How many battery cycles have you been through? Try to reset the fuel gage chip in extweaks app

i know people like siyah and stuff, but for me its far more headachs.... flash a stock kernel and see if your freezes go away.
removing battery does drops battery percent its normal for S2

Hello again,
Tried to reset fail gauge, and then after a 100% charge to reset battery stats...
Can you give me more suggestions then flashing a stock kernel?

Guy is having hangups, what good will resetting fuel gauge do?
OP
change the ROM or change the kernel. Simple!

Cpu spy is showing 12 hours of deep sleep (50% of total), is it ok?

Have u tried wiping the battery stats in recovery mode?

Have you calibrated your battery (cleared battery stats)?
I always use BatteryCalibration app from the Market after flashing a new ROM.
Otherwise the system needs to adapt the correct battery power to the old stats which may differ from the values in the new ROM.
BTW, I just flashed a new ROM yesterday, discharged my phone down to 12%, then fully charged the battery up to 100%, started BatteryCalibration app, hit the calibrate button, disconnected the power cable and turned the phone off last night.
This morning, the battery indicator showed exactly 1% less than yesterday evening.
I think that's Ok.

Removing battery causes a huge drain !!!

Hey guys if I remove my battery and let's say I was on 80 % it will drain all the way to 50% . Any suggestions???

Search: I9100 fuel gauge.
Too lazy? Ignore it.
looool it's not drain but the battery data in the phone is wiped just live it for 10-20 minute it will back to normal
Just tried removing my battery to see what happens. Was on 80%, removed the battery and the screen went blank.
Now it won't turn back on

Don't worry, just relax.... put the battery back in and fix the back cover back on. Should work now!

No. I just turned the device on and off and that is what happened. If I put it on the charger it counts up from the lower figure. The only time it seams to notice something is wrong is when I use it and the battery figure either doesn't go down, or goes up, leading to a very amusing battery chart.

You may have to flash another rom . What rom are you on now???

You are probably using a kernel which uses the battery gauge chip instead of the inbuilt battery meter. This behaviour would be quite normal on such a setup. I am using Siyah kernel and the battery level always goes up when I don't use the phone for a while. Yes, the battery chart looks funny! The overall battery life is just fine anyway.

To fix the issue on Siyah Kernel, download ExTweaks off the play store, and then reset the fuel gauge chip.
Chris.
kernel?
what is your kernel?
I am using Resurrection Remix ics v1.8.1[4.0.4] with the CM9 Kernel. But it was doing this before when I had Rooted Stock Rom. It may of been the Kernel in that case as well, but I have no idea what Kernel I was using at the time.
Try Siyah
Try with siyah kernel, is stable, faster and for me the battery life is very good

I will give it a shot after 1.9 Update. See if the update does anything. Thanks for the advice though.

[Q] batterty issue with ics (4.0.3) anyone can help ?

batterty issue with ics (4.0.3)
i charged my phone battery to 100%
and i leave the phone and go to sleep , and then when i woke up , i found out my phone 0% battery life
i dont understand !!!!
Are you rooted?
Get the Better Battery Stats app which will check if your phone is going into deep sleep and if not what's causing wake locks. If you're not familiar with wake locks,I suggest you search for threads pertaining to it on this forum and read up.
Also get an app that'll check your battery voltage. (Most battery calibration apps do this and are free) if at full charge your phone isn't around 4100-4200 mAh, then its probably your battery that's dying out.

Battery calibration for stock phone

Hi. A friend of mine has an unrooted GS2 (android 4.0.3, baseband JJLP8) For a week now he has been having serious battery problems. Like when he uses his camera the battery can drop 30% ina few minutes...
A few places that i checked suggested to reset the fuel gauge chip using an app like extweaks. But because the phone has stock rom & kernel thos kind of apps dont work.
What can i do withous first rooting his device?
Thanks, shlomo

You can't 'calibrate' the battery. No such thing.
Charge to 100%, use the phone.

Battery drain even when phone is off

My battery (original) drains even wen the phone is off. First i tought that my battery was broken. I bought a new accu (original) but i got the same results. After about 8 hours ive got 15% less juice and the phone was off. What could this be?
I am on NeatRom 4.0

Try to 'callibrate' your battery, and see if gives you the same results or if it's fixed: Charge your battery to 100% - turn off your phone - remove your battery for about a minute - replace your battery - turn on your phone.

I think that it may be caused by the internal GT-I9100 Battery Fuel Gauge chip, you should ask a service center, often problems like this are because of internal battery chip failing at equilibrating charges between battery cells.
You should also try to reflash a stock samsung rom (like XXLSJ) using odin, so if there's any software problem it should solve it

Thanx for the reply. I was afraid it would be a internal chip thingy. I have dropt my phone a few times this year maybe that triggerd it.. So the only thing i can do is go to the service center to let it be repaird.
