Hi everyone. I currently have an HTC EVO 4G and I am in the middle of a two-year contract. I really want the HTC EVO 3D though. Am I able to trade in my EVO 4G and get the EVO 3D for $100 or do I have to pay the full price?
Text 'upgrade' to 1311.
I did that but it said that I couldn't upgrade till may 1st 2012. is there any way at all that I can buy the htc evo 3d?
Just sell yout evo on craigslist and make more money that way than get the evo 3d

I'd love to do that but if I'm still in the middle of my two-year contract, aren't I not allowed to do it?

Sure you can sell it. You could sell it and then activate a cheap $20 Sprint phone on your account if you wanted to. Just sell the Evo, and put it towards the cost of the 3d. Or you could get in touch with Sprint's customer retention and see if they'd be able to push your full $150 upgrade through for ya. They did for me, as I was also in the middle of my 2 year contract. They pushed the 150 upgrade for me, and I was able to get the Evo 3d for 199. Good luck.
Just go to a 3rd party Sprint store and ask the guy to back date your contract, that's what I do and I get upgrades whenever I want
I was in your position, I bought out of my contract for $75 so I could buy @ full upgrade pricing, gave my EVO 4G to Sprint for $150 through the buyback program & bought the 3D for $199. All billed to my Sprint account.

You could try this

And then this

Then sell your current phone and you could end up making money while switching to the 3vo

Seriously? Have you even looked at any of the suggestions? Who the f*** knows how much you will end up paying, or receiving.
We have no idea. Full price of the EVO 3D $549.99, price w/2yr upgrade $199.99. Price you receive from selling your current phone (?). Read the previous posts, use the info contained within, call Sprint. Help us to help you.
Do a little reading, try and help yourself, at least a little bit. Here's a link to my post about 3 posts back, read the links and you will find your answers.

Works for me. I pre-ordered my Evo 4G LTE the other day to replace my Evo 3D. My teenage son is on Virgin Mobile with an LG Optimus V now, so maybe I'll be able to upgrade him to my EVO 3D once I get my EVO 4G LTE.

Why are you upset about it? VM is getting an old phone, rebranded. It runs ICS, but that just tells me that our official release is not far off.

Hey everybody. Might be getting this phone in a trade for my sensation and $150. Do you think that the rezound is worth switching over to and also I'm hearing that they aren't sold in the UK so do you guys think that it will work here or not?

As long as o2 uses the 2100mhz band for 3G/hspa u should've good. If it doesn't... Well the rezound won't work for your carrier
I bought an HTC Evo 3D on eBay. I took it to a Sprint store to activate it. They said it had been flashed to Boost Mobile.
How does one flash an Evo 3D to Sprint?
I think you would need get the original ESN or MEID. Its on the boxing of the phone I think. Its going to be a lot of work though. Resell it or get a refund if that wasnt mentioned.

I think I read here several months ago people were able via insurance (Asurion) to get a One X replacement for their dead/dying evo 4g lte, but my search hand had failed me.
is this(still) the case?
are former E4L users digging the one x?
any other thoughts?
thanks...

Do you mean the HTC ONE or the One X? It can't be the latter as Sprint does not have the One X in their network of phones.

Assuming you mean HTC One, alas that "deal" is gone. I've gotten my EVO replaced 3 times in the last month because Sprint keeps on giving me bad EVOs. I tried to have them give me another refurb phone, but they won't do it. Now my current EVO does not have working bluetooth and apparently I've reached the maximum number of times you can get a replacement with TEP so I'm stuck with this even though it's completely their fault.
Sorry about that rant, but I've looked at the phones they will replace the EVO with and they are: LG Viper, Motorola Photon, and Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The only decent phone is the Galaxy Nexus, but that too is aging.
