Just a question i took the sd card out of my 3d and placed it into this phone and now when I mount to PC is is so slow tha tit normally crashes windows explorer before it loads the contents of the sd card. Anyone know any fixes or anything its terribly frustrating when trying to place roms on the sd card.
You probably need to reformat the sd card within the EVO LTE. That said, it sounds like you already have stuff on the sd card. So I would suggest putting the sd card back in your EVO 3D transferring your files to your PC. Then put the sd card in your EVO LTE, reformat it there, then load your files back on to your sd card from your PC. That's what I had to do when transferring my sd card from my old EVO 4G.

I went and picked up my Photon from Sprint yesterday. Today I decided to back up everything on my SD card before I go ahead and "customize" the Photon. I took the SD card out of my Moto Droid X and put it in the Photon before I decided to back it up. When I go to copy the SD card over to the PC the process keeps freezing (getting not responding in task manager). I'm running Win7 ultimate x64 on the pc. Is there a solution?
Thanks
If u can open sd and view files its not.your card its a pc issue make sure the lock switch on sd reader is off ir just copy your sd card from the photon to its internal memory then take ur sd out then put a new sd in the photon and copy back to new sd
then take out new sd put old sd in and copy all data again this may be lengthy but would allow you to mirror all files to two sd using internal storage
Or try a diff pc

Thanks for the reply. I finally took the card out of the Photon and put it back in the DX and everything transfered perfectly. When I put it back in the Photon I formatted and then factory restored and all is good.
My android refuses to see my SD Card it seems.
I can access it, copy etc etc on a computer, but on the phone it says that I need to insert a SD Card in order to mount it.
Any solutions?

Might be worth backing it up and re formatting I had similar issue and eventually my laptop stopped recognising it too. Turned out the SD was corrupt so I'd back it up regardless.

If you have an micro sd adapter to put your sd into then and a slot for sd's on your pc, why cant you put your old sd card back in your phone and copy all over to your pc, then take it out...then put your new card back into your phone them just copy over what you want or need....it is time consuming, I just did this a week or so ago...upgraded from a 16 to 32gb ext sd...

Tried that, for some reason when I put the old card in, it showed up as almost blank. I cleared caches and all, still nothing. The new one works fine. Problem is all the pics are on the external. No biggy, most are on dropbox.

For some reason, sometimes a copy and paste just doesn't copy the whole card. I copied many cards up to 32GB and didn't have any issues. However last month I tried to copy a card that had about 7GB on it. For some reason it only copied 4GB and left some folders out. I tried it again, and again it only copied the same 4Gb with the same folders only. No reported errors and it said complete. But it wasn't. Possibly a computer reboot may have fixed the issue but I was impatient.
Instead, I used winrar to zip the contents of the card up and then unzipped it on the new card. This way worked perfectly. 7Zip, Winzip, or an image program like UltraIso would work well also.
I found in it can be done on some devices. If we can also do it on evo 3D, we can avoid keep moving apps to sd card.
The Evo 3d has no internal sd card the swap with an external sd card but I am working out a way to put the data partition in SD card

Cool! It is so exciting.
I just tried 4.4. It works great on evo 3D.
Okay so i'am new here and want to know if I can access the entire data on my as card on windows after placing it in an android 4.2.2 htc desire 310 or am I only ever going to be able to access the current phone partition of the sd card?
I placed the sd card into the phone with 28gb of data already on the sd card, then to my horror saw the phone say it was preparing the sd card (holy **** this phone just earned a hammer through the screen was my first thought), however I can see all the data that was and is still on the sd card in the android boot loader sd card explorer.
So is there a way to access that 28gb on a windows pc or am I screwed?
Preparing the SD card doesn't mean it's formatting it.
And if it was, it'd ask you before taking such a step.
Let it prepare the SD card. There shouldn't be any problem. You can access it through windows. There's also a easier way actually, you can buy a Card Reader, and put your SD card in it and connect it to your PC....
So, I hope this answers your queries
