and installed the apps from the app directory.
My device is the Arnova 7c G2 3G
Any help?
Lol...uninstall everything...reinstall everything same order. Don't launch anything. Power down, reboot...launch a gapp ,login and u should be up and running. I did not use the files the OP used, I used the ones from an earlier install to a coby tab

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post links, so if it gets removed search YouTube for "how to install android market on coby kyros 7022" by daprospecta. It's the first link in the description. Called g tablet.zip. if ull watch the video and follow it to a tee, u should have no problems. After install DO NOT CLEAR CACHE OR DATA FOR ANY APPS!! simply power down and reboot. Then open a gapp login and all should be fine

If all else fails, back all pics/music up to ur sdcard or pc... format ur NAND memory, do a factory restore then retry the process from a fresh system... good luck

Hi nazull
I also have the Arnova 7c G2 and have followed ALL your previous instructions including the ones via YouTube and it still won't work!!
I still get the error message "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server". And yes the Wifi IS enabled and working.
Grrrr! It's sooo frustrating. Why do Google feel the need to prevent us from just downloading apps? I don't get it. Why not just let us access apps via the Market website?
Also worth mentioning is that this tablet has GPS but NO Google Maps or any other mapping software ... what the heck is the point??!!
Thanks in advance.
So, I've been unable to find any threads on this so I don't know if this is a common problem or not. My phone is rooted but I'm not quite sure if I'm using a mod, if I am it's a clockwork mod or something, I honestly don't remember what I used to mod it cause it was months ago. Anyways, I'm having problems downloading certain applications from the Google Store. It downloads it then when it's about to install it gives me an Error saying, "Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card" and it only does this with certain apps, I'm able to download and install or update a lot of applications but it only does this to certain apps, I've tried turning my phone on and off, that does nothing, I would turn off my phone and take everything out but I'm not quite sure if that would work either.
I was wondering if there's a solution to this because I'm trying to download a new theme for my GO Launcher EX and it keeps telling me I cannot download it, it's done it to games that I've had before too, it's really weird.
Glad to know that none of you can help me.

I also had this problem when i am new to android.i definitely know that u don't use any aap 2 sd script and use default app2sd.go to your sd card(do it in pc) then go to folder .android-secure and delete a file (i don't remember the name of file)which extension is different of all file.
The market fix thing don't work. And the only app2sd app I have is with android assistant app.

hey guys
I'm using CM9 Unofficial Rom I downloaded here at XDA and started having the problem of insufficient space, modified so that all installations were made in external sdcard, but besides not making installations in the external, also can not move apps to the using external programs since they are not external sD.
showed that one of the programs I'm using an emulated sd (you may be using the webtop by partition).
Anyone have any tips to solve this? I liked the CM9, I would not have to re-stock
sorry for my english. Gtt
thnx
already found out about the limitation of the second partition.
installed on the first partition and I'm having the same problem.
I need help because it already formatted both cards also cleaned all the caches and wipes ... but nothing is working.
You converted the Rom?
I got it on 1st System and all fine here :good:
Got Max Payne & Co installed, so enough Space i guess.

yes
I converted in bootmenu
If I uninstall a program can not install the same program.
and if I change the installation path, do not install anything else.
complains that do not have enough space.
after the error,
managed to install major mayhem and Real Racing 2.
no problem, but I'm trying to reinstall FPSE (PSX emu) and not install, error no space, then try to install any other program and runs normally
irrespective of size.
I realize that if you uninstall the program can not install again.
You're using an actual release? CDMA or GSM?

hello!
i got an lg optimus 4x hd which has worked pretty fine along with the ICS 4.0.3.
A few days ago I noticed that suddenly, I were not longer able to install aps from "unknown sources". the box is checked in settings, but there is no way to install external software.
i can tell you which apps are running in background (because i ve read that intelliscreen-app has been reported to cause this error, too):
-settings
-k9-mail
-setcpu
-handcent sms
-taschenlampe
-temp+cpuv2
-business calendar
-lux
-dropbox
-mail
-greenpower premium
-software update (LG)
-google services
-wetter
-swift key 3
and none of them has changed in the last few days, i have deleted every single new app I had installed before.
does anyone know more?

Could someone help me? I faced this problem after I removed Google Play Services, cause I didn't know that it is neccessary for Foursquare. After FS told me this info at the next start of the app, I reinstalled Play Services but FS have never worked anymore... It stops right after the start of the app. I wiped everything (factory reset, cache, dalvik), removed every related data and FS, but none of them helped... (( This was with version 2013.04.02. If I downgrade to the february version, it works again, but if I update to one of the april version, it stops again and again... :'( I would be very grateful if someone could help me, I ran out of ideas. :/
