[Q] cm7 where to post bugs - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been running cm7 through the RC versions. Very happy with it. The only bug I have noticed is that the phone does not return to the previous audio mode after a call. I have posted this to the Atrix Dev team site, but I am not certain that it has been received and acknowledged
The bug is: plug phone into dock play some audio (music, nav, etc over the 3.5 mm Jack on the dock.) Make or receive a phone call .after the call, all audio is over the speaker instead of the 3'5 mm Jack. What is the best way to report the bug

Try cynogenmod.com

Yeah, I get that... The deal is that I posted to the atrix dev team 'issues list' and there appeared to be quite a bit of activity in nov-march, but nothing recently. I did not want to 'cross post' the defect if this is where it was 'supposed to be'. I just posted it to the cm issues list.

[Q] kaosfroyo; 3.5mm audio output registering as microphone

I searched first, and can't find the solution to this problem: Since upgrading from 2.1 to 2.2, the audio jack in my car that leads to a cassette adapter is registering on the Eris as a headset w/mic. This becomes a problem when I want to do a hands-free call.
It used to be on 2.1 with the same hardware that while listening to music in my car, if a call came in, the music would mute and I could speak and the phone's internal mic would pick me up. Now, with 2.2., it seems to be expecting the sound to come in from an external mic.
Any help in fixing this would be appreciated! This is one that will send me back down to 2.1 unfortunately, as hands-free calling is kind of key for me being on the road a lot.
I found this similar question from 2008, unfortunately unanswered:

Pretty simple question, theres got to be a software solution. I've searched high and low on these forums and many people have the same problem but I have yet to discover a resolution. How would one enable the internal (built-in) microphone having a 3.5mm audio adapter routing the sound through a casette adapter? Is feedback going to be an issue?
Thanks,

Big thanks to the community -- as you can tell by my post count, most questions I have are answered here before I ever have to post.

Which ROM? Have you tried another Froyo ROM? I know my DEris worked on Kaos just fine.
I'm on kaosfroyo 35-1
Ive seen that problem in the new builds of kaosfroyo. I think its just a problem in kaosfroyo. Check with punk.kaos about it.
Oddly enough, after continued playing around with this ROM....
-- used metamorph to apply black status bar and circle battery with links from kaosfroyo faq on github
-- flashed the htc ringtone package
-- set autokiller to "strict"
-- setcpu to 480-787 default; 192-480 sleep
.... and the problem seems to have gone away. Not sure IF or WHY any of those had an impact. I noticed with the new status bar that all the icons were a little different, and it wasn't long after that I re-tested the microphone while an audio jack was plugged into it because I noticed the icon was just headphones now instead of the headset w/mic icon.
Hmm...that's a bit strange. Try calling someone with ur headphones in and see if it still trys to use it as an input device. Your theme change just might have covered up the problem.

No notification / ring sound after bluetooth disconnect

I am running the current leak of Froyo... if I bluetooth connect to my car audio system for hands free calling I lose all external sound when I disconnect. I have gone through all the audio settings with nothing appearing out of place. The first Froyo rom I tried redirected the ringer out the earpiece, the new leak kills it completely. All ideas welcome.... I will try anything. Thanks in advance!

I'm having the same issue. each time I connect to my car's bluetooth audio and made a call, I'll lose the notification sounds. even calls won't ring.
currently had to resort to phone's speaker function, but that won't do.
am scouring the net for some answers, and will update if i found anything.
Samsung Galaxy S
How was there no reply to this? I have had the same issue on every samsung vibrant 2.2 rom, including custom roms. now i am having the same issue on my stock galaxy s 4G! Help?
Bump!
Running Nero on Galaxy S.
Same problem with Vibrant + Froyo 2.2
Sounds strikingly similar to my experience with my Samsung Vibrant running Froyo 2.2 + custom Axura 2.3.1.3 ROM.
After disconnecting any bluetooth device, in some cases the phone's speaker is completely muted (media/system/notification volumes all cranked to max) until I either reboot or make a voice call and enable speakerphone.
I've hunted high and low on the webternets for a solution and have come up dry.
I smell a bug.
Same problem Stock Vibrant 2.2

Thanks, I guess - at least I don't have to keep rebooting since the voice call/speakerphone workaround gets my sound back. This is a PITA.
I have the same issue in MIUI_Au since 1.10.x revisions (previous versions worked OK). I had exactly the same problem 6 months ago with Villain ROM and it was the reason I dumped it. It seems to be a CM7 issue...

Thanks for that...keeps me from having to reboot. And I'm even running (embarrassingly) the 2.2 update direct from Samsung. Need to finally take the time to root…

[Q] Cannot hear calls. Simply Honey 3.3

I have simply honey 3.3 and my sound from my main phone speaker (the one you listen to normal calls, not the loud speaker on the back) doesnt work any more. I can't hear calls unless I turn on the loud speaker, or anything else. I've messed with the volume with no luck. I'm relatively new to flashing, and what not, so I'm not sure what the problem could be. I'm using T959 Vibrant Samsung Galaxy. I can't find anyone else with my problem.
I'm not sure if anyone can get me a perfect answer, but does anyone at least have a thought of what I should do? should I try re-flashing again?
Edit: I posted this in General Q/A on the main forum but decided this might be a better place since its Vibrant related.
Have you flashed the newest update with the new bullet kernel? That fixes all of the found routing issues, if you haven't then go under Widgets and use the headset toggle. Enable it and you should be fine.

Bluetooth connected but no sound

The situation is like this, i connected my bluetooth earpiece, but don't have any sound when calling, and i switch to handfree or loud speaker, then i can hear the sound, when turn back to bluetooth, no sound, i have maximum the volumn... can anyone help me?
I have flashed my SGS2 to MIUI 1.9.30, the same time i tried to flash to cyanogenmod as well, the result is same...
It's MIUI bug. It hopes to be fixed next release
Thank, i have solved this problem with flash Galnet Miui weekly build, the latest one.
Anyway this ain't the right place to ask question.

Actually, it's Cyanogen's bug, and since MIUI is Cyanogen based, it didn't work there as well.
But latest nightly of Cyanogen have this resolved, so it should be in MIUI as well (or very soon)

Atrix speaker not working after Google+ hangout

OK, this is what happens. On my Atrix 4G, I open the Google+ app and start a hangout. Whether I get an answer or not, I close the app and then, if I try to play any music which should come out of the loud speaker, the sound just comes out of the little ear speaker. I don't have a jack plugged in. The only way I can fix this is to re-boot the phone.
I can replicate this every time.
Is this a Google + bug or an Atrix bug?
Can't wait for the self proclaimed mods to complain about this not being in Q&A section.
What rom you using? Always good to post that info.

I'm using the stock ROM although it is rooted and I have done the Webtop2SD hack on it.
