I got a Titan II (free) and previously had a Titan. Anyone else who has used both phones, please comment.
While I actually like the shaoe of the Titan II much better I find that it is far more laggy than the 1.
Can anyone comment?
I have used both the Titan and Titan II, I preferred the Titan II, It felt more sturdy and I liked the curved screen, It performed as flawlessly as the Titan with regards to the OS and I never had any issues with Muffled voice during calls or signal problems, The 16mp camera was superb, Unfortunately It was at&t branded and although unlocked I could not set-up MMS at all so reluctantly sold it, Both phones are good though and have gone back to using a Titan as my work phone.
I had a Titan with the muffled sound problem. I dropped it and shattered the digitizer, so I got a Titan II.
The Titan II has been superior in every way.....except it was just as smooth as the Titan in functionality.
If you are having a unit that is lagging, there is another issue.

I currently have a TMobile Pocket pc phone edition that i recently installed the WM2003 upgrade on, i love it.
Now i hear that there are XDA2 devices out, which sound like better, faster devices. I asked TMobile, and they say that as long as the phone supports GSM 1900 and can be unlocked to use any SIM card, switching phones is a piece of cake.
So i guess my question is, has anyone tried this? I would like to get a O2 XDA2 over the M1000. Has anyone gotten them to work on the TMobile network here in the USA? I'd hate to spend the money on the device and not have it work. Or would it be better if i wait for some (needed?) ROM upgrades?
Thanks a lot =)
Edit: Okay so i didnt type in the right keywords into google the first time. User review here basically answers all my questions:

Telus calls it the P4000, I was seeing what's compatible and what's not. Is the p4000 compatible for upgrading and such, I got a HTC Touch 2 weeks ago learning all the flashing and upgrading, but I hate the phone, breaks easy, scratches easy and just garbage phone so I need to move on, which is funny cause this phone is older so I'm moving backwards?
Everything here for the Titan should be compatible with your phone unless you stumble upon a carrier specific ROM.
it is 100% compatible with all the upgrade provided here.
I do have a P4000 from Telus and everything is 100% ok.

TELUS Titan is a better build quality phone than the TELUS Vogue [Touch]. The radio is better, it is easier to flash ROMs, and I personally prefer the appearance and extra buttons. Speaker quality is just a little better, but not too much so.
P4000 was a more expensive phone even though it is older. Sure, it has half the RAM, but the Touch is prone to glitch out.
I am thinking of getting a CDMA Touch Dual and am wondering what the difference is between the Telus Touch Dual and the Bell Touch Dual.
What are the differences?
What are the specs?
Does it have wifi?
Does it have built-in GPS?
I am in the US and am going to put it on Alltel.
I am going to purchase it in 24hours so please respond to this.
Thank You,
Mannie (81344songz)
I believe they're the exact same phones - NEON400's. I just purchased the HTC Touch Dual from Telus, and it's running a 528mhz Qualcomm 7501A, CDMA with GPS enabled but no Wi-Fi. Bell's HTC Touch Dual should be identical.

are they both the same color?
is it a good phone in your opinion?
is it better than the mogul?
I have an Alltel PPC6800/Mogul/Titan
They are the exact same phone (I'm with Bell), although it's possible that the different carriers may have locked different features.
I haven't found anything that's been 'locked' really, although I will tell you that since this is a smaller run phone, the normal touch dual accessories don't fit quite right.
eg.
The camera is horizontal instead of it's GSM sister which is vertacle
The charger/data port is on the bottom instead of the side like the GSM version.
Because of features like this; the generic cases and cradles don't work without a little elbow grease modification
All in all though; I'm quite happy with the phone as it doesn't cause me many issues that you don't see in many other phones. I just can't wait for a HardSPL to actually work so we can start getting some custom ROMS
Hope that helps
I have a UK unlocked HTC titan, I get horrible reception in my house and AT&T has given me a 3g Microcell to fix it, well the Microcell has its own problems, but regardless they say that my phone wont work with the Microcell anyways because its only getting E (edge) so they convinced me to get a new phone (Nokia Lumia 900) which i did like, but ultimatly took back because I love my titan so much, they no longer offer the titan 1 and would only give it to me for $199 through their site (which is BS because the titan 2 is $199) I know i should just et the titan 2 but i dislike the curved glass, I like the look and feel of my Titan 1, I would have already dropped AT&T and went to verizon but they have no WP7 phonesand I want to keep my titan...
So I'm asking:
Is there a Rom that I could flash to my titan (Its an Unlocked UK version (British lady voice and all) and AppHub Unlocked) that would set it to the AT&T rom and possibley get better signal as well as 3G capabilities?
I would like to flashmy rom and use the one from AT&T to recieve 3G and use the Microcell as well as overall better coverage.
Im somewhat of a noob to the flashing and dont know if thats how it works or what... Can someone please help?
Thanks.

What a situation you got yourself into I reckon there will be plenty out there who would like to swap their att branded htc titan to your european unlocked titan Anyway back to your question..., yes you can flash your phone with stock cingular (att) rom but it is not a straight forward flashing. You will need to use "goldcard method" to flash a stock cingular (att) rom to your phone. I advise you to read this related threads on goldcard method:
1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24809318#post24809318
2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1371073&highlight=goldcard+spl+downgrade+method
You need to download the Cingular (A&T) rom 1.10 from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1334468
You just need to rename the nbh file into ETERIMG.nbh to use in your goldcard.
In summary, to flash stock AT&T rom you need to use the goldcard method to flash the Cingular ROM 1.10 to your european unlocked htc titan.
Hope this help.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the response! Now im faced with 2 options ... sell/trade the phone (I LOVE THE TITAN!) or Get the materials and try out the Rom to see if it fixes my problem. I guess we'll see.
SO YOU ARE TELLING ME THEORETICALLY FLASHING THE STOCK AT&T TITAN ROM TO MY UNLOCKED VERSION WILL FIX THE NO 3G PROBLEM? IS THERE ANY DRAWBACKS OR ANYTHING WITH THIS FLASH, DO I NEED TO MESS WITH THE RADIO? ANY AND ALL INFORMATION IS DEF APPRECIATED!
IF IM GONNA DO THIS, I WANNA KNOW WHAT IM IN FOR AND WHAT IM GONNA GET, AT THIS POINT AT&T GAVE M A MICROCELL TO FIX MY SERVICE PROBLEM (BUT NO 3G ON MY TITAN) AND THEY ALSO GAVE ME AN EARLY UPGRADE OPTION, AND WITH ALREADY HAVING THE NOKIA LUMIA 900 AND HAVING IT FAIL IN COMPARISON TO THE TITAN, SCREEN SIZE WISE (OTHERWISE BEATIFUL PHONE), AND THE TITAN TWO UGLY WITH THE CURVED GLASS AND BUBBLE BACK, LOOKS LIKE IM GONNA HAVE TO TRY ANDROID AGAIN (UGLY UI, BUT MORE APPS)
Thanks again.
There is no guarantee here unfortunately:] and the gold card method is a hit and miss process to say the least. You probably know that by now, as there are few threads running on this forum about this topic. The stock Cingular rom 1.10 has its own bugs (lots of them) you can find more about this by reading opening threads in the general section (Q&A). Your choice Goodluck.
