Screen won't sleep while plugged in

My screen stays on when plugged to a charger or the computer, is anyone else having this problem? It seems like it just started happening all of a sudden

Go under app settings, development, and make sure the keep screen on option is off.

Do you have the option ticked not to turn off screen when charging? If the phone is in debug mode and you flick open the notification menu, you can change some debug settings. One of them being screen sleep while charging.
Sorry to hijack the post, but I love my screen being on while plugged-in but is there a way to prevent it from dimming. I want it to stay at max without dimming, and it drives me crazy.
thanks

Alerts

Is there any way to make the options button to flash as a reminder that a message waiting? Its been a long time since i had a blackberry but the flashing LED was pretty useful and would save powering the screen

NoLed from the market will make a blinking LED on the screen to let you know of notifications.
Search for BLN. This allows you to use the lights of your back & home button as a notification LED.
If you don't want to mess around with kernels NoLED is the way to go.

Screen leak after ICS

After the ics update allot of filter apps like screen filter and screendim stopped working properly with our hardkeys backlight, bringing back the dreaded screen bleed issue. Has anyone figured out how to fix this.
PS: rooting is not an option as of right now.

Nope. Root or light bleed. Those are your options

Help pl (wakelock)

What does 2 nd and 3rd means ? Hw to reduce it ? I have nt set any alarm
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
are you using lightflow or any other battery monitoring app?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
'alarm' means a wake lock caused by a notification. If your led flashes a wake lock is always caused (on any phone).
It's part of the reason samsung never included led notification lights until now.
As for the battery monitor wake lock I am almost certain its the better battery stats app that causes that.
If you want true reflection of wake locks change the preferences in that app so it shows you time spent in wake lock while screen is off. Any wake lock while the screen is on doesn't really effect the battery anyway...

Buttons light up on notifications app?

Hello, is there an app the when I get a message or email sect the screen buttons will flash or light up. Not rooted so it can't be BLN... thanks!

I don't believe you can get the 4 buttons to light up for notifications without BLN support.
You could try NoLED from the market. It's not exactly what you're looking for, but close. It does chew battery though I believe because it keeps the device in a wake lock, at least it did way back when I tried it on my captivate.

Might as well just root and flash a ROM that has bln though.
