if i replace the motherboard of my hard bricked galaxy note can i update it to ice cream sandwich by kies?
also can i update to other versions of android or i'll suffer from the same issue

Hi i'm new to this so apolgies if i have asked in the wrong section,i have a galaxy s3 that was on orange but has been unlocked,so far i have not received the jelly bean update OTA i have tried via kies but it only updated the older ice cream sandwich firmware,i don't have the software update tab either on my phone which is annoying....can anyone tell me how i go about installing the update manually please???

Try Factory reset if it helps....
You can always go back to 4.0 by flashing is via Odin
If you don't know how to flash via Odin, then just search the forum with the name Odin.. You will get to the instructions

I recently upgraded my note Samsung Galaxy Note i717 to jellybean and now it is draining my battery life and I would like to downgrade it back to ice cream sandwich. Can ANYONE please help me.

MY girlfriend has a samusng galaxy nexus I9250 which one she does not want to flash. And the phone has not received update to the newest jellybean version yet 4.3.1 it still has 4.2.1. Anyone has any idea why cause the update is available a few months?
