but i use all in one tool root succesed!and (china version) installer back google paly!
3,can i make pre-root ics?
is it safe for a kernel 10 user up to ics?
1,what is kernel build 10?
It is the version of the firmware where generally it has been patched so that the current exploit method (root) can not be used.
how can i check,if my tablet is one of kernel #10?
Settings, About
In the about,my tablet show kernel 3.2.1 build10#1,is this ?
Yes.
2,what about kernel #10?
3.2.1 can't root?,or 4.0.3 can't root?
Normally in HC 3.2.1 where kernel 10 is, this root method will not work.
All ICS kernels (that we know of) have been locked down in the same way.
but i use all in one tool root succesed!and (china version) installer back google paly!
As we have discovered in AIO thread, Chinese tablets are different, so lucky for you.
3,can i make pre-root ics?
Yes, since AIO version 3.1 (i think) China tab has been supported.
is it safe for a kernel 10 user up to ics?
It is safe! Normally can not be done, but in your case YES.
Good luck
Follow AIO post one to the letter

Uh huh, that would be the issue.
ICS 4.0.3 is currently unrootable! Only preroot from previous HC 3.2.1 is possible. Also no way to downgrade ATM. Sorry to tell you, but I am in the same boat.

Using OTA, I can only update to 4.0.3.

Check Stifilz's thread (link is in my signature) for links to update files. Most Sony server 3.2.1 links for various regions no longer work, but the member-provided links for the US region still work.

So if I got it right,
I should firstly flash to 3.2.1,
Then root it,
Then Condi update it to 4.0.3,
Then re-root?

Almost correct. Not re-root; instead, pre-root.
First, update (flash) to 3.2.1r2 and root it using Condi's ALLinONE v4.0 tool (not v4.1). From Main Menu, select 1 Root device. Then use Condi's ALLinONE v4.0 tool again to pre-root and install (flash) 4.0.3r1a or 4.0.3r5. From Main Menu, select 3 * Custom ROM and Flashing [SUBMENU], then from next menu, select 1 Create decrypted update.zip [+optional make custom]. The last link in my signature will take you to a post describing this method.
Another option is to first update to 4.0.3r1a or 4.0.3r5 then root using the method described in WonderEkin's post. Use the second link in my signature to view his post. I have not used WonderEkin's method (I did not need to, my tablets were already rooted when he posted), but several people have used his method with success.

i rooted this last night with z4root and did a nandroid backup and then flashed the mik_os compile of CM7, everything has gone fine, but i have decided to try the official firmware to see how it is.
if i nandroid back to the original LG firmware (which was 2.2 based) and then update to the latest release, is it still possible after that to go back to CM7 again if i find i don't like the official gingerbread update? ie. is it possible to root the latest gingerbread update?
i am doing this partly to get the latest radio version but also just to see how good the lg version is compared to aosp/CM

You cannot root the 2.3.3 update from LG, afaik. You've to downgrade it to froyo to root it again.

Yes, that's the euro version and the new baseband will be flashed automatically.
If you want to go back to CM7 you will have to flash the old baseband via LGMDP or a froyo rom via KDZ.

tried already, that is how i found the 7z unpacked version. the official LG website link is saying 'Forbidden'
ie. this one -> http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP500/ANEUBK/V20e_00/V20E_00.kdz
people have reported the unpacked version working, but i was a bit hesistant as its not how i have done different LG phones, i have normally used the .kdz
if anyone has the v20e .kdz could they mirror it somewhere, would be appreciated by a lot of ppl i think..
ok got v20e flashed finally, now only problem is rooting it, tried superoneclick but getting

Is usual to follow the instructions and bother to read up and learn before attempting to flash .
Solution is to not root unless you know why and if you want a custom kernel read the instructions as regards rooting in the roms post .
Cynagon mod is not a rom i would flash from a position of ignorance .

Rooting --> Doomlords method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20296629#post20296629
Kernel Flash--> TRy the latest 2.0
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1369977
Use Odian to flash this if it fails try 1.2 first then 2.0 over it using Odian
Custom ROM--> Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1374135
Point to remember :
1) No need to root if you directly flash the rooted and cwm kernel i linked in kernel flash using odian
2)Flash the Custom ROM using CWM very easy
I managed to root with DooMLoRD zergrush and flashed MyGKernel using Ktool.
I will just wait for new roms to come
1. First download 4.0.3 kernel. (Neo V officially but will work on Neo)
2. Open flashtool 7.0 or newer version and flash just the kernel: untick wipe data/cache and tick exclude system/baseband and no final verification check.
3. Root with DooMLoRD's one click method shown here.
4. Optional: install CWM.
5. Now reflash 4.0.4 kernel using flashtool like shown above.
If you somehow do not have 4.0.4 firmware or if you are not on ICS but you want to update to, follow this guide from where you can download 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 ftf.
is it also applicable on Neo MT15i ? ? ?

Hello guys
I´m a newbie in this new phone... i owned an HTC HERO that i was completely good on rooting, installing ROMS etc...
But i´ve got this phone now.
Did a lot of research, read a lot of things but i´m not sure. Hope you guys can help me.
My Xperia mini pro is on its stock(factory) rom:
android 4.0.4
baseband 8x55A-AAABQOAZM-203028G-72
2.6.32.9 kernel
version 4.1.B.0.431
I´ve tried a lot of apps to root it(superoneclick, z4...) but none of them worked.
I´ve read that to root it, it should downgrade to another android version, root and them upgrade.
Is that correct? Or this device with this version of android and baseband can be rooted?
Thank you
Sergio.
It can't be rooted as it is now.
Either unlock the bootloader and install a pre-rooted kernel, or downgrade to GB and root it following THIS tutorial.
Also, if you read it already, I don't really understand why you are still asking how to do it

ICS Firmware is impossible to root directly so far , you need to downgrade your phone to an older GB firmware if don't want to unlock bootloader here's the tutorial it's working 100%

It's not bad if you try to install custom kernel with locked bootloader. The installation won't succeed as custom kernel has no official signature, so the installation won't be done.

Hi again Guys,
I need an info here.
I´ll downgrade the mini pro to GB and root.
After that, should i flash the ICS via flashtool or can i update it from SUS/Pc Companion or OTA?
In which case from SUS/PCCompanion or OTA i will loose the root?
Or i should ignore it and update via Flashtool?
I did not understand that part of the guide(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695514)
try to make in a few words(correct me if i´m wrong):
Download GB firmware and flash using flashtool
Root via Doomlord
The part III(preparation to root 4.0.4) ok.
After this, this is my doubt. Should i Flash ICS from flashtool or update it by SUS/PCCompanion/OTA ?
Flash GB.
Root it.
Run push_local.prop.cmd
Upgrade to ICS:
a) Using Flashtool -> Make sure you don't Wipe data. uncheck that box.
b) Using PC Companion / SUS -> Make sure you choose not to wipe data, too.
Run the other file which name I don't remember
That's all
ICS is not available via OTA.
Doesn't matter how you update, as long as you do the 01-....cmd file before updating.
If you use Flashtool, make sure to uncheck Wipe Data option.
Hi Guys,
Can someone please tell me how to convert/upgrade my Tablet S 3.2.1 r2 rooted to Ice Cream Sandwich?
Thanks in advance
If you want unrooted ICS, go onto about tablet and go onto system update. If you want root ICS, you have to flash a pre-rooted ICS
Sent from my Sony Tablet S using xda app-developers app

You have two choices for updating your rooted 3.2.1r2.
Use Condi's S.onyTablet.S [ALLinONE] Tool (use v4.0, not v4.1) to pre-root and install Android 4.0.3r1a.
Or update to Android 4.0.3r1a (losing your 3.2.1r2 root) then root using THIS method.
Do lots of reading before attempting either method. Good luck.

No, do not unroot your 3.2.1r2. Root access is required to use Condi's AiO tool to pre-root and install the 4.0.3r1a update file.

You cannot download a pre-rooted 4.0.3r1a update file (well, you could, but it would not work). You must use Condi's AiO tool to pre-root and install an update file. Here are links to UK update files.

You may have receive the error message because the version of Android you presently have installed is not a version for the UK region. Look at your build.prop file and see which region is indicated.
