Now that the CM9 and AOKP builds are coming out, I'd like to know if there is a way to put the Samsung ripple lockscreen in them. Is it a matter of restoring a specific apk or does it need to be integrated by a dev into the core of a rom?

Is there a way to go back to a "normal" lockscreen?
Im running SHOstock 1.9 rom, but it seems every rom has the stock/standard samsung lockscreen. Why hasnt anyone included the more widespread two switch button lockscreens in any roms? Is it even possible?
And im not talking about just downloading a lockscreen app.
You need either Jkay built in or CM7 then if you want that.
Or use Go Locker

I really hate the ICS lockscreen and i was wondering if there is a way to port the Gingerbread lockscreen to ICS, i know there are some apps on the play store that allows me to change the lockscreen, but those waste alot of battery :3
haha i actually hated the GB one way too much drag to unlock, this one is super easy and quick to unlock
I think the resurrection remix 1.3 ics rom comes with it-it gives an option to use the legacy lockscreen.

You could also try JKay framework. It has a slide unlock option that is similar to GB.

Hi,
I'm searching an AOKP Rom with Samsung APPs. I think this isn't possible, although i already implemented SamsungKeyboard on an AOKP Rom once. But haptic feedback didnt work for that keyboard anymore...
So another question: Is there a Samsung ROM with AOKP Theme etc.
For the Theme i could use Vertumus Theme, but is there any ROM that supports the LED just like CM10 does e.g.?
I want the ROM to look like CM10 and the LED features, but want to use the sammy apps too... is there sth like this?
thanks...
There is miui rom with tw apps and options. App to control led is called lightflow.

Hi guys,
I am looking to try using AOSP ROM for my S3. However, I am in love with some of my Samsung S3 stock application, like the Samsung keyboard and multiwindow?
Is there any possibility to flash these applications to the AOSP ROM? Anyone has the link to get these?
Also, after I flashed to AOSP, can I restore the applications that I have already backed up using Titanium during the stock ROM?
Thanks for your help
Most of the stock apps require TouchWiz framework to work, so no.
1. If I remember correctly, there are some AOSP & SAMMY Hybrid ROM in DEV section, may suit your request.
2. About titanium backup, yes, except system applications, if you wanna backup Sammy applications and restored in AOSP , it won't work as they require TW framework as above poster mentioned

You could try null rom, it's based on Samsung but with aosp look. Otherwise stock Samsung apps will not run in aosp/aokp as they need the TW framework.

As others have said your only option is a stock samsung rom with the aosp look, I like ultima for this you can have the Nexus 4 launcher and all Sammy features and apps (except S planner month widget that requires touchwiz launcher)

There may be good 3rd party replacement apps. Perhaps if you specify which you're in love with....

Or is there some way to copy the TW framework for AOSP? if you have the access to system files can simply copy / paste the files in the right place?
No because samsung use framework-res AND twframework-res

Is it possible to replace the LG stock lockscreen with the lockscreen from the CM10 Rom on a rooted phone with a locked bootloader? And, if so, how might I go about doing it?
You may want to try widget locker and the newly added cLock widget from the market.
It may be possible to remove the stock lockscreen through titanium backup...but you will want to do more research about it before doing so...it's easy enough to just turn it off through system settings.
Cheers
