Dear Xperia Sola users,
This kernel is based on latest stock sources. I'll continue to add more features to the kernel in the future
I hope you enjoy my kernel
== features ==
- Pre-rooted
- NTFS support
- Added lot of things for better performance
- Small changes for battery life
== download == Xperia SSpeed kernel v3 ==
- XDA Fileserver: KA Xperia SSpeed kernel XDA Fileserver
- Mediafire: Xperia SSpeed kernel v3
kernel.elf: Xperia SSpeed kernel v3
== download == Xperia Sola stock kernel ==
- mediafire: Xperia Sola stock kernel
I kindly ask everyone not to mirror my download links. Thank you
== Important information ==
- The extra governors aren't optimized for our new Xperia 2012 devices yet. So lag or reboots can occur
- The extra I/O schedulars are also not edited for Xperia 2012 devices so they can also cause lag.
- Overclocking is a risk, be aware it can harm your device if you do things wrong. But dont worry, 1.15Ghz won't harm your device
== credits ==
- Nick Holtus/ICX & atarii for helping me build my first kernels
- KeiranFTW for the recovery
- Doomlord for his work on Xperia 2012 kernels
- Sony for kernel sources
- And everyone who helped nick and Doomlord
== Installation instructions ==
Important! Only for unlocked bootloader
1) Flash the kernel:
- Open up fastboot and type: fastboot flash boot kernel.elf
2) Install the Wifi modules using root explorer:
- Go to system\lib\modules\2.6.35.7+\kernel\net\compat-wireless\drivers\staging\cw1200
- Rename cw1200_core.ko and cw1200_wlan.ko to cw1200_core.ko.back and cw1200_wlan.ko.back
- Copy the wifi modules from my kernel into the same folder and change permissions to rw-r--r--
I am not responsible for damage to your device, use at own risk!

There is no VDD (voltage control) implemented yet in the kernel. We are trying to do it, but it's difficult with the st-ericsson chipset.
We are also searching to change the GPU clock because it's underclocked at the moment
Ok Thanks for the Constant Updates and Answers for the Questions
kernel v2 is released extra features, fixes and more stable
I will test it

blend MIUI speed porting? i was getting an error when trying to do it and posted on the thread and no one helped me and emailed the thread creator with no reply
hi,
this kernel would be great.
the previous one didn't have bluetooth.
with this kernel we can port miui v4 (dhd build)
The previous one didn't have bluetooth? strange, works for me...
EDIT:
going to ask the dev for kernel source code, getting graphical glitches.
nope.
not for me and many others.
---------- Post added at 07:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:48 PM ----------
when would it be released??
Hey Keiran are you also taking a look to the rom and maybe fixing some bugs? I remember bluetooth and touchpads not working in BMSPS...

Bluetooth might be an easy fix, not quite sure though, think it is more ROM related than kernel related, might have something to do with the firmware.
Touchpads though, I do not think that I can fix this. MIUI is closed source.
If I remember correctly, the DHD has a different bluetooth chipset, so, we will see
Keiran
hi,
i thought dooms miui kernel is based upon cm7?
when he made it cm7 had no bluetooth and touchpads
he said it is the kernel (same as touchpads) if this one is based upon new cm7 kernel bluetooth and touchpads would work

DooMLoRD made an MIUI kernel?
EDIT: ah **** - I was using semc not fxp sources xD
yes he did.
look in the blendmiui thread (don't know wich page)
Nick
Just made my first MIUI kernel, release comes tomorrow.
Bluetooth still doesn't work but I think that is ROM related.
1.6GHz OC on MIUI is amazing.

I wonder if the Kernel is a V3 Kernel already or still a V2.6 ?
I thought that Sony Kernel for 2011 devices have not stepped up to V3 so I am confused by your label V3.
Can you post the exact Kernel Version you complied and put our stuff in?
So far I am non sirkay xKernel 2.6.32.9 (587d).
What is the major difference between V3 and V2.6 Kernel versions?
Re: [KERNEL][LINARO][ICS][RADEON v3.0] RAY [18/01/2013]
This kernel is not 3x !
So why do you write then:
INFORMATION
Based on Latest Source .587 BY SONY
Present Kernel Version 3.0
And which true Kernel version is then?
2.6.32.9 or later?
Please make your own numbering less confusing - e.g. by giving your Kernel a "name" and then a related version. We already have doomkernel, xkernel, flykernel and maybe otheres I have not noticed yet.
I also wonder why you start with V3 - where have V1 and V2 been?

You can use "more locale" app from play store to have the apps in your language. However system apps and framework will remain in English.
I removed some languages to get a lighter and smoother rom.
Hi italian friend, i am going to try it with locked bootloader with atias patch, i will post results!
Can you add JB Camera app in your rom? It's a LOT better than ICS version and works very well in CM9 based rom!

It's not a bug actually, so there is no fix... Personally I like it cuz it saves battery.. Anyway, download "Advanced WiFi lock" from playstore, and your problem will be solved..
