What advantages does this hold over the stock MMS apk?
Somewhat off-topic, but has anyone been able to get stock ICS contacts.apk to work on this phone? I have stock Gallery going and had stock MMS (didn't reinstall it when I switched ROMs because I use Go SMS), but for some reason Contacts won't show up in my app drawer or as an installed app period. It was working on 3D so I figured I could just throw it in /system/apps, set permissions, and be off and running. No such luck.
installed, but it still looks the same?
which screen is supposed to be different?
if this will give me stock ics sms/mms that would be awesome.

So I like the dialer for the alien theme,and was wondering if there's a way to get it working on cm7 pre beta 2,or if someone could make one. I would be highly appreciative

That would be awesome bro. Cm7 is just beautiful,I just can't stand the dialer lol. I tried moving the blur dialer to system/app and rebooting just to see,and of course that didn't work. All the dialers in the market are hideous. I just want a regular black and green one. Nothing fancy
Sent from my MB860 using XDA Premium App
Once cm7 release a more stable version i'll probably port over the entire theme For now i couldn't stand the battery draining and data connection issues most users are facing
I would also be interested in this. I have decided to use CM7 pb2 as my daily, and it's my work phone!

I think it has something to do with our qHD screen. The density is set at 240 but really, its about 200. If you change it to about 280 everything looks perfect, beside the fact that for some odd reason, the market wont show the movies tab and wont let us dl some apps.
EDIT:Same thing with my brothers dx2

Dialer One from the Market works well with CM7.
This thread will hopefully make it easier for everyone to find any tweaks of mods that are for Miui.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Mods
Remove Debugging Icon (just flash in recovery after wiping cache & dalvik)
All-in-One Center (w/ clock in center, stronger haptic, and brighter screen)
All-in-One Right (w/ clock on right, stronger haptic, and brighter screen)
Extended Settings Right (this will just move clock to right. It does not include haptic tweak or brighter screen)
**The Extended Settings is compliments of Andy Thomson. All I did was make it work for our phones. Please take time to thank him.
SoundRecorder App (aligned a little better, but still a WIP)
Tweaks
Stronger Haptic Feedback and Brighter AutoBrightness
Thanks

The extended settings are just flashable zips, but the framework-res.apk do the following :
Long press on /system/framework-res.apk and write down the permission settings. (You will need that later)
Cut and paste the new downloaded file into /system/framework
It will ask if it's OK to overwrite, say yes.
The market will force close, but that is normal.
Set the permissions the same as you wrote down at the beginning and reboot.
That is all there is to it, but please let me know if you have any other questions.

It gives you options to change the top bar battery color, remove carrier(or put a custom one), and a few others. Also allows you to flip the status bar and/or put the clock in the center.
Here is a pic of the options and notice my status bar and battery color...

This is what I hate about all forums like this. I'm not a developer and collect various things from all over the place but have no way of knowing where I got them from. If someone is really looking for something I have that someone else made I post it with a statement something like, "This isn't my work, I have no idea where it came from, take no credit for it and am simply sharing something that was shared with me. If this is your work and want me to update this post to relfect that just let me know." I haven't had any problems yet that I know of!

Yes, do exactly what he said and if the original poster of the files ask you to edit/remove the post just do as he says and you should have no problems
problem with inverted apps is the color choices used. usually based on ics blue. if you didn't know I think almost all gapps is themed if you apply a cm theme. I'm on one from the market and everything is red themed for me.

Like I said before, the only Rom I've tested on was cm9. And that was using the 4/21 gapps package that was in the op.

In the past I have found I need to push them into system/app with the terminal emulator and the type "sync" inorder for android to recognize them. Unless I sync they won't load even after a reboot.

That sounds like a lot more work than my way of copy, paste, fix permissions, enjoy. I've even gotten them to work on sense roms every now and then.

Installs the stock Android 4.2 keyboard, camera, and clock. Everything except Photosphere works as far as I can tell and I am currently working on that.
12/22-Photosphere flashable zip

12/12-Photosphere works:

I can confirm that Photosphere works perfectly after a build.prop edit.
ro.build.version.release=4.2
ro.product.device=maguro
ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
ro.product.name=yakju
I'm not sure if all of the edits are needed, but that's what I put in. I think it only needs the product model. I pulled the build.prop file through adb, edited with notepad++, rebooted into recovery, mounted system, pushed modified build.prop to "/system/build.prop", then ran chmod in shell to 755 build.prop, unmounted system, reboot, profit!

It keeps the HTC camera and gallery. If you want I can post one that deletes them.

photosphere works.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2013954
the keyboard installs like an apk and just flash the camera app. copy paste the link and just flash. everything in the camera works fine
You missed GMail: http://d-h.st/6yV
After flashing, mount system and delete Gmail.apk and Gmail.odex. Keep GMail2.apk
Am missing how to enable the keyboard?

Might I ask if the camera takes better pictures with the 4.2 cam?

Its all preference. The shots come out the same but there are different features in both. Luckily you can have both.

Am I missing something here? I thought we couldn't write to the system yet. I see nowhere in keyboard and input settings to disable the sense keyboard.

For those that are saying the keyboard doesn't work. It is, but here's the workaround to get it going:
1) Download and install SwiftKeyboard3: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey.phone.trial
2) Follow all the steps to make SwiftKeyboard 3 your default keyboard
3) After install, go back into Settings\Language & Keyboard and disable Swift Key 3
4) Profit
Uninstall Swiftkey 3 if you wish.

Thanks that worked. I was getting irritated that I couldn't find that option. I knew it was there as I've switched keyboards plenty of times before.

You know if you swipe down the notification bar while the keyboard is visible, you can switch the keyboards. :good:

Now I know thanks. Also I just figured out in aosp keyboard long pressing the space bar does the same. But after all this I decided I like the Sense keyboard with this screen size.
