Is it possible to make a shortcut on the homescreen to a single contact? On my Desire with Cyanogenmod 7 there is the option to add a shortcut, but I can only see the option to add a widget or an app shortcut on the S3.
Thanks for any help

How do I change the app choices that come up when using a quick contact shortcut? For example, when I click on a quick contact shortcut, right now gmail is the only email I can choose but I want to use my HTC Mail app that has my Yahoo address.

?
You mean a shortcut to an app... just drag and drop.
You can long press on homescreen, choose shortcuts, then select directions/navigation and put an address in....I think that's what you might be looking to do.

Yeah, I was doing that for a while, but would rather just be able to select a shortcut to the list of the "My Places" part of the maps app. Can't find it yet and any cut doesn't have anything for it. I figure there's no way to do it.
Do you mean a shortcut to a specific destination? And navigate to it? That is possible

I have looked and can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Is there a way to access your app drawer without having the icon on your homescreen or in your dock, such as through a gesture of some sort?

You can use a third party launcher like Nova Launcher. You can set gestures with that. I have 2 finger swipe up to open settings, double tap to open app drawer& 2 finger swipe down launches Google Voice Search.
I'm using Apex I'll look in those settings and see if I can figure it out.
Thanks
