A SMALL THOUGHT ON NEW MODELS
NO RADIO FM!!! Galaxy S5 NO !!!
Hi all I have a thought that I want to share with you on alternatives to FM radio.
Here are the reasons why I WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO USE THE "INTERNET RADIO" :
1) HIGH CONSUMPTION OF DATA !
With 90 minutes of the "Internet Radio" on average consumes about 100MB ( 128Kbps 44.1KHz and the same quality of FM Radio) .
So if you listen to 1 hour "Internet Radio" a day every day in a month is about 2GB that are subtracted from your data plan.
2) THREAT TO OUR HEALTH !
The "Internet Radio " requires active use of the antenna ( the FM radio has a passive use of the antenna that is only receptive FM signal ) .
So the "Internet Radio" with active use of the built-in antenna continuously exchanges data send them to antenna GSM / UMTS / LTE nearest (which is not required by the FM radio ) what means that those who use the "Internet Radio " takes a good dose of electromagnetic waves during its use due to the sending of data to the antennas GSM / UMTS / LTE.
I think it should be noted that recent studies it seems that prolonged use electromagnetic waves can cause cancer .
So the "Internet Radio" can be Carcinogenic .
This aspect you can also see from step 3.
3) LIMITED BATTERY LIFE !
This continuously sending data to the GSM / UMTS / LTE entails a considerable sending electromagnetic waves ( rather than in the FM radio is only read/received those already present around us without sending electromagnetic waves from our device).
This sending of electromagnetic waves GSM / UMTS / LTE "Internet Radio" causes quick unloading of the battery as sending electromagnetic waves requires a lot of energy.
On average, we observe that a 1-hour "Internet Radio" consumes over 300 % more battery the "FM Radio "
4) RECEPTION PROBLEM IN MANY CASES !
Last point, the "Internet Radio" requires a sufficient speed of data exchange that implies that virtually unusable in areas covered by only GPRS or UMTS in areas with poor signal .
In addition to the continuous change of cell GSM / UMTS / LTE in movement that has propped up the our phone creates moments of emptiness in the exchange of information with the network with an audio of the "Internet Radio " that can jump continuously, or in some cases stop at all ( unlike the FM radio in areas that cover the lower hear a rustling stronger or weaker depending on the case ) .
So the "Internet Radio" presents problems of coverage and greater sensitivity to the FM radio and species moving into areas where coverage is not very good signal UMTS / LTE.
My advice is to boycott the "Internet Radio" by buying products with " FM Radio " making it clear to companies that the buyer is not stupid as the "Internet Radio " takes electromagnetic waves in addition to those that already takes having plus coverage more limited and more sensitive to everything , we have a huge demand on battery power and data ( GB ) that you typically pay !
Now the choice is yours to be savvy consumers and not as many sheep as there would global giants .
Thank you for reading this my thoughts.
Be aware that the market RecForge has just received a major update to version 2.1.0, which improves the preformance of the device so our ARMv7 Xperia plus it adds support to the Italian language.

I'm glad it works fine on your phone.
Can I ask which model you have tried?
I ask this because as you've noticed at the time for "X10 Mini" and "X10 Mini Pro" are in the list of supported devices probably because until now I had no confirmation of the operation of these models.
Thank you.
I ask anyone who has tested this method of recording from FM radio to inform me if it works on your smartphone specifying the model.

The recording is done with high quality (stock + FM Radio RecForge) and you need the headset that form the antenna.

From what I know should work with both "Xperia ARC" than with "Xperia ARC S".
I have an Active Xperia so I can not be certain but I got to try on
an "Xperia ARC" and it worked great the Italian version.
But I do not know if it works with all the various versions that exist in the world.
Who wants to know if it works you just have to try.
I want to remind all those who have tried this method to recording FM radio for android Xperia writing if it works properly on Arc / Arc S.
Be aware that the list was published of Sony's Android devices supported by the method of Rec FM radio.
I tried that with this method are obtained recordings from radio fm significantly realy better than those obtained with the FM radio stocks of Galaxy Note and Galaxy S3.

I think it is already possible as Spirit FM seems to work partially on our Xperia although this app is able to communicate with the chip Fm Yet he can not address properly the audio output so you do not hear anything even if you change the station or display the power of the FM signal.
From what I gather that the road to full compatibility is good but not a svilluppatore so good as to resolve the compatibility issue of Spirit FM.
I also hope that someone else who manages to take this step forward.
works fine with xperia arc lt15i arconium 8.2 GB.It recordes and don't play to much with db the sound is to strong.Tnx for this
Tips for using values around +3 db to increase the volume during recording because with such high values. +10 db can create noise or distorted sound.

It seems that this method does not work on Xperia S / P Xperia / Xperia U / Xperia Alone
does anyone know why not work on them given also that look similar to the NWZ-Z1000 see this: Link- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1706970
Does anyone know why on Xperia S / P / U / Sola is not running even though similar to the NWZ-Z1000??
Anyone know a way around this block that seems to have put Sony??
There are some versions of the world Xperia S / P / U / Sola who do not have this block of FM recording, and if there are versions that allow the record FM tell us what version of software you have and what country.
