Thanks.
What do you mean?
You want to use Swype on ICS?
http://beta.swype.com/
go there, register, and download the .apk over to your phone.
Could you please clarify? Do you want an ICS rom that includes Swype? A modified version Swype?
I was just looking to get Swype keyboard on ICS. I didn't knew the beta program is open for registrations.
Thanks
Ah, I see. I thought that's what you wanted, but xriderx66 beat me to it anyways.
Yup the beta program is completely free. Once registered you are always free to download it on any phone and any OS version 2.1+.

I've been looking around and I can't seem to find the particular keyboard Im wanting. On the Auxora rom there is a multitouch keyboard I really like. What I like about it is that the keys are larger than the rest and that goes well with my shrek fingers. Can someone please point me in the right direction for this. I have installed and flashed every multitouch keyboard I can find on the forums and so far none of them are identical to the one packaged with auxora.

Axura uses the gingerbread KB... there is a version in the development section. You could also just take the .apk from the Azura rom and put it in system/app
I would if I knew what the apk was named. I don't wanna screw anything up.

this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=845162 also is based on the gingerbread keyboard.

Hey, like the other guy said your best bet would be to just pull the keyboard app and push it to your /system/app using root explorer. You really can't mess anything up. Just make a copy of the app that you are overwriting then overwrite it. Usually the keyboard is labeled "LATINIME.apk" or something along those lines.

which moto droid is the keyboard from? 1,2, pro,x?
Looking for a black themed keyboard (not Gingerbread one). running Eclipse .5 and installed the WJD black keyboard mod for the X1 and broke my multitouch. Did not back up, how would I reverse the process to return to normal keyboard on Eclipse?
Also, a black themed multitouch would be nice for our dark x2 themes, any suggestions on where I could find one? Thank you.
which version of eclipse had a multi touch? I can drag out my black keyboard from it (themed I mean)
Im running the latest version, .5 I believe. Tried swype etc but got used to the keys on that one. Would appreciate that black themed multitouch... Thanks.

Did u happen to have the black themed keyboard for 2.1 or 2.2? Im on 2.1 but going to 2.2 maybe later since all a sudden I can't get into accounts again when it was working before.
Yeah I think I came on board at 2.2 but I didnt make the keyboard black for that. If I am not mistaken, the kb for 0.5 would work on 2.2
Cool ill try it later. Forgot it was same keyboard

Not necessarily looking for a better looking keyboard, but one that my thumbs won't bump into each other and predicts pretty well. Thumb kb looks interesting...

You happen to have a black swype for .5 Eclipse? I think i am in the minority when saying i like swype. :/

Well not exactly 'ctrl', but really the swype key then a/x/c/v. I'm not sure if it's me, or the rom that I'm using but it's just odd that this awesome feature cannot be used!
When I first got this stock with the Swype pre-installed, this feature doesn't work. So I was guessing maybe the swype is not as up to date. So I've rooted my phone, first tried MIUI rom, installed swype (as it did not have it) from the website and it had the swype + a/x/c/v function. SWEET!
I decided MIUI is not a rom for me but the themes were so pretty, but oh well. I went on and got Batista70 FoxHound Edition 2.2. It also didn't have swype so I installed it from the website. This time, it didn't work (the swype + a/x/c/v). Just wondering what's going on and how I can get this feature as it's so convenient!
Thanks in advance!
Noone but me that's having this problem? Any help would be nice.

So I was looking at current android news on androidcentral.com when I read this article about swype being prepped for ICS. Apparently official swype for ICS hasn't even come out yet, which confuses me because I currently have swype working with ICS on my HTC Glacier. It could be that swype doesn't work on the Galaxy Nexus because it's a new device with different screen dimensions and the onscreen buttons, but it works on my Glacier because it's an older device running ICS and swype already supports it. I'm curious if anyone else has swype beta up and running on their device running ICS or if they're having issues with it.
i got it and it works perfectly. ICS on droid3
Are you able to download additional languages? I can't seem to download any. That's the only real issue I have worth Swype on my beta ICS ROM.

Swype on my Galaxy S II is not a normal beta version!

can someone post the apk?
You can get the Swype beta from the Swype beta site. Just sign up for the beta and you'll get a link to download the apk.

The reason why Swype is not working with ICS is that you cannot download additional languages. You can only use English and Spanish. They're working on it.

But the Galaxy S II only has GingerBread... unless you have a custom rom.
I was wondering if anyone out there might be able to create a themed keyboard for TouchPal. Its a great Swype style keyboard that I find to be much better then Swype or SlideIT and its free in the market, but there are no themes for it. If someone would be able to create a blue letter on black button theme for it I would be forever indebted to you!

great idea. i too would like to see this keyboard themed. i find it to be much better than swype

There is a thread in Android apps forum for touchpal 5.1. There are themes available in that thread, but I don't know if they work with the 4.x version available in the market. If you get the updated touchpal from that thread, I recommend the 5.0 hotfix version.

Thanks a ton! This version is even better than the market version as well! I still don't find a theme that is exactly what I was looking for, but definitely a step in the right direction. Should have done some more searching before posting lol. Thanks again.
