Galaxy S3 Won't stop talking

I've disabled driving mode but my phone keeps reading off everything on screen. (Emails, facebook, etc). I've tried rebooting... powering down. Nothing works. Anyone ever encounter such a problem?
Settings- accessibility - uncheck talk back.? Might work.

have you guys notice samsung seem to enable every features in S3 ,and it became a problem to us ,lol

video freezes in landscape

happened in cm9 and after full data and cache wipe and cm10 install still happening.
plays fine in portrait in either gallery player or youtube, but when rotated to landscape the video freezes but the audio continues.
when i touch the screen it plays for a second from where the audio is up to but then the video stops again and the audio continues.
:silly:
Edit: actually it happens in portrait also
Use screenfilter app from the play store

Screen Shot App[Xperia S, others may work too][ICS]

Wanted to share this....(however many of us might know this. If this is useless....Then, Moderator... You can lock this thread)
The GB version came with screenshot app molded in the power down menu. But I missed it in the ICS version.
I had been using Screenshot ER Apk.
But I found this Inbuilt App is still there.
To trigger use this key combinatio:
POWER BUTTON + VOLUME DOWN ROCKER
Done!

This isn't an app, but a built in ICS feature. And a lot of threads had been created to talk about this...

actually its power button + volume down cause wen volume up is use your phone will reboot.
It's a shame Sony didn't bother to tell people about this. I've told about 10 people now

Why should they?
That's how nearly all ics devices take screenshots. They also didn't tell you how to scroll etc and I guess you still figured it out :/

[Q] Stuttering in Settings app

Ok, so i updated my xperia S to ICS and when i get in the settings app and when i scroll it's stuttering and lagging as hell! Also when i long press home button and the recent apps show it also stutter alot, and when im swiping left and right. Is there any fix for that? I'm on 6.1.A.2.45.
And i cannot unlock the bootloader so roms and kernels ar not the solution
What launcher are you using? If you have just updated maybe give it some time to settle?
. 45 is a lot smoother for a lot of people. I would maybe try a force restart with power and volume up and then just use it for some more hours and see if there are any changes.

Well, i'm using stock launcher, which came with the phone.
I have ics for one week and its nitbgetting better, and then i wanted to install a custom kernel butb i can't because my bootloader is locked
I mean, my old nexus S with single core is much smoother in settings app, almost fluid, like a butter and my new xperia with dual core processor is lagging as hell.. :/

Well at the moment my experia S is a lot smoother than my girlfriends nexus S
So really I think all these phones are a bit crazy sometimes!
Try my restart suggestion. But if it is lagging a lot in general, re flashing the firmware might be the best solution.

Well in almost every aspect Xperia S is smother (facebook app, evernote etc.) But only in launcher and settings app it laggs CONSTANTLY and it's not a minor lag, it's huge.
EDIT: Force restart didn't help :/

Touchwizz force closing

Hi guys,
I recently bought an galaxy s3,
After setting it up the way I wanted it to,
Everytime I download something from the Google play Store, and exit it afterwards,
Touchwizz force closes...
Is there someone else with this problem?
Or does someone have a solution?
It's not a big problem but rather irritating!
Thanks!

Is that the whole problem?
But why is it crashing Touchwizz...
I have enough space on my homescreen
Thanks!

if you don't mind to set up your screens again. You can try to delete touchwiz data in the apps manager.
Maybe it will solve the problem.
I had an issue with touchwiz freezing sometime, but it was before to upgrade to Jelly Bean.
Otherwise you can install Nova Launcher to replace touchwiz.
