Hi i'm new to this so apolgies if i have asked in the wrong section,i have a galaxy s3 that was on orange but has been unlocked,so far i have not received the jelly bean update OTA i have tried via kies but it only updated the older ice cream sandwich firmware,i don't have the software update tab either on my phone which is annoying....can anyone tell me how i go about installing the update manually please???

Try a Samsung or Kies forum
or use CHECKFUS to download the firmware and flash via Odin .

Had this myself ..... until today.
Today I ran Kies and was told there was an update to Kies. So downloaded & ran the update and connected an S3 that needs Jelly Bean. Device is recognised and Jelly Bean is being installed as I type.
Hello to all. I wanted to know how long you have to wait for the release of Jelly Bean for Galaxy SII branded 3?
How the hell will anyone know what firmware you require through just the brand?!?
Post some info about your phone (Settings > About phone) And i can tell you what firmware you can use to update to JB

MY girlfriend has a samusng galaxy nexus I9250 which one she does not want to flash. And the phone has not received update to the newest jellybean version yet 4.3.1 it still has 4.2.1. Anyone has any idea why cause the update is available a few months?

I tried using the mobile update setting and tried even with kies but its telling me that i have the latest update ( the info is 4.1.2)

i got a galaxy s3 . i up graded it to jelly bean 4.2.1 but there was no dutch setts in it, now i got jelly bean 4.3 whit dutch setts buit now im trying to upgrade to 4.3 but it still upgrading to old firmware 4.2.1 how come and how can i change it to upgrade to 4.3 dutch.
