You can place battery saving scripts in your init.d folder and when the phone boots it auto runs the script, hereby helping save battery or whatever other tweak scripts you have placed in the folder by whatever methods the scripts are written to do so.

Hey guys I just wanted to see what you have to say about minfree, like if they work and do they save battery etc. Because I think it is hurting it but I'm not.

Im on wicked rom and siyah 2.6.6 do i need to flash anything else on to it. I heard people talk about battery scripts and all that. And changing the voltage and im not sure if im suppose to flash on a script or something. If there is something i need to flash then someone let me know. I just want a good battery thats why i choose siyah so maybe this script stuff is good. Plus theres not one theres mutiple scripts so then which one. Its all very confusing to me :? Soneone enlighten me please

Ask in the Siyah thread in the development section.
No you don't need cuz in version 2.6.3 we see
removed siyah-battery, siyah-defaults and siyah-performance scripts from the blog. please remove all existing scripts before installing this version (or flash your existing rom again to remove all scripts). use init.d scripts if you know what you do, otherwise use VoltageControl app or ThunderBolt! scripts. use this CWM recovery flashable zip to remove previous 01siyah script. just flash it once and /system/etc/init.d/01siyah script will be removed.

and for 2.6.6 you don't need zip for battery.
The scripts people are talking about are pikcahu's thunderbolt! scripts, you dont need to flash them if you dont want to, they can help, but performance/batt are good at stock values.
(Part of thunderbolt! is built into the kernel anyway)
Thanks guys so i should leave it at wat its at when i flashed 2.6.6

What do you want to change?
I would use voltage control myself, though with 2.6.6 it wont set max frequency correctly, that's supposed to be fixed next kernel version.
Well i use it to clock cpu lower at low battery and screen off

Yeh you can use setcpu to-do that, if you want! It wont hurt anything. Dont Undervolt to much or you may get instability.
By undervolt u mean underclocking right ?

No.. undervolting is lowering the voltage at each frequency step
Underclocking is lowering the max frequency.
eg setting the max to 1000mhz would be underclocking
setting 1000mhz to 1100mV would be undervolting (just an example)
I havent even touched voltage settings i have no exp in tht

Any Of You Guys Have A sugestion
Add this to your build.prop
rio.ril.disable.power.collapse=1
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=100
ro.mot.eri.losalert.delay=1000
pm.sleep_mode=1
i tried that, faster charging + better battery.

How do I do that?

Go to System and edit as text build.prop file. Add those lines at the bottom of the file and leave one empty line at the end of the file.
Deleting unused apps especially those that run in the background will save a day at least. Also set your CPU to Max 1,242 (an example) - my S is still smooth as i don't play games

You can edit it in your phone using any file explorer. In my case, I use ES File Explore. Battery performance improves as you use your phone. Just charge after draining and continue the cycle then you will notice the improvement.

And thanks to uDroid
And set yg cpu to 192-1030mhz

Jota Text Editor and there was no option for that in AndroZip so should I use a different file explorer instead?

Try using ES File explorer. Then go to settings and check "up to root", "root explorer" and "mount file system".

You could browse around in your device's section and choose what suits you.
Important things to keep in mind during doing these process,
Disable background data,
Background data not only consumes your battery, but also consumes space, hence slowing down your phone.
If you have a slow response Android phone, make sure to follow the above steps and see your phone come back to life with excellent response.
I don't know if I'm breaking a rule, I saw this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1969555), but I don't think so.
my question is: "there is a way for free up RAM space, and/or make the phone quicker?" (using stock ics .587)
.. because every time i press back botton, it use about 4 second to do the action. I used a task killer if course.
I'm using this phone about 3 weeks, it is a present, and it was new, not second hand.. so is a little bit STRANGE.
I'm prepared to root my phone if necessary.
thanks for any answer!

"tits"? lol
anyway dont use task killer, it do more harm than good.
root your phone, and use something like auto memory manager to modify android native memory manager value. the auto memory manager is free in google play.
or if u wanna do more just unlock bootloader and flash custom kernel. custom kernel usually have better memory mangement, power mangement etc compared to stock kernel.

so, Auto Memory Manager isn't just snake oil like all the task killers and RAM boosters?
No, auto memory manager just adjusts the threshold limit for the lowest free memory that will be accepted by the os and will only kill tasks if the free memory gets below the threshold limit,
whereas task killers will kill the task irrespective of the threshold limit.
