Is it me or is almost none of the big games from the big developers available for the galaxy s3?
Almost all big name games says not compatible for your device.
Even games that does work they have startet removing for the galaxy s3. 3 days ago I bought Max Payne mobile for my galaxy s3 and it worked fine. Today when I installed new rom I noticed it didnt install Max Payne on first boot so I went to market to install it manually and now Max Payne too says not compatible with your device.
Same with alot of games. They dont even show up in market and if you search for it in web play store most of them says the same. Almost no games from electronic arts or gameloft, also searched for Galaxy on fire. Same.

Sounds like an issue with the ROM and how it identifies the phone to the Play Store. Nearly all Gameloft games are showing for me, as is Max Payne.

When you say showing do you mean you can see it? because so can I but it says device not compatible if I go look at description.

I'm having the same problem, max payne and fifa don't show up in a search on the play store. on a pc google play says my device isn't compatible but recognises it as an s3

Downloaded N.O.V.A 3 yesterday,says not compatible when run.
On XXLE8 FIRMWARE I was able to download and play fifa 12 and dead space. I then updated to XXLF2 ota. After updating I reset the phone and was no longer able to download and play these games. Someone said EA may have added the gs3 to the not supported list. Is any one still on XxLE8 that can check if these games are still available obviously that firmware ????

I tweeted gameloft about this when I first got my sgs3 complaining that it worked on older devices, my sgs and my asus transformer. They said it takes them a while to optimize the games to specific devices.
I used Chainfire3D to add tegra game support to my phone.

Hi just bought a razr couple days ago and tried to install some HD games from gameloft and get a messege that my device is not supported
I have seen some youtube videos with gameloft games on razr so i wonder why my razr is not working on same games?
I have a nordic razr but it should be the same all? Anyone have a clue?

If so, try to enable external APK installation and try to install the game's APK off of the Market. For example, download it on another device and copy/install it on your RAZR, or download it on your PC and copy/install on RAZR.
I hate the new Android Market. For example, apps that can work on my ATRIX / SGS2 are shown as not downloadable (device not supported), but manually installing them works flawlessly 99% of the times.

The messege is not shown on market it shows after i install the game and start it first time. Then the messege pops up "your device is not supported" I also tried to download the games to computer than to dropbox and have tried to install it on the phone that way but it ends the same way..
So you have to use an updated version of the game...
There is a game called riptide, its brand spanking new...try that plz and let us know. Its one of the reasons I will buy this..(or not)

Riptide is working well. PES2011 and Samurai II also work. Shadowgun & most of the Gameloft games are not working.

Maybe its been updated, but Shadowgun is working just fine for me on my Razr

Block breaker
And all work perfectly

Yes, shadowgun was updated & now can run on Razr. PES2012 is nice & got option to play online.

I have noticed that since the OMAP4 is just the latest in the PowerVR line, many games designed for older PowerVR chipsets work on the RAZR! Backstab HD for the Galaxy S for example works pretty well. Very smooth.

I think that *maybe* there might be a fix, because on other devices when u have issues like this from the market, you need to change your LCD density back to what is normal for your device, however IDK what the density is by default on this device, but try changing it to something else and see what happens?
For instance everytime i want to update 3 ceartain apps i have to chance my LCD density back to normal on my MT4GS and had to on all my other devices, as well as people are reporting this works on the SG2 forums i believe

They must of not tested it on your phone yet. However I find alot more games available for my phone on the gameloft store than on the market. Search gameloft on Google on your phone and go to their website. Their you will find much more games for your phone than on the market. It's weird how nova doesn't work on the skyrocket. The normal att GS2 has support for this game.

ok I am sure allot of us are getting frustrated with the lack of market support for apps due to the Screen resolution, or whatever reason... but what are some apps that are not supported by the play store that work fine... and also ones that crash or dont function properly

The game Rayman Jungle Run is marked incompatible in the Play Store, but on Amazon Apps it says it is compatible.
When sideloaded the game runs perfect, and it is gorgeous with those hand drawn art assets.
I hope they patch dead zone the game is so badass I even play it with the pink guys but I would like it to work

I haven't had this issue at all, almost all apps on the market work fine for me. I was even able to install the XDA App for Tablets directly from the Market (it works without a hitch). It makes me interested in sideloading some apps from my Prime, given the DNA does have a very high res display. Will post results.
Angry birds star wars HD starts up but when selecting a level it instantly quits.

GTA Vice City works great when side loaded. Bought it on Nexus 7 and used titanium backup then installed on DNA. Works flawless!:laugh:

which app didn't work? I used my backups from my nexus to restore my games to my DNA and I had no issues other than angry birds star wars FC...
ChompSMS - had to install it from their website. Works great.

I trying to install games in my s3 but an error came that "this game is incompatible with your device please ask for a refund" this is coming in so many games like NOVA 3, ASPHALT 6 HD, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. I saw that the game modern combat 4 was 1 dollar (on sale temporarily), so I decided to buy it. After I bought it, the download and install went fine. But when I tried playing It, the screen would go black, and the GAMELOFT loading circle would appear (loading) for a second, then disappear, then it would continue glitching out like this, so now I can't play. I read the game reviews and I'm not the only one with this issue. Any ideas on how to fix? For samsung galaxy s3

Maybe you guys need to be on complete stock? It's a shot in the dark but something may be interfering with your game.
Or the game thinks that you don't have enough RAM. It sometimes happens when you play heavy games. Clear RAM and try again.
