Shaky stabilizator - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I think we all know about the shaky stabilizator... i was just wondering if it will be fixed or if its even possible to be fixed cuz when im just holding the camera with the stabilizator it looks smooth but when i record and then view the video its really shaky and bumpy.
Im just wondering if its a software bug or just the stabilizator is no good ?

no it wont be. ICS update sucks.camera quality seems to be worse or so, LAggy. HTC kind of laggy.

That is really good news.... too boring these days without flashing.

I can't run most 3d games. .......

Even when using WebOS I have to turn WiFi off and on again.
This is not a problem I have with some of my other devices like my SGS2.

We over at the Atrix 4G forums don't have a working camera in our ICS Alpha, either. It's okay, though... it's not like I used my phone camera ever, that's what my wife's is for.
Our Alpha was kind of rushed, as well, but turned out pretty good. We still don't have hardware acceleration... though some of us, including myself, have rigged things together to get us through *some* of the games with minimal complications. We're still working on it, and haven't had a true update to the ROM in a while, but like anything that's worthwhile it'll take time.
My point being? Thank you everyone that's contributed to this project, I'm sure all of us appreciate what you've done to make this such a great platform.
To be honest I don't care about the camera and I don't think many people will. It's a terrible camera even for video chat, I'd rather just use my phone.
Video playback is a pretty essential thing though, so it's good that it's nearly finished and will be done when it's released. Even if it's really buggy like the first CM7 alpha this will still be a great release.
No Working Camera
I do care, because I am using skype with video mode on.
And this is the main reason why I keep WebOS running most of the time (except better battery performance).
This is not a complain! Just a remark. I'm really happy with my TP!!!
Thanks for all the work of the developers.
this is great news...even tho it sometimes bother me that camera doest work, but having dual boot solves that as i use webOS when i have to use skype with video....
I would love to ICS update without camera...damn cant wait...

I don't think the camera is that important on a tablet. If this is ready for release they should just release it already.

Simply put, because he doesn't want to. That's about the gist of it.
He's an amazing developer...I'm sure he wants to put out a good product with the initial release.
if you are excited then show it dude...why do u want to close it? u can ignore it...and we all are discussing the latest update the OP got from the devs....
may be, they are not releasing Alpha becoz many people brick their devices and blame CM team..they must be waiting to make it as easy and safe for everyone to use it...

HTC one x/s camera apk

Since the sensation got this port why can't we?
Sent from my HTC_Amaze_4G using XDA
sense 4.0 framework differs from sense 3.6, thats simply it.
We can always just try to come up on the camera apk, lib files and just try it. Doesn't hurt.
Or you can download a app from the market until we get it working because I'm pretty sure our phone has the same features

Actually we had ICS for quite a bit, lol.
I've done a lot of research, there is an actual hardware difference in the htc one that makes a few new functions possible, even if we DO get that working on our phone, there won't be ANY different function because we are missing that chip.
Anyways, just go read this, at the very bottom, is explains the new image chip, and what it does.. without that chip(and sense4.0) there would be just about NO difference between our camera app and theirs. http://www.htc.com/www/htc-sense/camera/#page-navi
how does the camera work on the sensation
lol. actually my first comment sounded pretty dumb. but what i was trying to say is. since we got ics fully working.... a simple apk mod should be a piece of cake

idk i just want the new camera app lol
really i dont think we need the freakin 30 shot but what we really should have is the panorama piece in the sense 4.0 camera, that would be nice, the 30 shot thing is meh unless you intend to use a phone like a pro camera sumtin wrong with ya go and buy a 3K camera then lol. thats just my opinion, panorama would be a decent upgrade for our phones, and to have an actual beats app even though thats not even related <_< .

I agree we dont need a freaking 30 shot just the ability to control when to start and when to stop the burstshot at will. Just sayin and why would i need a 3k cam if i got a Smartphone that is intended to fill that necesity as well as many others ne ways thats just my opinion....

[Q] I'm Confused.

I've been hearing a lot about my aging YP-G70 and its ICS camera fix. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be able to play Ingress (JUST GOT MY ACCESS CODE!) but I don't want to revert to Gingerbread again. I'm still confused about the progress being made here though. JackPot apparently fixed front cam, but was this released? Also, is the choppy back cam fix released too? I just can't keep up with this anymore... THX in advance!

Never knew about the front camera fix. Its probably only on his own ROM as he has also got HW working on his ROM but not released it. Don't think there's a fix for the choppy back camera thing. The devs may have been secretly chatting via PM to make the back work for ICS but who knows? I've also wanted Ingress, looks great.
IDK but I saw a legit looking video with an ICS GP 5.0 INTL with a working front cam. It also had a back cm fix, but it was super choppy and didn't really work. I'll see if I can get u a Link

Sense camera

Can the sense camera be installed on an aosp Rom? That's the only thing keeping me on a sense Rom right now.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda premium
Absolutely not lol...I honestly don't know it may. Be a way...but since the htc inspire 1080p recording was possible with continuous auto focus on sense roms....even aosp jellybean still can't do that...also I think in order to make full use of any htc camera...an htc sense kernel is required...ima noob tho
Sent from my MyTouch 4G Slide using xda app-developers app
i believe it needs the sense framework to function at all since it uses if anything links to sense api's like its gallery for instance. If it worked it would probably have been ported over to aosp by now, or at least had a beta testing thread.
That's kinda what I figured. Worth a shot though.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda premium
installing it with your aosp gallery will probably cause problems just fyi. ahh yup wont work see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29446943&postcount=4
K well here another question. Can the sense 4+ camera be used with a sense 5 Rom?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda premium
that i don't know but from what iv seen and used it is basicaly the same camera with zoe in it that doesn't work anyways with our phone. EDIT: also i just today installed the 4.3 camera and its just adds another gallery and another camera app and i love photosphere it works great here is a pick of my backyard for quality, i moved it too fast so it got kinda of confused lol.
4.3 camera apk is actually pretty solid and has 1080p video recording
If you compare quality of the AOSP camera and Sense camera even rudimentary there's no comparison on the quality.

Because the sense camera relies on the sense framework.

Yea, sorry man it's tied to the sense framework. I did a ton of looking around on how to make it work and it keeps ultimately coming back to this same issue. It can't be done. I flashed over to ARHD just for this reason. I use my camera too often to "settle" for the google version. Catching my toddler with a smile is an act of God so the burst mode shooting just by holding the button is a HUGE help there plus I liked the zoe pics playing in the gallery. Also not to mention the sense cam (in ARHD 31.0 at least) lets you record downscaled for MMS, the latest google cam apk doesn't allow recording in less than 480. So 1-2 sec vids max when you want to share via mms. I recommend looking into ARHD if you liked sense but didn't like all the bloatware.
These guys pretty much nailed it, for an explanation, it would be like taking a double carb high rise intake manifold from a 60s muscle car, and just snapping it down in place and bolting it up, then closing the stock hood while it's installed.
I know that isn't a good analogy because the intake would be easier to pull off, but it's late and I gotta go to be.

With that said, you can try out all the other different cameras available and get much of the same functionality. I use Sony MotionShot for the motion combining shots and Camera Zoom FX for Burst Mode and other effects.
I haven't missed the Sense camera since changing.

Just stumbled across this! That is exactly what I needed on my GPE ROMs. The camera was so blurry and terrible I couldn't take it anymore and went back to a sense ROM. Now I just need a working sense TV on a non sense ROM. Left CM and all the CM based mods because I couldn't take the audio quality or the camera.
