Kind of a mean thread title but my buddy has an SIII being held by store manager until tomorrow and is excited and just got news of Galaxy SIII not being released tomorrow on Sprint. Apparently pre orders will still be at doorstep tomorrow for 16GB but not 32 and that is only shipped devices, not in store purchases.

just showing something that I felt was a little funny and even informative for people wanting the SIII tomorrow morning. I like the SIII but wouldn't ever think of trading this device for that one. I remember the Epic 4G vs my Incredible... No comparison at ALL!

Does a sim card carry all data? Being on the CDMA side of things I really have no idea of the answer to this question.
To me, this seems like a wonderful idea. I would definitely buy it. HTC should make a version of the Pad that is compatible with the EVO LTE (not likely but one can dream, right?).
I personally love the idea behind the padfone. Curious to see how it works out In the real world.

Yes, has been discussed to in Q&A. VZW has even acknowledged this is wrong IIRC, yet they are not going to fix it on their webpage.
Gotta love the Verizon web devs and marketing folks making errors of such significance as to leave out NFC support and putting in S-Beam which the average person won't know what it is.
Of course I do like the commercial where the dad is leaving on a trip and as het gets in the taxi the kids use S-Beam to send him a movie and then his wife does the same, but suggests he not watch it on the plane with a smile oh yeah. I guess those iPhone folks can't do that.
So, I funded the Pebble watch on Kickstarter. Should be getting it within a couple of months. Anybody else fund it or planning on getting it? Any devs? I'll be happy with the stock functionality, but I know if some of the devs get ahold of it, it could really be awesome.
I'll post my impressions once I finally get it, although every tech blog has already covered it, so I doubt I'll be adding anything you haven't heard before. It would be nice if we could get a little sub-group of OG users rocking them (pun intended).
I'm seriously considering getting one, but I already own a Sony live view so that's holding me back a little, but I'd be extremely interested to hear some impressions.

Mr. Toad, what date did you fund it? I show my authorization date as April 22, 2012. According to reddit, mine should be shipped in the third week from when they started shipping. You must have been within the first 20,000 or so?
I funded pretty early on too and just had to confirm my shipping address, they will begin processing in 48 hours (whatever that means). Looking forward to finally having it.

Looks like Ill be rocking my old Captivate until the Google Galaxy S4 comes out.
Honestly I can't say ill miss the X+, I loved my Hero and was very disappointed in the accessories for the X+ and the performance, though the LTE speed was awesome.

Yes, the phone still works. Its such a "rare" phone none of the local screen replacement places have anything for it and won't touch it.

Its not worth $200. I would rather use my Captivate until something new comes along. Besides I can finally have CM10 back.
I'm impressed you managed to break it lol, I've dropped mine several times and the screen is still going strong.
