I've owned a SGS2 for two months now and I've noticed a glitch. Every time I unlock the phone, after pressing the buttons, the display light starts flickering and white vertical lines appear.
Can any of you help?
anyone?

Started this thread just to have idea about different versions of black screen bugs. Do we all have a specific definition or everybody has different experience and termed it as a black screen bug.
For me, when I used Paolo & Rome kernel with Adfad's N1 ROM, my screen went black whenever I tried to unlock and this was 'black screen bug' (for me).
hit button to wake phone to unlock screen laggs for 5-10 sec, with live wallpaper 2 sec.
when i get an incoming call..screens black, sometimes touching it lets me see whos calling.
when in call, i pull phone away from ear to see screen, ie call waiting, use keypad, ect. black screen, again touching it sometimes brings it to life.
those would be my 'BLACK SCREEN BUG" term assumptions

An easy way to recreate it is to simply turn your phone off and on real press power button the second it goes black press it again it will stay black when it is actually on
When coming out of the lock screen (pressing the lock button) for a split second I will see a series of white lines on the right hand side of the screen.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Cheers
anyone??????????
Could someone please lock and unlock their screens a few times to see if you notice the same thing?
Cheers
I have the same problem....i change the rom....but the line dont disapper!
On daily biases of using my S3 when powering up the lock screen my pattern unlock shifts towards the upper right corner where I only get half of the patterns viewable to swipe while the other half is untouchable off screen. This is a daily reoccurring while using the pattern unlock method. For me to even unlock my phone I would have to restart the phone and through out the day the issue repeats itself.
I've had this happen to me, I think, 2 or 3 times. Im not certain what triggers it, but it goes back to normal when I push the power button to turn off the screen and then turn on screen back on.

I bought a Xperia tablet z* ( 16 Giga,* WiFi,* LTE)* almost two weeks ago from Sony store in Saudi Arabi
there is an un-understandable problem and I am unable to determine why it occurs...*
Exact problem is that the tablet screen flashing and extinguished in sudden way and take into shivering lighting then extinguished the screen with a voice Click who hears while light pressure on the power bottom to close the screen ..
When pressed* again on the power bottom to try to open the screen, nothing happens, but wait for a few seconds the screen returns to the lighting again by itself giving me the lock screen which asking me to insert the unlock pin ...
I noticed that this happens a lot during the moving* device, but it happened also a few times where the device was static also ..

Hello,
Yesterday I have unlocked my phone with my finger print (like I always do) and it took about 5-6 seconds for the screen to show something. The backlight turned on rather quickly but the screen remained black. After the screen turned on, it had a bad case of screen retention, the colors were also darker and I could not use the buttons from the bottom of the screen. A reboot solved all this problems.
Also, sometimes when I turn on the screen, it quickly goes dark and the slowly comes back to the initial state. During this time I cannot use the touch screen. It is like it does the wake up of the screen all over again.
I think this is a software issue (I have V20C on H850) and it might be related to the always on display. Also, all of these problems happened when I woke my phone using only the finger print (not pressing the button or knocking on the screen).
Did anything like this happen to you?
